MVM SATURDAY
Hi small gang 'o mine...
Well I made a dentist's appointment for Monday with my "old" guy. I'll start him with the small stuff (the "white" filling that fell out in the front.) (I wonder if I should try the old tried and true trick..."Do a nice job because there's a GUN pointed at your ribs!." Let's see if I can get through two days without vomiting from anxiety! Have a nice day everybody. (Gloomy, drizzly, mid-50's here...the kind of day that's F's up the windows real good!)

Hi Ya!
One of the gang showing up for roll call! Today is my first really LC day, started with 2 sausages and 1 lightly scramble egg, with lightly fried tomatoes. It was scrumptious. Glad to be back, hopefully 100% by the end of the day.My local breast ca group is starting a run/walk class every Tuesday evening. I am planning to attend that to help get some more physical activity into my lifestyle. I noticed the small print...running not mandatory, so I can at least get started. Good News for DH his neuro-surgeon consult has been brought forward to this Tuesday, so surgery should be in the works soon! Roger, Do ya feel better now the mercury is out of yer mouth...and brain for that matter? When I had the new crown recently I asked that my dentist remove the amalgam. She did but I noticed she left a layer at the bottom as I guess there was only gum tissue below that. Do you have some Ativan in your stash? Don't drink coffee before you go for your filling too, really reduces anxiety for me. Barb, WE are all jealous of your colourful weekend. green with envy!Sounds such a delight the way Shawnee describes it all. Enjoy! Yep, WE are small but powerful! Shawnee, What a great concoction for Chuckster. A Holistic Vet told DS to give his mini doxie cod liver oil daily in his food for his coat and the occasional itchiness that this breed suffers, but the smell and the taste for the poor lil' fella! YUK! I have tried giving Oliver Salmon Oil by breaking open my capsules, he leaves the food coated with that....hmmm, need a beef flavoured pill. Yes, the fish oil would probably make a good nutrient for plants too! ![]() We have the grub problem on a patch of our front lawn, not sure what we can treat it with. We may have to try those worms, lematodes or something like that, a natural preditor of the grubs, right now the birds and other critter are enjoying them. Loretta, Are you quilting anything at the moment, or just gone Fishin? Ginny, Hope the Furkids are behavin and the OrKids too! Julie, Hope ya have a free weekend away from the driving and babysitting. I was babysitting last night again for them. Linda, Waving to yer where ever you are! Have a great weekend, it is rainy up here but lots of indoor chores to do anyway. SuSUN |

Hi Susun and Zip
Cloudy and chilly here too. Not to conducive to being out in the yard. What a frustrating day yesterday. After 50 mile trip to drs office for DH and waiting for about 45 min they decided that they were too busy to see him and could we just go and make another appointment. They gave him a sample of some antibiotics and wanted to give him a scrip for cough rx, but he has no cough just some laryngitis. I was ticked. It was a long trip and the weather yesterday was calling for severe storms which it did on the way home. Another stop we made at a Sewing store where I wanted to see if they had a new embroidery card was frustrated because the gal who had just gotten off the phone and was starting to help me got another call. She just abandoned me and went to the phone. I waited a little while and then just left the store. The other worker there was talking to a woman about stuff and did not seem to care to help me. Good thing we were able to get the Spirits, I sure needed them. Then last evening we were at a neighborhood gathering and one of the men there has recently lost 65 pounds on the low carb wol. I think he has done a marvelous job but those women sure were negative about his weight loss. They were telling him how bad he looked and that he looked sick. I was so upset with those women. I tried to be supportive of the low carb wol and get my 2 cents worth in. Why could they not just congratulate him and tell him what a wonderful job he has done. He sure was proud of his success. I tried to repair the damage they presented by inquiring about his health and energy levels. Says he feels great and has lots more energy now. I thought they were cruel. I am going to quit ranting now. Susun glad you hear that you are getting right back into your good eating habits and going to join the walker/runners. Are you drinking you water too? That was one of the things the fellow that lost the weighted stressed was drinking water. Post over there on the Goldens with us. Glad to hear the good news for DH. Hope you all get some answers to his weakness. Roger I think you should try a new dentist unless yours has kept up with modern technology. There is much to be said for "painless" dentistry". Do as Susun suggested about the Ativan. Check that pharmacy you have there in your apartment. Shawnee do you have some improvement in your welted condition? Linda have a great time. We'll leave the light on for your return. Hoping for a great weekend for all of you. |

My goodness Loretta - sounds like jealousy is rearing it's ugly head!! I can't imagine someone NOT being kind about another's weight loss.
Roger, is it the pain and discomfort and noise that bothers you about going to the dentist? Welcome to the HGTD club!!Tomorrow is May Day!! Remeber when we thought that the holidays would never be over? Waving to the rest! Barb |

Hey all,
Been up since the awful hour of 5 a.m., so I'm getting a bit tired! Yesterday's setup went very well, I really like how easy our new framework is working out. DH will do some tweaking after the show is over. We got asked to help with clerking during the ribbon judging (a friend of ours was the judges chairman) and we won't do that for just anyone since it requires EARLY rising so he should feel special we agreed! Judging went well. There were 10 exhibits (small show) and quite a few plants. We wound up with 3 blues, 5 reds and a white. Also got a trophy on our display. Not too bad for a couple amateurs, huh? Tomorrow is tear down, load up, and haul home. I'll be glad to have the 'chids back to normal. This will be our last show for the season. Next shows we may go to will be in the fall, and they're a pretty good drive so not likely we will exhibit on our own, but one never knows! Read through the last days posts but not remembering much LOL! I don't do early mornings well, and brain is now a bit foggy for the night. Time for some mindless entertainment in a comfy chair! L8r,
