THURSDAY, April 28, for the MVM
Good morning everyone.
Ohh, I dropped ANOTHER filling last night (30 year old silicate filling in front tooth.) When it happens I can even get nauseated with anxiety. I can;t put this dental visit off for very much longer (but I don't know who to trust!) Arggh. Shawnee, I have never SEEN welts that big and mean. Hasn't ANYONE found the allergen that does this to you...I HOPE it isn't the Chuckster...maybe SOMETHING in the garden? Bob said your cake drawing showed artistic merit...and he has a GOOD eye! Loretta, Sounds like you were using Diazinon granules on the lawn...doesn't that stuff have the WORST smell. I used to buy the liquid concentrate and dilute it 1 tsp/quart water and spray my apartement (and empty neighbor's places back in the old joint.) Well, it came in a brown pint bottle like cod liver oil. I left it on the table and Bob came out of the kitchen and said "That cod liver oil tastes weird." We spent the day at the hospital with 2 doses of ipecac...they were MINUTES from using the stomach pump when GUSH and the whole hospital smelled like your lawn today.Out went the Diazinon concentrate and the exterminator tank. (You should have seen me driving to the hospital like a crazy man! ...we had a police escort!)Ohhhh the NUTSY part: I first called information for the number for POISON CONTROL. The crazy operator said "That is an UNLISTED NUMBER!" <I Swear!> Susun, LOL on the burping with fish oil. There's NO way around it except to buy the big horse capsules and take 2 or 4 a day. Bob takes the liquid...I go either way and Target had a sale on the caps so that's what I'm taking. Eccch, I HATE to grab his fish oil spoon and use it for my coffee...happened more than once. No need to tape ANGELS, it will pop up here soon, but thanks. Congrats on the TWO POUNDS! Ginny, Such a good idea to boric acid the greenhouse walls...I'm sure it saves you from Spider mites, whitefly and even slugs! I always had to be VERY careful with the cats but now I use it liberally...haven't seen any "friends in 2 days." Doctor this morning...routine blood draw for 4 items : Lp(a), HDL, homocysteine and Sodium. I don't think I need to fast for any of the components. Bob is ALSO going to a dermatologist to have a spot on his leg looked at...he got screened at work and they said the one spot needed "looking." So we'll meet afterward and head for the Metropolitan Museum (Max Ernst show) and lunch.

Darn you Zip you made me go out to the garbage can and check the label. It is Bug b gone by Ortho and says on the bag is it the new Diazinon replacement of next generation bug killers. It did not have an odor at all.
It is the first time I have used that method (spreading the lawn) I ususally spray the outside house foundation w Diazinon. We will see. That sure was a very scary experience you had with Bob. I would have panic ed for sure. SUsun the omega 3 fish oil I get at Sam's club does not make me burp. I used to get some from Walgreens and that sure was ugly. Try another brand and see what will work best for you. Some are coated. Congrats on getting to work on those pounds and having success. Shawnee on those welts. They are more than hives. I would have been to see the doc. It probably is caused by that wedding cake by the looks of it. Once you get that finished, don't make any more. That is a lot of stress, plus you are going to make the edible flowers. I can't remember seeing such huge welts. Sure hope you get relief from them. LOL on the dress. Maybe Kaci is hoping you will wear it once and then hand it on down. What is the name of the DGD that is getting married? Hope the wedding is very soon. Thanks Ginny for the list. I will study it over and get back to you. I can think of a few people I want to shower with some sweet smelling fragrances. Good idea for gifts. Rain today, tomorrow and possible for more days of the weekend. Cooler temps also. Bad storms for tomorrow they say and we will be on the road going to the city of Paducah for doctoring and getting some Spirits. Julie I sure do like your new avitar. Hope you get a chance to do some relaxing. How are your Mariners doing? Later folks Loretta |

Hi Y'all
Lonely here today! Domestic Diva me played Suzy, then grabbed some outside time...in persuit of slugs and weeds. The annual era of the potted tuluips drew to a close for another year; I plucked the last 3 good blooms, then trucked the pots back behind the garage. Geez, Zip! The best way I know to get a good dentist is word of mouth (pardon the pun) Grill your friends and neighbors for recommendations. That's how I found mine, 20+ years back...now most of my friends and relatives use him....even cowardly Bob. Hope ya find a competent one ..soon! "That cod liver oil tastes weird." Oh, my GAWD! ...and the Poison Control having an unlisted number! Yeah, I've been screened for allergies: shellfish, Iodine, some cheeses, molds, white fish, chicken are culprits....the Chuckster is innocent this time ...then there's prolonged contact (such as waistband and bra), aka "contact hives", and the ever-popular Stress factor...and the hypoT connection. ( thyroid needs Iodine to function...but its one of my allergies) . I'm taking my "hives self-portraits" pics and copious notes to Dr appt.Oh, please relay to Bob that my "leaning tower of cake tiers scribble" is the residual aftermath of artistic talents decimated by mini-stroke, hypoT brain fog, and arthritis. Yes, when I was kinda normal in younger years, I did a stint as an Ad maker, doing hand-drawn illustrations and writing copy...waaay back in the Seventies. Before that, I worked for an Alaskan artist who supplied her wildlife paintings to tourist traps in Anchorage and Sitka. She would do a master copy, I'd make 50 or 100 copies in acrylics....sign HER name to them. They were small, 9x12...I mass-produced six at a time, sure got sick of caribu and musk ox with Tundra backgrounds. Also sold some of my origional paintings; loved working in monotones. Hand-eye coordination is gone now...what I visualize in my mind's eye no longer reaches my arthritic hand....so I grow flowers instead ![]() Started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil. My Mom discouraged it somewhat, just sure I would wind up like her left-handed, artistic sister who "was a worthless hussy!" ![]() LOL, Loretta...I too have checked the garbage to recover information ![]() Sure hope it works on those bugs. I can't use much around here, because of that snoopy Chuckster. I promise you, Ginny's goodies make excellent gifts! If you like Lemon fragrance at all, include the LemonGrass.. the DGBrat bride to be is DSon's daughter Karah. One of the reasons the cake thing is so stressful, cause I can't convince myself its not an exercise in futility...this couple has too many unresolved issues...I can't see it lasting longer than the initial lust and playing house period. LOL, however, I have been wrong before! Only one more GBrat left to go, her brother is going on 16...if /when he ever marries...I'm writing a check for a bakery-made cake !!!!!! On the welts: I once went to the ER when they scared me...after about 45 min., I got the shot, another hour of being negligently "observed", then sent home. Now, I take the pill, get faster results without the puzzled looks. You be extra-careful on that Spirits run! Hey to all the MIAs. Shawnee

Good evening folks!!
Been having so much fun I just knew you would all be crazy with envy!! Our friends of 25 years have a vacation home in the hills between Albuquerque and Sante Fe -- just enclosed the pool so we've doing about the same as Zip!! Tomorrow I'm doing some serious shopping for some turquoise jewerly-- I wonder what I should do with DH ? He always wonders off to some sporting goods store and months later will ask me where I got the new jewerly. Those hives look awful -- are you going to a allergist? I take it that you have done a food elimination diet to isolate the "culprit". Talk with everyone later..... Barb

Hey gang,
Small band we have today! We were able to get in the o-show building today for a short time, so we got our framework up and most of the 'hard goods' toted, less to worry with tomorrow We did get asked to help clerk at the judging, so I will be when 7:30 a.m. Saturday rolls around. Good thing the Bunn makes coffee in 90 seconds! I'm gonna need it.Zip, I know a real good dentist locally here, but that doesn't help YOU. My last experience was pretty well painless, so I'll definitely go back to these people. Now, when I get that danged crown done on the cracked tooth I sure hope they have lotsa happy pills for me! Yikes on that wierd 'cod liver oil' episode! Loretta, whenever you've had a chance to look and choose, just let me know. We were supposed to be 75 degrees here today, but the rain stuck around and it didn't get NEAR that! Hoping it's a bit cloudy and cool-ish tomorrow morning so we don't have to worry about the plants in the van getting too hot before we unload! I'll be keeping a close eye on the weather, no fried 'chids for me. Shawnee, I'd definitely buy the cake next time, but who knows, you may decide to do it anyways I sure hope those kids can make a good go of it, but it's not easy starting out in this day/age, especially if there's unresolved issues. Will they be getting married in a church or by a JP? I think anymore, most churches have you do some premarital classes/counselling before the pastor will do the service. The cake will be gorgeous! Since I could never draw or paint with any reasonable talent, I guess I'll have to just grow the flowers!Barb, oh, the turquois jewelery!!! I LOVE that stuff! I have a few pieces I got in AZ at one of the stands on the reservation just south of the Grand Canyon. I was sure amazed at how reasonable the prices were compared to what the stores sold it for in other areas. Always better to go to the source! Sounds like y'all are having a wonderful trip, keep on enjoying! Susan, I get my fish oil at Sams too, never had a burp prob with them. I do have a cast iron stomach (jalapenos don't even bother me!) so that may help too. Well, all, off to get a little lurk in before the craziness of this weekend. Will post show results if there's anything to post!
