Hi gang, one more check in before we hit the beach. Brother's plane got in early but the poor guy was horribly air sick.

He is resting comfortably now.

Roger, that play must have totally hysterical to say the least. Yeah, only in NYC can one find that kind of humor. Damn, I want to see that play.

I hear ya on the new "papa". Been reading a lot too.

Susan, good to see you back and posting. Now get back on the lc wagon and you will do just fine.

Ginny, my brother is here and really LOVING your soap. You just might have a customer in Montana

Loretta, Bet it is wonderful to have those contractors out of your yard. Hope the weather improves for you.

Air, car, and boat sick is really SICK. I remember as a kid...after an hour the car had to be bulled over while "Butchie" could toss his guts. Even the SMELL of a car made me nauseous (well, they alll smelled like ash trays back then anyways!

A gorgeous Sunny day promised today from the weatherman a high of 17 celsius.

Awww! Thank you Roger for going along with me on losing a 1lb by May day!

I saw that we are having Angels in America on Bravo, not sure if it already started while we were away, so I will try to catch it.

Shawnee, Thank you for giving me a term to call it "Carbing Out" almost smacks of "pigging out" that's how I feel.

Linda, I am trying to get up on the wagon agin! I think I will have to work at this slowly. Bin better this mornin.

Hope to check back tonight.

Off to DD's to babysit while she gets her hair done and few hours out.
Should be home early 9ish I hope.

On BRAVO??? Are you sure? That would be Bizarre because it's an HBO production and Bravo is NBC owned. I saw that it was on HBO2 last week but we don't get that. We are STILL missing Part 5 of 6...Damn.
I checked out BRAVO schedule and it;s not on...let me know what night it's on for you.

Nuts, had to clean the kitchen counter and put down Boric Acid because one of the "immigrant" neighbors kindly brought roaches with them. We've had a 3 "drop-ins" this last week! Dammit.

A big yawny day today ...but weather was a delight.

I finished a book; Phillip Dick's RADIO FREE ALBEMUTH ...good commentary on Fascism in an intergalactic scale, but ending a bit of a letdown. He didn't publish it during his lifetime, I wouldn't have either!

TACO BELL for dinner.

Meeting some friends that we have not seen for quite some time tomorrow and ya, it"s our Wedding Anniversary!!

that's why we took the trip!

Had GREAT green chili stew made by a Laguna Woman who still bakes her bread in the oval ovens outside - I've always liked the Pueblo way of life over the Navajo reservation saga.

Really want to get some more blankets and another Zuni Kachina before we leave.

So much for me...... have a great evening followed by dawn.

Another one of those days that "just got away from me"

...I managed to waste it foolishly, GOOD for me.

Basically, I was a bum and did whatever (or not) I wanted to do.

Zip, you have my heartfelt sympathy re those roaches! YUK! Early sixties, I spent some time in LA...moved into a new, never before occupied apartment...DAMN, they moved in before I did! Horrible curse they are. Hope ya can get the upper hand.

SuSUN, enjoy your time with lil Ella. Hey, its your WOE, and if taking it slowly works for ya, that's fine! Surround yourself with your fave LC foods (like Yoggie and Blueberries

) so its just as easy to grab LC as the "other" stuff.
I like to keep radishes in a bowl on the counter, snack on 'em like candy.

Loretta, so you've been hanging out with one of my fave Friends....can't beat Mother Nature, especially when she's happy

I've been nudging my DSon to take better care of his health...so I was thrilled when he called, totally winded..*pant*...he said "I bought a bike, just did 5 miles!"

Cold and rainy today, thought we were through with that cold part but NO! I miss my tank tops

Shawnee, good for you being a bum today! I will try my hand at that on May 7th. Our azaleas are just starting, rhodies will be a bit yet, dipladenias are blooming, redbuds are done, lobelia (blue) is blooming well. AND.... bletilla striata is blooming!

Loretta, glad you had a nice commune with Mother Nature. That's a good way to rejuvenate yourself!

Linda, have a blast for us too.....

Zip, my sympathies on the roach population. The only place I've ever seen them is here (when we moved in) and it seemed to take forever to get rid of them. I looked in the sheets before I crawled in bed to make sure there weren't any visitors for a LONG time. Nasty creatures.

Susan, do what you gotta do re the extra poundage. You know the drill, so climb back on the wagon with us! Glad you had a good time with Ella
