Good morning gang,

Not much on the boards for today except CLEANING the stables...we are playing POKER tonight (new chips and new cards, GOLL-LEEE!

) Since Bob is working, I must do it all myself...startting with my first toddle to Shop-Rite...we are out of EVERYTHING except frozen food.

I got a GP appointment for next week to monitor if this goddammed wine is doing my Lp(a) any good. It's NOT doing anything for my outlook on life: I think once we've had our millionth lifetime drink, our bodies say "no more please." (I tried to get an earlier appointment but he was gone this week and the moribund patients are breaking down the doors for Monday and Tuesday appointments.) I don't want to spend hours in the waiting room.

This everchanging weather is making the bedding hard to guess (comforter, sheet and electric blanket now)...as SOON as I put something in storage, I KNOW we'll go into the deep freeze...that's life.

TGIF and I'm off work until May 3rd !!!

Taking a much needed break and will be checking in from time to time. I plan on taking my laptop with me.

Linda, wishing you the best on your medical issues. You are right about being informed. Many of us don't do that until we have issues and then we have a right to know exactly what's going on -- this happened with the thyroid stuff with me. I was comparing notes with someone yesterday who is on same meds, etc. I have done enough research to know what to avoid and what is good to eat. People looked at me yesterday and said "really, one should avoid soy"!!!

Cleaning the stables? I didn't look at the avatar and thought it was one of our country gals really cleaning out that barn!!

My house is beginning to look that way but I'm content with the mess!!

Makes me think those meds for OCD are working -

Everyone have a great Friday and am leaving to do some serious shopping.

Morning gang. I'm up but not awake just yet. Working on m 1st cup of coffee and trying to get my head on straight.

Going to pick up my report at 2 today, have the office fax copies to every body and talk to the assistant.

Like Roger I will finish cleaning this stable and "toddle" off to the Giant and Wegmans. Guess I'll make some baked chicken and SF jello to pack in the cooler to take with us on the little trip. Mom is making her famous egg salad.

OY, I'm not looking forward to 11 hrs in the car though. Oh well, at least the beltway sniper has been caught. LOL when they were active, my mom and I made that trip with our hearts in our mouths.

We gassed up the car on I- 81 in Warrington, Va. and made a run for Richmond. No stopping for anything.

Roger, so ya got new poker chips and cards? Cool! Where did you finally get the chips and were they really expensive?

Barb, so what are you shopping for? Enjoy that mini vacation and keep in touch if you have time.

So it's MOITLE BEACH for Pesuch, OY VEY (You can see I've been around Bob's relatives too long...I jest, his family is among the the most sophisticated on the the planet.)

Oh dear lord though, 11 hours in a car...I would start chewing my fingers off! I used to go NUTS driving to Provincetown (usually about 8 or more hours with summer traffic.)

Barb, Linda and all vacationers, have a wonderful time! One of the reasons I moved so close to NYC is that I have a variety of vacation just a few minutes away...enough for SEVERAL lifetimes...NYC even has lovely beaches!

I got a Roasted Roaster at BJ's and some lovely first asparagus at SR ($.99)...a nice dinner for the two of us before the poker people arrive.

Hey I'm all set to post pictures and cannot get into photo bucket. Says the page has expired.

Zip I'm sure I am not doing it right with my tom seeds. First time for me. I did have them in the house a few days but then the weather got so nice that I put them out. They are still in their individual peat pots and I covered them at night. I know too that it is late but once the warm weather gets them going they will do fine unless I kill them before they get big enough. They have had a nice growth spurt this past week.
Hope those new poker chips bring you good luck. Win a bunch!!!

Barb has some nice days off and enjoy the break. Lap top? What kind is it? I might need one of those, but then again I never seem to go anywhere. Oh, I forgot, I am on vacation all the time now that I am retired.

Linda do you think it will be necessary to do "something."? I just wonder what the experts will advise. Guess a lot of that depends on whether or not they are conservative or aggressive. Not sure which way I would go if given a choice.
Enjoy your trip with your DB. Is he the one that had the surgery recently.

Julie I hear you on the tomatoes but I have a DH who thinks he knows how it should be done also. I figure if I follow his advice and they mess up I can pass the guilt.
I did bless them with some holy water.

Hey all,

Off and running today, and have a busy weekend planned. Gonna get cold on us, but I think this will be the last cold snap for the spring (hopehopehope). DH will bring in my porch plants sometime today so we don't risk them getting too chilled.

Bummer they put the shutters back up using steel screws and not white. I have since painted all of the screw tops.

It seems that there is approx.10% area of slight ischema in the left ventricle. Nothing to really worry about unless I have symptoms.

If I didn't have this abdominal aneurysm, they would do an angoigram to be sure. Cardiologist is more concerned with my AAA but I'm not going to worry about it. Got my reports and will take them to the vascular surgeon when I go in June.

Arteries are too small to do the angio through the wrist so that's where it stands right now.

Oh Loretta your home and surroundings are lovely!! Thanks for sharing. That yellow looks so much better than the blue.

Ginny, hope you get a chance to relax some this weekend. Slow down will ya?

Evening folks !!

Pictures look neat Loretta!! You really live in such a nice area - actually we all live in nice areas for vacations !! Maybe we should just exchange living quarters for a week and we can all have a vacation.

Loretta, I have Dell Inspiron 4000 and love it. I take it all over the place.... from one room to another

I was shopping today for some summer clothes that are causal and still can be worn to work. Being short, I need to find Petite and short jacket type of stuff. Summer - heck it's tank top and shorts!!

I also went to the shooting range for some practice and met two guys who work for FBI. It was interesting because they have a very strict program to follow. They also have to log "many " hours of practice, etc. One of the guys had a trained dog with him in the truck -- of course I want to go and pet, but.......... they need to become used to the noise of guns (why didn't I think of that?). All in all, an interesting day. Not too hot, not too cold! Now I'll try the beds and see which size fits me!
