Tis Tuesday, April 19 for the MVM's

Morning everyone.

Thought I would get this up and head off to bed. Tuesday is MINE to do what ever the heck I want. Guess I best get the basement in order for my brother's visit next week. Dust, vacuum, mop, clean the oven and stove, wash the windows etc. Oh hell, not fun at all.

Julie, thanks for asking about my test. No results until sometime today. AND the reason I am getting all of this crap done is because of my AAA. What a PITA Hell, I'm at a point where I don't give a rat's azz. Something is going to kill us cause none of us gets out of here alive.

More later.

Hi Linda and everyone,

Well, they are predicting 85° today. I have kept the windows closed so far this year because it's been too COLD, today I must keep them closed because it will get TOO HOT
Linda, I think you get to share the warm weather with the Big Apple, so get away from the mop for some time off and out. It's GOOD that you are having all those ancillary tests. The nuclear stress test is a GREAT non-invasive test (well, if the treadmill doesn't kill you anyway.) It will be nice to be told that you are free of congestive ischemia.

Oh, the wine was a failure yesterday (I had 5 glasses)...well TODAY will be a success. The uspide is that ANY amount that I drink will at least contribute to my knowledge of alcohol's effect on my Lp(a)...who knows, maybe NO effect and then at least I'll know and go on my long-term WAGONS, drinking only for vacations and holidays, like I've been doing for 18 years. So it's a win-win and I don't have to make myself nuts with perfection. I'll schedule my next Lp(a) for mid-May. If it DOES respond to alcohol , that's when I'll have the HARD job of behavioral modification ahead of me (paging Dr. Pavlov. )

I'm gonna try a very short run outdoors today (hear THAT Barbara.) If it's too hard, I'll come back and take the bike out.

We have a miniature weeping cherry tree down under our window which is really GORGEOUS: 6 feet high with a ZILLION flowers...I'll try to get a good picture of it.

Have a nice day all.

That 5K WALK sounds like SUCH a good mid ground, Barb. What is a good time for the 3.3 miles, about 45 minutes?

I think medicine ALL the time and I must admit my very FIRST thought was that Linda was sufferering from American Automobile Association...a HORRIBLE disease.
Hey Linda, always remember that aneurism of yours is tiny and barely qualifies for the name...my uncle's was about 3 inches before it burst.

I commented on somebody today who suffered from AOSD...she mentioned arthritis so I was able to cobble together Adult Onset Stilts Disease, rheumatoid arthritis, go figger...acronyms are fine if EVERYBODY is on the same page but otherwise they are a FPITA!

God in heaven,
I ran 3/4 a mile...I feel like Roger Bannister (BEFORE he died!) I am SO proud.

Morning,

I'm with you Barbara! hehehe on the name....I haven't a clue on the AAA either. How did work go yesterday?

Linda, anxiously awaiting your test results. Cleaning again? I only do it when I have company coming. Yesterday we met our new neighbors over the fence and before long Chuck asked them over to see how we've changed our house on the inside. Jeez, I was embarassed!! So I guess I should keep my house more presentable in the future. My thing is I always have everything picked up and not anything out of place BUT the dust can get pretty high! At least I didn't have any dishes in the sink like she did. Oh yeah, we went over to see what they had done too.

How long is your brother staying? Is this the one from Montana?

Zip, I love your avatar!! Is Phonecia still blooming? When I use to drink, I never go sick! Soon as I quit, I was sick for almost a month. So my conclusion is alcohol pickles us..

Sunny, sunny, sunny here. Sure hate to spend the morning in the bowling ally but think it'll be nice all week.

Hi to the rest of you Maintainers...

Hi Y'all

This sun is wonderful; won't be as warm (hot) as y'all's 80's...but I'm thrilled with it.

Julie, enjoy your time bowling, the sun will wait for you today OK< did ya feel like a kid at Christmas, when ya got Ginny's package? I've given a lot of my Ginny-goodies away, everyone loves 'em. So far, the LemonGrass is the unamious fave of my bunch. LOL, I swear...we have "fast" dust, it reappears within an hour of dusting!

Congrats to you Catholics on having a new Pope. I hope he is a good man.
I personally felt badly that he's of such advanced years....

Montana, that your results are good.
I suspect that cleaning is Therapy for you
Mine is working in the yard...
LOL, the joke with my weird family is that no matter how hard we fight off diseases, etc...there's always a big truck waiting to run over us. So remember to always wear clean panties.

Ginny, dear Ginny...hope your mouth overhaul isn't too awful ! I'm sure that if ya have to mumble, your hand gestures will still get your opinions across loud and clear. hugs.

Hey, Zip...good work on that run! Put your skills into inventing a wine timed-dispursment machine...or leave the bottle with a Soup-Nazi neighbor.

Barb, I'm wondering...what do ya think about while running? Like totally concentrating on your body's movements, or kick your brain out of gear, and go into a metatative trance, or what?
I younger years, I used to pleasure-bike a lot; loved reaching that "runner's high" of wanting to go on forever.

Hey Loretta...how's the flower planting going? Had another light frost here, we may keep having them up into May. Got 2 more hanging baskets planted, LOL...huge baskets with tiny plants look so awkward for about 6 weeks...but HOPE and FAITH makes me do it annually

Hey to our MIAs.

Time to make hay

Shawnee

Another good link for you on peanuts. Seems they may do the same thing as wine.

Julie,
Thanks but that's a MUST REGISTER site... so you'll have to paraphrase. WHy not do a COPY and PASTE into my yahoo address?

Oh Shawnee, that "what to do with your brain" torment during aerobic exercise is the WORST. At least on a treadmill you can READ but on the streets you can meet THAT TRUCK with your name on it VERY easily if you try distractions (like carrying a television set!)

Unfortunately my mind rivets on counting steps and that's worse than a Chinese Water Torture!

Hey to all

Been busy today cleaning up. As the siding when on the workshop most of the stuff fell of the shelves etc. Cleaning up today and taking stuff to the dump. The gutter men did not show up to put on the new gutters. But we are beginning to see the end of the tunnel. DS #1 went home today and made it fine with his newly repaired truck. We met for breakfast before he left for home. End of that tunnel also. Now I can get my new Honda cleaned up and move in and get my gear arranged.

Shawnee the new pope is indeed old, 78 I think. That is so if he is not a good pope it won't last that long. I think Pope Benedict the XVI will do just fine. He is of German origins as I am too. That is a plus for him. Planted the snap dragons in planters and I see that my impatiens are starting to come up. I have 3 tomato plants coming up from some seeds I saved. Hope they keep growing or I will resort to buying some plants.

Zip I will enjoy the mandatory Friday meals of kraut and brats.

Linda hope you get some good news on your scan. Did you request a copy of the results, as usual? I agree : Something is going to kill us cause none of us gets out of here alive. Just like me having a plan to keep that Honda to the enth when there ended up a totally different plan altogether.

Ginny we sure are having gorgeous weather here. Tomorrow I plan on washing both of our vechicles. I could start a garden in all of the tree pollen on them. When will that quit? Hope the dentist was not that difficult for you. My DS had to go in for some deep cleaning. 2 visits. She had not been to a dentist for several years.

Barb enjoy that 5 K walk. I usually get a 2.5 mile walk in daily. Part of that is jogged but not a whole lot. Will you have hills to contend with? That might slow you down.

Julie how did the bowling go? Isn't it about time for the banquet? I remember going to a lot of them. My x bowled in several leagues.

Hi to the rest of the gang, Susun, Jackie etc.
Gotta go and do the dishes.

Loretta

Back for a quick check. Been cleaning and lolly gagging most of the day. No news yet from my doctor. He did say a day or two. He is going to send me a copy once the report is typed up. Since it was done in his office, it may take a bit longer to get it than it would have if I had had it done at the hospital.

Roger, hope you can stick to the two glasses of wine per day and hopefully it will take care of your Lp(a)
LMAO so you did make it 3/4 mile? Wow, I'm impressed.

Barb, Way to go on the 5K walk. That I can do but running would kill me.

Roger explained AAA, PITA is Pain in the Azs...Ischemia is blocked arteries.

Julie, LOL get a swiffer duster thing and run it real quick around the house when someone rings the door bell or drag the vacuum out on the way to answer the door. Let them think you were in the middle of cleaning.

Brother will be here for 10 days. Yeah, it's the one from Montana. He hasn't been back home for at least 10 years.

Interesting links, thanks.

Shawnee, nope cleaning is not therapy unfortunately cause I hate it. Just hate dirt much more.LOL

Grandma always said to wear clean undies in case of an accident. Wise words, eh?

Hope you get enough rain to prevent those nasty fires. You aren't going to believe this but most of NYS and Pa. are under a wildfire watch. Mostly grass and brush but still. Been dry and warm here.

Loretta, they pounded that siding so hard that it knocked stuff off the shelves??? YIKES!

Glad your DS finally has his truck fixed.
Don't forget we are all awaiting pictures of the house.

Waving at the rest of our gang.

Loretta, you are washing vehicles tomorrow? Glad you mentioned that because mine really needs it. That bird crap is all over that car and just from parking under those f**king trees!

Linda, have a good visit! I always wondered why one wouldn't be wearing clean undies?

I'm part German also -- Ithink I should get at least some indulgence for all the mean things I have said about........

Hey, 78 isn't that old ! We are almost there!! I don't know about the kraut but BRATS are right there with the Green Bay Packers -- close to God!

With that thought I will leave to have my two glasses of wine!

Back again...

...I'm the one with a sore everything from mowing, edging, and weeding...OK, I'm weird: a freshly mown lawn makes me happier than free martinis

LOL, Barb...maybe that "clean undies" saying comes from waaaaay back, when farm folks didn't have washers, and wore the same clothes for several days.
If ya only had 5 pair, and the laundry was only done once a week...Ooops!

Loretta, guess several of us have a dab o' German...the Nationality doesn't concern me, since we know there's good and bad ones in every race. Just read up on his very conservative views...and I'm glad that I'm just a Heathen Injun, spiritually ...
You cracked me up: Tomorrow I plan on washing both of our vechicles. I could start a garden in all of the tree pollen on them
LOL, it took Bob three attempts to get his truck washed...it was immediately recoated with yellow pollen.
I've found several teeny, tiny volunteer Toms coming up...

Zip I will enjoy the mandatory Friday meals of kraut and brats.

Me, too!

gotta run

Linda, been having trouble all day with trying to post new threads. Note on the GY from Tom. They're working on it.
