MVM Thursday
Good morning everyone,
OK, we were FOUR yesterday, that's acceptable an ALMOST a quorum ![]() !Shawnee, two state's income taxes is because Bob is working in NY (and they withhold) and then NY charges the same rate as id you lived there....then NJ must be firgured and a Credit To Other Deductions taken against the NJ taxes which leave them with only pennies...basically the tax on interest. I need only do NJ for myself so yesterday I mistyped when I said 4 State forms...it's ONLY 3! AND I;m SO glad they are done, signed, paid and on their way in the belly of the postal system. BTW, if ANYONE on the planet doesn't recognize my avatar I give a hint: it's the most famous bauble on planet Earth. Off to the orchid show about 9 AM...it should be quietest then and the weather will warm some- mid 60's for us. I'll do some junk stores and I'm out of big tortillas (12 inch)...I know a joint that sells them 20 ounce pack for a buck! Too bad Bob must work...I't strange doing anything in town without him. I hope I find a nice orchid bargain, but if not, ca va. Have a nice day !

Morning gang!
The Hope Diamond? Never did get to see it. Shawnee, you need to keep in practice on those "high traffic" roads. We don't even have a stop light here in town. When we hit the big city, my DH starts cussing and swearing at ALL of the drivers! We keep our skills tuned up by hitting Denver at least 3-4 x a year. I swear, those are the WORSE drivers. Hope you find a neat bargain Zip!! Everyone have a fun day!! Barb |

She is pretty Zip. Nice bauble. Congrats on your numbers. Are you happy with them? That HDL is still a tad low. What did the doc have to say? Enjoy that show, hopw you have the camera with you.
Those are my dogwood blooms from the back yard. The RedBud blossoms are strewn all over the ground now and we are on to the next big bloomers. I sure love spring. Glad you had a nice day shopping with Kaci, Shawnee. When I go up north near Chicago, I let my kids do the driving. Too much traffic going too fast, for me. Barb we travel on roads like yours most of the time, but now the crappie are biting and the people have returned. Lots more traffic on the roads. The quilt show is next and the Dogwood Trail viewing was this week. It will slack off some in May until the summer vacationers show up. I do not enjoy fishing all that much and did bring my crochet to work on. I just think Dh wants company on the boat. It was not a very nice day thought, wet, soggy clothes, no real place to pee. I did bring my food though. Have to run to the big city today for Dh pacemaker check and other items, more paint for one. Hope I can catch up with the rest of you later today.

Hi again,
The show was lovely. I saved the under the tent displays for when Bob can go with me, but the Sales area were spectacular and HUGE and of course the sellers selected the most gorgeous examples (of which my avatar is one) to show surrounded by their little pricey seedlings and clones: a teeny leaflet ($15) to something with a flower ($50 and WAY UP.) I came home with S&B Golden Curry instead ![]() (hooray, I finally found a convenient place that sells the curry blocks that I like.) Rockefeller Center is a gorgeous setting with all it's 1930's Deco splendor (and Rockefeller's money) but the Winter Garden at the WTC was a still nicer setting for the orchids. We are going in Sunday for a matinee but the orchid show closes Saturday night...THAT would be a time for a bargain because all sellers realize that keeping inventory costs money...maybe we'll go Saturday after dinner...hmmm. Loretta, What is the big city, Louisville? That's the size of Jersey City. I haven't seen the doctor since the blood draw...but I am pleased with the results, especially since my last HDL was 37...THAT I didn't like. Except I got a curve ball with an Lp(a) (lipoprotein) that is fat too high, and tends to be genetic and dangerous. Last edited by zip2play : 04-14-2005 at 01:16 PM. |

Zip that "big city" is Paducah. I do believe it is much smaller than Louisville.
Not real sure of the population. Pacemaker checked out fine. No episodes of rapid heart rate recorded since last Nov. What test showed that the LP fat is too high???? Not that same as LDL, right? |

Honey's I'm home! Loretta and Zip, have a nice day?
I don't know much medical infor. but those numbers look good to me. I'd trade for 149. Mine is always higher than I want but the bad chol.is good my good chol..is very good. We had a VERY presentation today from Dr. Shinn on "Response to Intervention". It relates to monitoring student's progress but so much can also connection also to weight loss and other interventions to change! I always like meetings with ice water on the table and a really nice buffet of salad, meats, chicken, cheeses, etc. I DIDN'T even have a cookie!! Have to run and watch the last CSI show tonight. Later, Barb

Hi Barb, Loretta, and Zip
![]() Make it FOUR again today Good to see y'all are keeping the Fort held down here, awaiting the return of the stragglers. Barb, how cool, NO stoplights! LOL, I could go for that, seems I spend half my life at red lights. Our town is a "sister city" and the combined population is about 50,000. When we go to a real CITY, its either Seattle or Portland. LOL on rude drivers; no matter how many lanes they have to choose from, the all seem to want mine, and are willing to cut me off to get it. I said a lot of bad words, but NO hand gestures...didn't wanna get shot at. Zip, I prefer your new avatar (gorgeous)... and much more inviting, friendly than the Hope. Good for you, getting those Taxes done in time to enjoy the OrKid show. Bet it was breathtaking. Loretta, that was good news for your DH. Shoot, I don't remember my last Test numbers, but was pleased as hell with them, especially the ratio. I planted a hanging basket today..between rains...with White Lobelia, Dusty Miller, and Fuchias...have enough plants for about 10 more. Felt good to do something productive, if only on a small scale. The potted tulips are still blooming away, but the hail yesterday was a bit mean to them. Ginny, I gave both GDaughters a bottle of the Gel. POSITIVE reactions! The unanimous vote is for LemonGrass...but I hogged that for myself. ![]() May not be available tomorrow, the ongoing family thing.... ![]() Shawnee

Hey everyone,
Reckon I'll make it 5 for today! Been a busy couple of days here, had to hit the ground running this morning--a soap order in my email to bring to work and had to make all but 1 bar of soap up! Got it all done (6 bars, 3 lotions) and still was able to do all the other normal day things that must be done except check in here! Our weather has turned pretty once again, feels good to be jacketless for the majority of my shift! Zip, glad you enjoyed the first part of the orchid show! Sounds like they're a bit $pendy on seedlings, but we see many that are like that as well. If you can go during the last bit of the show, you may find a bargain or 2. I did our taxes (federal only, no state here!) back in February. Barb, whenever they do dinners or whatever for the plant, most of the food is not what I normally eat....but I can usually find something pretty legal! Glad you enjoyed your lectures, better than the snooze variety. Loretta, wouldn't much care for the soggy clothes etc, but being on the boat has got to be relaxing. Glad your DH's pacemaker is doing it's job so well. Our little town has a few stoplights, but traffic isn't too bad. Now, Murfreesboro and Nashville can get a bit hairy. Shawnee, Waving to our MIA's.....check in when you can!
