MVM's it's Sunday the 10th of April.

Heck, guess most others are busy or have jumped ship.
Lost 1 of those pesky non smoking lbs and will continue to work on the others.

Sunday is more laundry and cleaning. Gotta get ready to hit the road.

Here is a funny for you compliments of another maintainer, Ciel, who doesn't post much here.

A widow was worried whether or not her dead husband made
it to heaven, so she prays earnstly for God to allow him to
speak to her. God grants her wish.

"Hello Margaret, this is Fred."

"Fred!" she exclaimed. "I just have to know if you're
happy there in the afterlife. What's it like there?"

"Ooooooh, it's much more beautiful here than I ever
imagined," Fred answered. "The sky is bluer, the air is
cleaner, if a bit cool for comfort, but the pastures are
much more lush and green than I ever expected.
I lack for nothing; the only thing we do, all day long,
are eat and sleep, eat and sleep, over and over."

"Thank God, you made it to heaven," his wife cried.

"Heaven?" he answered. "I'm a buffalo in Montana."

Mornin' all,

Making myself rise and shine...well, don't know about shine...earlier this week now that I'm pseudo-acclimated to the time change. I'm tired of feeling I'm running behind.

Linda, thanks for the wake up funny

Gorgeous day here, sun's shining, house is aired out since we slept with the windows open FINALLY!!!

Hope all have a great day,

HI Linda and Ginny

Thanks for the joke Linda. Good one.

Ginny we have beautiful weather here, 80s and sunshine. The time change has not bothered me all that much but I guess it's because of being retired.

Plan on having a relaxing day here today, no company, no anticipated events, except for siding on house that will continue next week. Getting to the end of our list here.
Need to wash that Honda in the am tomorrow. I see some dirt.

Have a great Sunday all and be content.

Might even go fishing with Dh for a while today.

Morning to all of the rested ones'

I'll just pull up my Honda next to yours Loretta, and you can see a LOT of dirt!! Do you do insides as well?

WOW, warm weather someplace! Snowing here with blizzard warnings for the central part of CO. It will be nice to enjoy a quiet day at home.

Linda, I'll think about that trip you want to Grand Canyon. Do you drive straight there or wander around first? You probably don't need to lose any of that weight, won't you a little under weight there for awhile? thanks for the joke - makes me think you are getting wander-lust!

Ginny, sleeping with windows open? I'm sure our time will come, just not today. I always get extra sleep with the time change so I'm not looking worn out, as usual.

Zip, Jacki, SuSUN, Julie, Shawnee, and anyhone else needing good "thoughts" today!! Have a good one! Barb

Just want to try this out to see if it works:

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/sh...d.php?t=333654

IF you have any free time on your hands, check out this post on the main board. I totally agree with all of it (except at the end about justifying cheating).

It's Cheating and Vacations by beeb
  1. it's a life style
  2. celebrate something else rather than food

I do need to find a life.......I was so bored I had to go and read the main board.

What is a "main board?"

Good morning Linda, Ginny, Loretta, Barb and latecomers.
I just got back from a walk to the A&P and enjoyed the cloudless mid 60's day...PERFECT weather. I finally found a three way lamp in the dumpster and pilfered the socket and repaired an ancient lamp...I wasn't going to drag to Home Depot and throw $4 away on one and was DETERMiNED to find one. Of course two months went by with NOBODY discarding a lamp...isn't that always the way? Some things i just take a personal challenge and probably wouldn't have bought another even for a QUARTER.

Linda,
YESSS on the pound loss. The important thing is to keep a close eye so you can stop all further GAIN; worry about the last 4 pounds after your body has reached stasis in about 3 months. When I quit I gained 15 pounds in 2 months on the same food.
I wanna come back as Ted Turner or Jan Fonda and OWN most of Montana.

Ginny,
Will your greenhouse fans and vents open automatically if the temp goes too high?

I think Phonecia is getting her Summer inflorescence...less than a half inch but located like a flower stem rather than an aerial root. THIS time she won't smell gas so I'm hoping for quite a show!

Speaking of Orchid Shows, TUESDAY thru SUNDAY, the Greater New York Orchid Show at Rockefeller Center and it's FREE this year...woo hoo!
Last Year's Catteleya winner (We should be able to train KIDS this well):

Bob isn't up to par today, and I'm getting a head code so it's TV this afternoon with maybe just a walk along the waterfront.

Ginny, You are going to HAVE to give me a couple pointers on "directionizing the blooms for a phalaenopsis inflorescence...I sometimes get them going every which way and the florists all have them looking in the same direction.

Me again,

Just checking before I start making my lotion orders up!

Zip, I think the main thing with positioning phal blooms is to not move/rotate her when she starts budding. From what I've heard, that is the main culprit. If you stake her spike, start staking early on, before the buds are really starting to form. Also, IMO it's best to use wire than a bamboo stake, as wire is flexible and you can achieve a natural arch with just enough support to prevent a heavy spike from collapsing and kinking. Remember, the phals that the florists get come from mass producing growers who rarely move pots until they are budded sufficiently to ship out......the assembly line of orchids! Pretty catt, btw.

Loretta, can I bring my 3 rides for detailing after you're done with Barb's?

Barb, a BLIZZARD!!! Stay safe!

Off to make the donuts......

Hey again gang. Beautiful afternoon here so I went for a good, long ride in the country over toward Ithaca and Cayuga lake. Went past a buffalo ranch and llama farm. Those Critters are so cute!

Barb, I clicked on that link and it said I don't have permission. Guess I'll have to hunt for it.
Some of those people have it right and others just refuse to accept the fact that low carb is for life and try to go off and on with planed cheats and such.

Sheesh a blizzard??? YIKES but you do live in the mountains. Personally I like to meander all over but Gerard is NOT a good passenger. We shall see. Hum I could put him on a plane and drive myself out.

Loretta, enjoy that new Honda and wash away the dirt. How about a picture of her? Nice that your company is finally gone, eh?

Ginny, it takes a good month for our circadian rhythms to adjust to a time change.

Roger, great picture!!! Ain't she purdy? AND the show is FREE??? Can't beat that price.

I'm not a bit worried about the weight. It will come off when it's ready and when I drop the carbs low enough.

Waving to all.

Yup! CO gets at least one blizzard every Spring. Mountains are fine, it's Denver that can't handle it.

I can't find that post to save my life!! Maybe I was sleepwalking?
I sent a message and will see if anyone else remembers it.

Beautiful pictures (both of them ) Zip. You aren't getting ANOTHER cold are you? I'm still waiting for my shipment of chocolate.

Well, til the morrow.... some of us have to get up for work!!

Barb

I'm reading "Plain Truth" by Jodi Picoult Linda, it's an Amish story!!
