Tis Friday for the MVM's April 8th

Not much going on here except some prep in anticipation of our trip to the Amish country and my brothers visit in a couple of weeks.

I'll be babysitting Nick tonight for a few hrs. His parents and the girls are going to a hockey game with my other son and his family. Hope to remember to take my camera.

Still holding on to the extra lbs but it's not all that bad. I was a tad bit underweight. Just cant' let this get out of control.
Still NOT smoking so be very, very thankful that you don't live with me.

OK so where are the rest of our gang? Roger, Julie, Barb.... come on and check in will ya?

More later.

Hi Linda,
Oh that weather yesterday was a delight...sunny and 75° during the afternoon. Rain overnight has just stopped and it's almost 60$#176; now so it will be another mild day. I MIGHT pump some air in the tires and , like the prostitute with a new bike, peddle it all around town.. Actually, I need some tofu that's available at 3 blocks for $1 in another part of town.

Doctor went fine, for a change. All he said was, I guess you still have WHITE COAT. I said yes but didn't even ASK what number he pulled out of his sphig...I just don't give a flying flock anymore. Got blood tested for EVERYTHING (results in a couple days) and got the old finger up the keyster (always the best part) and a bunch of med refills...I even talked him out of a sample bottle of Cialis . I got referrals to my cardiologist and to an orthopœdic surgeon (don't you LOVE that lettter?) for my trigger finger...as expected, GP was afraid to inject the joint.

Barb,
How is your 5K training going?

Loretta,
Goodness me, MORE money from another insurance company. Keep that up and you'll have the cost of the new car covered.

To all a good day.

I'm here..... barely.

Had to let an employee go yesterday and I'm concerned about his mental health right now.

Also have to take the cat to the vet for surgery and we have a high wind warning for gusts up to 35 mph. Power was out for awhile but on now.

check in later.

HI Linda, Zip and Barb

Nice weather here now. Started out sort of crappy.

One more day left and our visitor will head for home. She is off to see her DS today and getting a pup. A 2 yr old "pug". She was excited. What's up with these pups lately.

Yes Zip I'll have that newer Honda about covered at this rate. I was sure surprised about that other insurance co. Their driver was the cause of the accident. Let us know about your blood work results. Are you currently taking any bp medication.

Linda how is your new drug working? The increase in my Lotrel has had wonderful results. Staying around 110/70 most of the time. No side effects that are real bothersome. Will have to start on Fossamax and calcium pills.
How much calcium do you take Linda? I read somewhere that anything over 600mg was wasted.

Barb that "fired" employee will survive most likely. That is a tough spot to be in to have to let someone go. Not an easy part of the job at all.
What sort of surgery is the cat having? Nothing serious I hope.

The siding is really making a big difference in the house appearance. Dh was wanting to carry me over the threshold of our "new" house. He decided he needed a wheel barrow. They will finish up next week some time. I will have more time for picture posting then. Gotta wash that car too.

Shawnee the Red Bud trees are in blossom here now that is my new avitar.
The forsythe bushes are blooming too. What a nice color parade.

Julie, what on earth have you been up to?

OK, I give up - where's the PM button?

It just doesn't pay to have too much education and not know simple things.

Picked up cat (surgery) and she's hiding under the bed. Have all my friends left me? She (SASS) just didn't want to have feelings for Mr. Tom next door anymore. We didn't care to be grandparents anymore.!!

Linda, your trip sounds so relaxing and simple. I'm reading a book now about the Amish. Has the water done down? I'm glad that the smoke has gone down from your area of the valley!!

Zip, my training has taken second place in priority, but........ I did sign up to do a 5K walk on April 24 in Alb. NM. We are taking a week's trip for our anniversary this year and it will be in the Taos, Sante Fe, and Alb. area of New Mexico. Some GOOD mexican food -- I mean REAL mexican food.!!

Better go read my email for a change.......

Till the morrow! Barb
