Thought I would get this started before I poop out for the night. Spent over an hour on the phone with my brother in Montana. He is going fishing for a few days and is getting ready for his trip out here. LMAO He is going to UPS all of his "luggage" out here so he doesn't have to bother carrying anything on the plane. Guess that's a good idea.

Shawnee, Poor Gerard thinks I'm a bit more intense than Sophia. PURE EVIL and a total B*TCH is what he called me I think.

Susan, I sincerely hope that nasty cold gets better soon and you start feeling better.
Just got over one myself.

Ginny, Thurs.? I'll look forward to it and run that tub full of hot water right away.

Roger, take a trip up to Canada via Massena and check things out. Maybe you could visit Susan while you are in the area.

Julie, hope you are thoroughly enjoying the Baseball season. It's a sure sign of spring.

Loretta, how's the DH enjoying the boat? Hope he is catching a lot of fish.

Barb, Hope you can make a trip east soon. Just wait until spring or fall. Fall is much better here in upstate NY. The leaves are absolutely stunning.

Mariners won today and so did our Bremerton boy...U of North Carolina. It was a good day. I'm not really a basketball fan but because our High School star, I had to watch.

Is the water receeding Linda? Did you figure out if all that stomach distress was from the sf candy you were eating instead of smoking?????

SuSun, hehehe on the puny...isn't it funny how different parts of the world have different words. One of the gals I bowl with and my neighbor is from England and we have a ball with her. I'll say something and she'll look at me and we all start laughing. But she also has her sayings too.

Barb, don't feel bad, I've never been to the Northeast either. We drove from Wa. to Savanah one summer for Chucks work and lived there for 3 months. My Gawd, what awful weather. Humidity almost did me in!!! I have been through the Virginia's, Carolina's, Georgia and Florida. Nothing north of there though.

Morning to all......

Good Grief -- it took DH until 3 am to get to Reno. Flew from CO to Salt Lake/no problem. Then it started, winds were 60 mph at Reno so they changed planes and waited for one from Seattle. Then, the pilot was dizzy ?? so they waited for a replacement. Then, the winds had picked up again and they waited that out!! The plane has arrived from Seattle and it had mechanical problems so they had to get another one.

Sorry, I'm so rural I don't have a mailman -- how about a cowboy?

Linda, how long before the water recedes? Is most of that water from the river in the ball park, etc.

Just checking in on a cloudy morning, but the temps are great! Can see lots of grass everywhere now.

Going over to DD's to see how the clean up in going.

Sorry to be missing so much of what is going on here. Wanted to show you the pic of the Honda. Still having fall out from that event.
Feeling a little better today but feel lots of pressure, company, they are here putting the siding on the house. cars all over the yard. Do I sound stressed yet.
Last night I just felt like crying. Then the DstepGS brought his new big puppy. It is a big puppy. DH does not like dogs and does not want him in the house. They said he is an outside dog and brought his cage. But he is whining. They went out to go antiquing. They will go back home tomorrow.
DsDaughter won't leave until ????? Maybe by Sat.

I should not even be posting here. But thanks for letting me vent.

The Pope was a great man and we were blessed to have him as our leader for so long. He was a true example of peace and love. He showed great courage to the final end of his life also. No pity for him required.

Loretta, seeing the car is worse than hearing about it -- glad no one was seriously hurt. I am getting to point that I hate company. Just one old hermit, I guess. I need my personal space. I even like it when DH is gone on a trip - no meals, no picking up, go to bed when I want to, and watch what I want on TV.

The Pope was a Great one and will be named such. I'm amazed at how many get to go view the body. Some youth from this area went to Denver to see the Pope for World Youth Day and will never forget the experience.

SuSUN, am happy that the clean-up is going well. That is a very tiring and stressful situation. Hang in there!

Julie, with it snowing in the mountains here and rain in the valleys, it seems strange that baseball has already started. I'm glad that the Mariners are doing well so far!

Linda, UPS is what we've done before with too much lugguage. With DD traveling esp. at Xmas time, we just send things in the mail. She had to wait for hers the last time and will now remember to put "basics" into a carry on bag. She will be doing her first clinical in Maine and now the second one is in Denver. Alas, she is looking at hospitals in the NW. Other than Seattle, most really good programs are in the East.

Ginny, I must have missed your new business so where along the line (maybe when I was out with those cowboys)! Is it something that helps with stress since Linda is filling the bathtub?

Speaking of stress, we are having March Madness all over again at work. It's that time of the year for contracts (April 19) and rumors fly and the politics are straight out of some convention! One person who lost his job already went to a job fair and has landed a neat job in Hawaii, main island, high school, and more money. Of course, the cost of living is high but he just got divorced and is free to move. Since I'm in Special Education (in more than one way ) the sign-on-bonuses are getting up there in money. $$$$$ If I was 25 again, I'd go to another country and see the world.

Julie, yes the rivers are back in their banks but the destruction is awful! Some of the streets by the river here in Conklin are still closed and under water. Poor People have a huge mess on their hands.

Yeah, it was the sugar alcohols in the sf hard candies. UGH. No more of those.

You MUST come to Upstate NY in the fall, it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Summer heat and humidity is gone and the leaves are spectacular.

Yikes, sorry your DH had such a time with his flights. That isn't fun at all. Once coming back from Europe, our plane sat on the D*mned runway for 5 hrs before we deplaned.

Hey all,

Work went pretty well tonight, just enough to keep me busy but not kill me LOL! This time change has me a bit messed up, in a few days my internal clock will catch up and I'll be back to as normal as I get. Lots of good growing going on in the gh, spiking and blooming is coming along nicely too, so we have been selectively repotting (well, DH has been repotting I've been the selective part) those that need it. We'll get our tails in gear hopefully this week and go to a local greenhouse for DSisIL's dipladenias and whatever else we just can't live without.

Barb, enjoy your time with the house to yourself! Glad your DH finally got there, safe and sound. My little sideline is making fragrant glycerin soaps as well as lotion and shower gel, and I have a pretty fair selection of fragrances to choose from. I don't have your email (pm me if you like), I can send you a flyer and pics of what I'm doing. It started off as a just for us type thing, worked into making sets up for gifts, and I've found out people are willing to buy it!

Shawnee, hehehe....I'll never divulge the 'secret ingredient', just know that it will hit the guys right in the sniffer! Well, maybe you WON'T want to have the running shoes on LOL

Linda, that water is sure taking it's time to recede, OMG on all that damage! Do people in those areas have wells that will need to be tested etc? I'm really glad you're on that hill! Don't worry, the box won't explode or anything, but you may have Gerard's undivided attention for a while

Susan, hope the cleanup and replacement for DD goes quickly and smoothly. Amazing how much of a mess water can make. Glad you're feeling better, be sure to get plenty of rest!
