I'm scheduled for a carotid artery ultrasound and hope the HELL they don't find anything. Sheesh!! This getting old is not fun at all. Nuclear stress test is April 18 OY, OY! Good morning Linda, Shawnee and everyone.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES...and I PROMISE I won't have more than half that cake for breakfast! ![]() Linda, Why the carotid scan? It's not routine...do they suspect something? (Bet your avatar is called THE QUEST <or something close>. Yesterday's dinner for 6 was fun but the ballets (3) were dull...all outre-modern pieces with racketous "music" and OH so much "feeling." I like a little Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty tossed in with more dance PRECISION and less "feeling." We had a gorgeous 60° day yesterday but today will be 10° cooler...I'll settle. Crawling off to the coffee pot! More chat later.

BIRTHDAY DAY!!
TO YOU!! Hope you have a GREAT time today and make some plans to achieve something daring this year! Yesterdy was wild - weather wise - we had it all and some roads are still closed. WINTER IS OVER, EXPECT SNOW! The road is closed for a snow slide, but today there is the famous bikini run in Telluride. The name "Telluride" does mean "wild ride", BUT ,they are refering to the train ride it took for the rich *****es to come west from Denver. Word, Works, Wordpad I always use Word for memos and don't know what wordpad does. Will I live long enough to accomplish this? Would a carotid mass in that artery be responsible for a stroke? A friend of mine has a father who just had a stroke and they took out a mass probably the size of a finger from tip to knuckle. There was just a very small stream of blood passing through. Anyone hear from Pam? Wondering how she was doing. Roads are bad, need to get started....... Barb

Barb,
I hope you're done with Winter soon...ours is well and truly finished--FINALLY! To scope out WORDPAD if you're curious, just open START>ACCESSORIES>WORDPAD...it's just a feeble minded version of WORD! HEADS UP GANG: DO NOT OPEN AN ATTACHMENT IN YOUR MAIL CALLED MICROSOFT PATCH; it's a bomb called the SWEN.A WORM. |

Running again before I get ready to leave.
Avatar's name is "Honoring Her Gift" by a Cherokee Creek/Seminole native artist. Scan of the Carotid is part of the "good going" over that my vascular surgeon wants me to have. Years ago I had a slight whistle in the rt. side ( could cause a stroke and one of the reasons I went on Atkins) We are hoping the huge improvement in my lipids and elimination of trans fats have kept it stable. Bikini run in the snow Off for more coffee. Later |

[color=DarkSlateBlue][b]A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A VERY SPECIAL GUY TODAY!
Roger, If you do eat half that cake for breakie, don't even go there to count the calories! Wishing you and Bob a wonderful day!It is a lovely sunny day up here, blue skies with a few clouds, but loving it! I have an appointment at the hair dressers today for my 6 week colour cut etc...so I'll be out for a couple of hours. Sassy has been outdoors since 6:30a.m. this morning. She loves sitting in the sunshine on the deck. Oliver prefers his bed. Something to consider Linda if considering a pet. DH has an MRI today at 7:30p.m. Should soon know what's going on in there! He is having a brain and spinal scan. I do hope the outcome is positive, something we can work with. Linda, Hope your u/s scan goes well today! LOVE your new avatar. It is so interesting, I wonder what her gift is? I hope it is her son or is she expecting another, what is the significance of the crowe I wonder? Shawnee can you come to the resue here! Gotta run now, hope to be back later, Waving to the rest of our Gang! SuSUN ![]() |

You sure are getting the works this year. I was really intrigued by your new avitar. Hope Shawnee can shed some light on the gift.Barb sorry that your winter continues there in CO. It won't last much longer. Have you entered in the Bikini Run. Send us your run photo. Brave girl. Susun glad things are moving along for DH. It will probably take a while to get those results from the MRI. Is he still seeing the chriopracter? How is DH doing other wise? Need to get out and take some "before" pics of the house. They will start on Monday with the vinly siding. Later folks, Loretta |

Hey everyone!
to you, Roger! Hope your day is fun filled!Susan, glad they're finally getting to the MRI for your DH, sure hoping for a positive outcome and that he gets some answers! The pups sure are funny in their differences....our Bull loves to lay under the tree in the back yard no matter WHAT the weather is (unless it's hail of course, she does have SOME sense!). Linda, even having a full house, I can't go to the humane society/shelter. I see too many babies that tear at my heart. For allergies, have you checked into the dogs that don't shed (much if at all)? I know it's hard to just up and go when you have critters. Between them and the gh makes it quite interesting! Whenever you're ready, e-mail or call, whichever you prefer! Loretta, wouldn't you think they'd have had the truck RIGHT before they called to say it was done??? Grrrr that is so aggravating! I like the picnic style idea for feeding the masses, less work for the host! Shawnee, I bet that was cute to see the Chuckster wallering his catmint! Do you ever give him catnip? DMIL would give that to her cats occasionally, and they LOVED it. Julie, the 131 sounds like me bowling LOL! I agree, summertime is for being able to pick up and go if you want, not having too many things set in stone. Have you got your first camping trip lined out yet? Barb, on the sneaux! How long before the roads will be clear? I sure enough don't miss that stuff. Stay safe!Y'all, I got an email from Pam, she's doing the rounds of dr. stuff, but seems to be stable. Ankle is really hurting her. Hope she pops in here and says hey! Well, off to help DH take a couple pics...........

Running late again, seems I get up later and later but who gives a rip!
Anybody know of a good canned tuna? The cheap crap you buy now is just mush!! Can't even make a decent salad with it. Roger!! Hoping for many, many more!Linda, I love your avatar too. Very fasinating. I assume that is an eagle in the background. Good luck today on that scan. We'll be thinking of you. I'm really allergic to cats and I wouldn't think you with your asthma, it would be a good idea. I know some breeds of cats aren't as bad. We are lucky and Bo doesn't shed at all but his hair does grow so needs to be cut regularly. Ginny, thanks for the news about Pam. Hope she heals quickly. My bowling average is only 151 but I'm happy with that. I bowl for fun and the social part of it, not serious one bit. Soaps look great! Loretta, Had this scary dream last night. You and some gal from Texas called Betty showed up at my doorstep and my house was a mess!!! I immediately started dusting and cleaning. It was you're birthday! You just told me to let you go in the kitchen and you'd be happy just baking up a storm. I know I was thining of my house needing cleaning but Guess all your company brought on the baking bit. SuSun, good luck to DH on that MRI. I would think if something is wrong, they will let you know real soon. So no news is good news. Barb, I think you got our little storm we had a few days ago. Only it built up steam coming across the Rockies. Ok, off to the mall to meet my friend and have lunch somewhere. Probably Applebee's as she is on WW and they have WW points on some of their menu items. I'm sure getting sick of going there. Seems most of my friends are on WW. I'm back down to 120.5 so am doing better. Keeping calories down.

HI Y'all
Having a temp break in the rains. But they'll be ba-a-a-aaack, and I'm trying to be thankful for that. Zip, hope your Special Day is going fabulously ![]() Julie, I know what ya mean re the Tuna...looks like canned cat food. Hope your lunch was fun. We recently got an Applebee's...excitement turned to disappointment after a few visits. LOL, interesting dream...Amazing, isn't it, re combined thoughts co-mingling in a dream. Montana, hoping to hear Good News from ya soon. Barb, your Spring sounds like it has changed its mind, brought Winter back for a re-run. Be careful! Loretta, bet you are excited about getting on with your house re-do. Ginny, I went to the Shelter when Kaci was looking for a Peke....I left with tears in my eyes. Catnip/catmint is the same thing....I looked at the Chuckster's plant this AM...its kinda ratty and broken down now...Thankfully, catmint grows like a weed. Hey SuSUN, good thoughts and for your DH...the UNknown is so hard to take; hope ya get Answers. The Native avatar.... LOL, I eyeballed it closely, and from the symbolic features (hand extended openly toward the maize, Eagle nearby...) It seemed the woman was probably making a Tobacco offering (called "laying tobacco"), giving Thanks to Creator for the maize/corn...The Eagle took her words of Thanks from her lips to Creator's ears. So I decided to investigate....the info I found doesn't explain (interpret) the picture itself, but does explain the signifigance of the picture as a Gift. http://www.ndnartgallery.com/item5.htm Blessings and healing to Pam.later Shawnee |

Back again for a few minutes.
Ultra sound went well and only took about 1/2 hr. This new cardiologist ordered it even though my primary and vascular surgeon didn't think it was anything to worry about just now. We shall see. I should get the results in 3 or 4 days if the hospital doesn't F*uck up and forget to mail it to me. Doctor put cc to me on the order form and I had to sign several papers explaining WHY I wanted the results Had to bite my tongue about that one. I did put down, " it's my body, I'm paying for it and it's the LAW. Sheesh!Susan, Please let us know how your DH makes out with the MRI. We all wish him well. What did the doctor say about the symptoms being related to his statin med? Julie, I can't stand Tuna but occasionally choke down some Empress, white albacore. It doesn't look like cat food...Much Loretta, we want pictures of that new Honda AND the house. Are you going to share some? Ginny, thanks for keeping us updated on Pam. Hopefully she will pop in and say hi. I do see her post on the playground occasionally. Yeah, I just have to stay away from the shelter. No more pets for me. I may call you on the weekend if it's OK. Shawnee, thanks for explaining the "GIFT" . That's a great site isn't it? Here is a very interesting and good site for animal lovers and anyone who just likes some nice music and pictures. http://www.wtv-zone.com/cal731/index.html |

Julie I am happy in the kitchen. So part of that dream was just fine. But my kitchen does get quite messy.
Thanks Shawnee for that site on Linda's gift maiden. I was delighted to see the picture enlarged. It is just beautiful. Linda I wonder why you had to tell them WHY you wanted your own test results???? No more pets here either. I don't want to have to worry about them if I am tied up worrying about more important things that make me be a away from the house for any lenght of time. Not sure when I will get around to picture taking. Maybe by Sunday. The next few days are busy ones. DH is seeing the retinal doc about his MD tomorrow, I have to talk to the claims adjuster at the insurance co, grocery shop and church is having a candy booth at the annual TATER DAY festivities over the weekend. Ginny I guess the auto mechanic did not know about the cracked head until they had the thing apart and milled. Something like that????? Does that make sense? Of it was not for that, it would have been completed on time. |

MRI went fine, DH is upbeat and hoping for some answers but a positive outcome, something we can work with.
Linda, the Neuro guy didn't think it was the Statins...but he did tell him to discontinue the use of them! YEAH! The tech said we should have a result in 3-4 days. I guess cuz the weekend is coming up, then typing up the report etc... Glad to hear yours went well Linda and that it is just an extra check. How's the tummy now? Shawnee, Thank you so much for your expertise and assistance deciphering the lovely avatar. I thought the bird was a crow with it being so dark. I never thought of an eagle, how wonderful. Thanks for your prayers for DH. Julie, Did you buy the chunk tuna? It is more expensive but alot more solid for salads. The other stuff is great to mix with mayo or dressing for lettuce sandwiches, or topped on tomato slices with a cheese slice over the top. Yes, I agree, no news is good news! Loretta, Yes, DH is still seeing the chiropractor. He goes 3x a week. He went yesterday and felt alot stronger in his legs afterwards, although the weakness was back today. It encourages him and keeps him hopeful. Glad to hear your siding will be underway soon! Yes, do take some pics before and after...just like us on this BB. Ginny, We had rain this aft, so Sassy was indoors. I manage to put her in the garage on her long leash so she was happy sheltered and looking out at the passing people traffic. Oliver has slept most of today. Barb, Yikes, on your weather! What are your temps like now? Roger, A LAST HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH OF THE DAY! from me that is! Hope you are doing something FUN tonight! Wavin to Jacki, Pam and All. SuSUN |
