I have been waiting for a book to come up that I had put on hold so I started a 1500 piece jig saw puzzle and for 2 days now, I still haven't the edge down. It's a killer of one. I love to work them but this one may be on my table for months. Then I checked the library site tonight and my book in there for pickup. So I'll be busy as always but now it's fun.

Yep, still doing the DGKids taxi jig! Next few months will go quickly though.

Loretta, you pic of you and the DGKids is a fabulous one. You DO look so young girl! Whatever you're doing, it works.

Minds blank on what all I was going to write so maybe I'll just have to come back tomorrow when my brain is working. Think I'll join Linda and hit the sack!

YUP, being in majestic mountains is the most awesome feeling...
I'm ALIVE there; humbled and exhilarated simultaneously. A Spiritual experience, and this gabby broad is at a loss for words.
Confession: I've cried healing, happy tears in the Rockies, also at Denali, etc...cause the experience of being there was overwhelming.....

When Mt. St. Helens blew, both my boss and I were devastated by the massive destruction re surrounding miles of flora and fauna, for we both had spent so much time there. He asked how I felt. I replied
Like my Church burned down

It wasn't until some time had passed, and I was able to go back there....see the regeneration of that scorched landscape, the elk herds returning...that it became clear to me: I was witnessing the Circle of Life...

LOL< sorry for getting all misty about mountains.....guess I wish I could spend Easter Sunrise atop one.

Barb I agree, your back yard is AMAZING...do you have to MOW the mountains at the back of your yard or do you have them planted with perennials?

Well, the weight loss is finally cooperating. Yesterday, I got 1875 calories and am pretty well rid of that wine pudge from 21 days of excess calories. I'm at 215 but I'm going to try to take it down to 200-205. If I work out hard enough I should be able to save most of the muscle I have without giving up too much. At the lower weight I should be able to cabinet the BP med/meds.

We have a beautiful, sunny, cloudess,
40&deg; outside and it's going up to 50. Rain coming tomorrow evening but we have Matinee tickets to a show in the Village so we can be home berfore it starts.
Renewing gym membership Monday after a pretty successful 14 months, I hate to spend $800 but I DO use it enough to justify.

Lox, 1/2 bagel, cream cheese, and Spanish onion this morning (380 calories ).

Good Saturday Morning Gang!

Feeling much better today, yesterday couldn't get going. I did'nt sleep to well the night before. During the day I kept starting to read stuff and would fall asleep so I think I had 3 or 4 cat naps.

So feelin good today.

I have to apologise for my lack of sleep...I messed up my message...Just to clarify my garbled message of yesterday...it is DsonIL's Father that is dying from Lung Ca.

Good fer you, renewing that gym membership, I used to belong to a gym in my earlier years for over 10 years and attended religiously.
Then, I used to go sporadically to the local recreation centre to aerobics, low impact, aquafit. I think it is great when you are "in the zone." I just can't seem to get back there, plus I have no spare time to even go!

You are such a Nature lover...no wonder you become misty at the talk of mountains. Yes, the cycle of life is wonderous! Seems nature just knows how far to let everything run down into chaos (entrophy) and then regenration begins. This is my theory even after a nuclear war, a sprig of green will return.

Hi SuSun. The Puzzle is of Noah's Ark. We still haven't got the sides together. My DH wants me to put it away, give it away and start a more reasonable on. Some of these off brands have the weirdest size pieces. You can hardly tell which are sides. One time my DD gave me one with no sides...that went to a friend too!

So what's the opinion of the new BB? Seems it's like other BB's, so nothing new for me.

Zip, WTG on losing some weight.Don't tell us about all the carbs you eat.
For once we have clouds and lots of rain.

Nope no asthma YET. Keep your fingers crossed. I did start the Z-Pak but got those awful stomach cramps and nausea. Hope it was just a coincidence and not the antibiotic. It never did that before.

Barb, do you subscribe to this thread? Use to be at the end but now it's up at the top. In your options in your control, you can have instant emails telling you when someone adds a reply to your subscribed thead. You use to have to click on the link and go to the thread to read the reply but NOW...the reply is in your email notification. Of course there may more than one reply and then you still have to go to the BB. Good idea anyway as you don't want to miss anything.

Linda, I just read this in my HMO mag.

Within 20 minutes of smoking that last cigarette: blood pressure decreases, pulse rate drops, body temperature of hands and feet increases. In 8 hours, carbon monoxide level in blood drops to normal, oxygen level in blood increases to normal. After one day: the chance of of a heart attack decreases. After two days: nerve endings start regrowing, the ability to smell and taste is enhanced.

Roger, how was the three hours of weight lifting? Are you dead and buried or still ? We do have some grass but try not to get any more, just natural looks great to me. Alas, some do need to run their toes through something soft and green.

Loretta, keep good medical records on those tubes for Leah. Once she enters school, the nurse and audiologist will be able to help a lot with any problems sounding out words, etc. I don't know how many times we have referred kids for hearing problems and then find out they had tubes in their ears and problems at that age. There is soooooo much more help out there with knowledge.
