MVM FRIDAY

Getting ready for another light day at the gym so I don;t hurt anything...good yesterday.

Loretta, Sorry to hear your cold is worse...I can hear both you and Ginny sniffling if I listen hard to the South.

Well, it's nice to know we consumers are protected from unscrupulaous lenders:

Debate about the bill continued Thursday, with the Republican-controlled Senate refusing to limit consumer interest rates to 30%. The vote was a bipartisan 74 to 24 to kill a proposed amendment by Sen. Mark Dayton (news, bio, voting record) (D-Minn.). Senate passage of the bill is expected next week.

Morning..I think! Coffee where are you?? Oh there it is...hmmm thats better!!

Roger, how's the " No candy til next Valentine's Day 75% sales." going? Hitting the gym today?

SuSun, how's the computer problems? Hope that is fixed soon. Can't have that your excuse for neglecting us.

Barb, oh no, we can't show Bo. He is minus his most important parts and in order to show, he must have "them!!!!!!!" He is cut in a pet cut, very short and not like the show dogs with all that puffy hair. I do brush him every single night and keeps the matts down to nil. I just can't imagine how those show people do it.

Linda, did you buy anything from Netrition?

Loretta sweetie, sure hope this morning is bringing you some relief with that cold. Is it all in your head now?

Ginny, how are you feeling today. Didn't check in yesterday and we missed you

Shawnee, missed you too yesterday. Are you out enjoying the unexpected sunshine we had? Guess you can't always believe that weatherman "once again."

Nick is off and gone for the day...Chuck is going to a car show in Seattle...I have the house all to myself today, a rarity!! So will get to just do what I want. I never get a day like this so I'm excited.
doesn't take much to excite little ole me, huh?

Thanks and I am feeling better this morning. My voice is getting back to normal too. The cough lingers on.

Zip, 30% interest rate WOW. No wonder they keep trying to give us credit cards. I like using a credit card and we seem to be in control. My x seemed to keep me broke by his use of credit cards. One of the marriage problems is that even though you might be unaware of your spouses dealings BUT you are still responsible for the debt. Been there. To even get my name off of the account I had to write a special letter.

Julie I could get excited about your day:

Seem like they are few and far between for me. Don't remember what that is quite like. Enjoy your day and what will you do?

Will try to get the boat again today but will all first and be sure it is ready to come home. Later this afternoon.

Later folks, and HI to the rest of our gang.

Hey all,

Just the typical busies here for us. Hopefully we're going to see a warming trend soon as the cold weather is really getting old. My cold is dwindling to the periodic annoyance level.

This weekend in Nashville is the Lawn and Garden show. We'll go up and lurk around for a while. We've gone every year for quite a few years now and it's always a good time. Don't spend a whole lot of $, but it is fun to look at the stuff. Our orchid society always has a big display and small sales booth. Lots of people are intrigued by the display, so we generally spend some time talking about the 'chids while we're looking at the display.

Not much time to post today, gotta run and get lunch..... hope all are well (or getting there, Loretta!) and happy!

Hi to One and All!

Got internet today but still no email connection. Gotta check with DSIL how he installed my programs etc...

I am so sorry Julie, that I had to use the 'puter problem for neglecting our gang.

We have brilliant SUNshine today, blue skies but still quite nippy out. Gettin Spring fever, March 20th is coming along sooon!!!

Well, it is Friday night again off to DD's so they can go out again tonight. Her DH just returned from Europe last night. He is a busy boy!

Hopefully, all my 'puter problems will be resolved this weekend.

Waving to everybody!

Susun,

I think you BLEW OUT the Canadian e-mail system with some of your 5 meg PICS...couldn't resist.

There was an article in the ONTARIO DAILY BLAH that talked about bandwidth burnout and some one named SO...SAN (or some such spelling): they think she's a crazed oriental but we know better ! Some sort of e-mail terrorist is the word round town!

We are sunny but continued COLD...as Ginny said, getting OLD.

Oh me, Oh my...just getting a day older!

Finally we got Dh's boat back. New batteries, new tires on the trailer, motor tuned up and painted, new wax job on the boat, new live well pumps. We will be good to go as soon as we get all the fishing gear stowed back onboard.

I do need something stonger for this cold. I am getting sick of coughing and now my nose is running and getting red. Poop. I am tired.

Whine, whine, wine, wine, wine. Get me another.

Susun glad it is just your internet server. That can be a pain in the butt. Hope you get mended soon.

Good night.

Another late check in for me. We ran out tonight to see my youngest son get his 90 "chip". Let's hope his clean and dry period sticks this time.

Mouse traps haven't been touched so I think my deadly broom sweep got rid of the only one who wandered in.

Picked up some nice HUGE green peppers on sale at $.99 lb, down from $1.99 last week, and will make stuffed peppers tomorrow. Gas has gone up 4 cents to $2.01 gal. Sheesh, we just can't win.

Roger,
30% interest??? Thank God for my Visions Credit union. Their fixed rate is only 10%.

Julie, hope you enjoyed every minute of your private time today. It sure is hard to come by,eh?

Yeah I ordered some Carbquick. We shall see how it is. I'm really wanting to make some Chicken and Biscuits.

Loretta, did you finally get the boat back? Bet your DH is chomping at the bit wanting to fish.

Glad the cold is getting better, but those coughs do last a long time.

Ginny, have fun at the flower show and take lots of pictures. We all need to be reminded that spring isn't really that far away. sigh..

Susan, Glad you got the INTERNET connection back. Well at least you can use your yahoo e mail. That's not connected to your ISP service.

Hi ya Barb and Shawnee.

More later.

Oops Loretta, we must have been posting at the same time.

YIPPIE!! Glad the boat is back. Now DH can get out there on the lake and enjoy some fishing and you can enjoy some much needed quiet time.

As Julie said, whine all you want. Poor thing. Those colds are just plain NASTY!! Here, have a glass of Merlot..

Julie, Congrats to Nick. He has it pretty much beaten. My son has been through this many, many times over the past 20 years. We shall see.

Oh Linda, once an addict, always an addict and just one drink/drug away from it starting all over again. I speak from my own alcohol addiction experience. I do believe Nick has great conviction he will stay drug free but complacency is not a good thing either. We shall just keep good thoughts about him and your dear son.

Hi Y'all

Zip, how did the gym go? The sauna part would thrill me.

Credit cards? The only way to go for me is pay off the Balance immediately when the bill comes. I hate Debt, but use some cards to keep my Credit active....

Yeah, I googled that Hawkinson dude...your post re him triggered one of those worthless bits of info that I had squirreled away...BINGO ! It WAS the geeknut guy. Seems lots of "brilliant" folk are quite eccentric...hummm, wonder if he is a Lefty?

SuSUN, so glad ya made access here. Missed ya! WOW, your SIL is sure a frequent Globehopper. Are you thinking FLORIDA?

Aw, Loretta...your poor thing Are you not resting enough? Whatever bug I had, I'd feel better..so I'd try to be human and do things...BAM!..relapse...over and over for over a month. REST!
Wonderful your DH is back in the Fishing Business He sure deserves some sunshine and crappie bites!
Some critter got into the two pots of Tulips, broke a few down/off in each pot...GRRRrrr...probably a coon, no Pup here to chase them off. The remaining ones are really growing, but no buds yet.

Montana, YAY for you, ordering the Carbquick...certainly popular on the Recipe Help Board. I didn't get any...decided to use up the overstock of baked stuff in the freezer, so I haven't been baking at all....but must resume soon. Will be interesting to hear your reports on it.
Good Luck to your DS. Tough row to hoe.
Glad ya didn't catch a Bear by his big toe ...you'd be exchanging that broom for Firepower.

Goddess, Whoopie for Y'all...rather envious of your upcoming trip. Please sniff the fragrant OrKids for all of us....and if ya have your camera handy,,,,,Please ! Enjoy your weekend.

Julie, GREAT that Nick is doing so well. So Chuck is a Car Show buff too? We hit a lot of them in the Summer, especially the Antique and Muscle cars. Bob and I are still teenagers when it comes to the 50-60's cars.
Lucky for you, a day all to yourself...I WANT one. I actually ENJOY CLEANING without interuptions....like Bob and the Chuckster wanting to walk where I'm mopping.

Barb, thanks for your first hand info on Weaver; refreshing to hear he remained human after the money rolled in.

To ALL, have a content weekend.

OH, I posted some Info on Stevia (2 posts, actually) on the Main..it DOES have some side effects for some folk.
I grew a plant of it a few years back...pretty, but after tasting a leaf, I didn't go to the trouble of harvesting, drying, etc.

talk to me about stevia - what's the down side??

Yeah!

At least I can sign in from DD's now too! I was able to open my email at her place tonight, not sure what's going on with my 'puter. DSIL will take a look on the weekend. There is no hurry so long as I can keep in touch with this BB.

Loretta,
Do you have anything in the house with codiene in it? Tyl #3 or something, that will surpress the cough so at least you can get some sleep at bedtime. I prefer Tussinex when I can get it.
Hope it soon passes for you!
Do you have a supply of TLC soft tissues for your tender nose?Feet up now and do whine and as Julie said she will serve the cheese, even though Linda could use it for her field mouse!
Glad to hear you got the boat fixed. LOVE your new avatar pic!

Roger,
YOU are probably right, those wall sized pics were just "too broad" for the broadband and fibre optic cables...sounds like I know what I am talking about...nuf said!
It could also have been that Colorado low that drifted in! LOL!

Julie,
We too did that deed to Oliver, so he can't be shown either.
Great news on Nick...yes we say that too, to the quitting smokers, you are just one puff away from a pack a day. They can't get too cockey after they quit. Great reminder for all of us adddicts out there!

Linda,
Good to hear you made it to the 90 day chip.
Thanks for the reminder about Yahoo. I am not sure if I have all my addy's in there!
DH friend came over and changed a connection wire and the internet connection was up and running. DSIL set up my email so gotta check with him when he recovers from his recent jet lag.

Ginny,
Glad to hear you code is almost gone!
That lawn and garden show sounds interesting, we are still white everywhere so a splash of colour right now would go down a treat.

Shawnee,
Hope all is colourful in your neck of the woods, sounds like you are basking in the SUNshine on the left coast.
I was looking in a binder the other day, called the Sacred Smoke, a quitting binder for facilitators for Aboriginal peoples, it looks interesting and a different approach to quitting.

Barb,
Glad to see that the wolves didn't get ya!

Good Night All!
