Hi Linda and Loretta,
Linda, yes, I missed you terribly yesterday. Was hoping everything was ok with you and your DB. Loretta, it's ok, we all get in just plain tired of gabbing. Well, not usually me but even sometimes I do. It doesn't last long with me. Hope you will feel more like yourself soon. Not much going on here. DGD, Jana, is coming over today and spending a few days. I'm so glad as I don't get to see her as often now she 's moved to Seattle. I even think her and her mom are going to lunch tomorrow, first time she has seen her since before Thanksg. Hope it turns out well. Sunny and gorgeous again today. Love this weather. Shawnee is it staying the same down there too? Nice I mean. Off to get dressed. Got caught yesterday on the treadmill wo any makeup or hair down. DD brought her new/old bf over to see us. He lives in Georgia but since they have resumed their 25 yo bf/gf relationship, he is here to visit. I think he is considering moving here and already talking the big M. My gosh, why can't they wait and get to know each other better. It's been 25 years like I said and they were 15 yo. when they dated. Just been communicating over the internet and phone for a month. Geez, both have 2 failed marriges, haven't they learned yet? Ok, enough of my rant!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

Hi again.
Julie, aww. Thanks for missing me. You are so sweet. Just chasing my tail all day and evening and then again today. Geezz, these young ones are in such a hurry to have some kind of relationship that they don't think things through and don't really get to know each other. Instead of long engagements and long marriages, it's a short engagement and shorter marriage. How sad. Ginny, you and the fur kids must be so happy to have DH home again. Bet he is glad to be there too. Nothing like sleeping in our own beds. Loretta, Yeah I know about not feeling gabby. Sometimes on the golden,.....well, never mind. LOL That boat is WOW!!! Love the color and I bet your DH is chomping at the bit wanting to get in it and take it for a spin.Just found out that Nick may have to have those ear tubes too. Will anxiously await news on how Leah does next week with hers. Here is a good site explaining them http://www.entusa.com/ear_tubes.htm Shawnee, We will be happy to send you all of this darned snow. I'll ship it priority mail. How are those butt muscles today? I"m a squatter too so I know how you feel. OUCH! Susan, hope you, DD and Ella had a fun time at the mall. You are brave to venture there on a weekend with all of the crowds. Where is our Roger? Hope all is well with him. |

SOLITUTE !! A word many of us don't recognize anymore. I love it at times and then again I have some times just to be social. It's perfectly ok to NOT feel gabby. Loretta, you are one honest person. When I don't feel social I don't post. That happened over on GB -- got tired of the same-o, same-o, until I realized that is LIFE.
We had a great time yesterday -- one neat birthday for DH. It was raining when we left and stopped in-between and rained all the way home. We went 4-wheeling with two other couples in the canyon areas close to Utah and came out by Grand Junction and had dinner. The waterfalls in the canyons were awesome -- water flowing over ledges........ how to describe. We have some neat friends - these two couples we have known for years. One is a college professor at the State College in Grand Junction, his wife a member of the Belly Dancers Group. The other couple, one is a mechanic for Bud Weiser , Inc. and travels the state fixing taps, etc. His wife is an ER nurse. Next weekend is my true test of exercise!! We have committed ourselves to a weekend of snowshoeing from hut to hut in the plateau region of the San Juan Mountains. If I don't return next Monday -- the 28th, send the posse!!! You have to sign up ahead of time and there's a waiting list -- we were called because of some cancellations. Two other couples (friends of ours) and DH and myself will attempt to spend three days in the snow going from hut to hut for supplies and sleep!! Scenery is great, but I hope they don't have to wait toooooo long for me to catch up. I'm afraid of wild animals!!More later! Julie, how is Jana feeling? It'd difficult to be all things to all people, but you are such a great grandma -- How's Nick doing? Graduating - when? Zip, what art thou doing? You did win the prize on what "up the river" meant. I really like watching the History Channel -- so much information out there!! Some day when I win the lottery, I'm going to go back East and visit all of those historial places. I know the West fairly well and have been to many sites. Custer's last stand in Montana is the MOST interesting. My cheesecake (Loretta's recipe) is ALWAYS such a big hit -- no leftovers - darn!! Till the morrow....... Barb

Linda thanks for that web site on the ear tubes. I forwarded it to my DIL and DS. That sure explaines the tubes and what to expect in detail. Guess the tubes are just as common as tonsillectomies were several years back.
Those Goldens **** most post on the daily roll call but not very many on the exercise, water and menu threads. I think some of them are at their original weight from when they started to post. Guess most are a social bunch. Barb you sure are adventerous (sp). Going hut to hut. Is it safe out there. NO avalanches possible are there? What about food. Will you have to cook it too. You will burn tons of calories trudging thru the snow. Be sure to pack some warm refreshements like a bottle of Christain Brothers. Nice to have some friends to pal around with. Glad you like the cheesecake. I don't make it too often because of the fats but I sure do enjoy it. Doubt if DH wants to wait for the boat. He will call the guy tomorrow. But I think he is going to keep his old one, just get it fixed up and new tires on the trialer. That will take a while too. He wants to go fishing.

I had to share this as it reminded me of Loretta and her DH.
JUST FOR US INCURABLE ROMANTICS The other day I came home and was greeted by my wife, dressed only in very sexy underwear and holding a couple of short velvet ropes. "Tie me up," she purred, "and you can do anything you want." So, I tied her up and went fishing. |

Hi Y'all
So, I tied her up and went fishing. OH, GAWD, Julie... ....you've exposed Loretta's secret life! LOL, I think what her DH would really do is take her with him, and practice tying "love knots" when the fish aren't biting. ![]() Aw, Loretta....I hope it comes to pass that your DH gets that boat, if its meant to be. The fish will still taste just as good when caught from the current one....but men do like new toys now and then. I've noticed the same as you, bout some folks' weight staying the same forever (on several boards)...or they don't show a weight at all. Guess it could be said that OUR Daily Thread here is Social too, but it still sorta makes me accountable... ![]() Something I've found interesting: each new (or re-newed) Fad diet, suppliment, or idea that comes along gets an immediate following ...that immediate gratification/ shortcut thingy... ![]() Then some of these followers say I CHEATED cause it didn't work, and move on to the next fad. Sometimes I wanna say to them: why don't y'all join hands and jump off a very high bridge together? You'll have time to be scared sh*tless on the way down...then you will weigh less until you hit Reality at the bottom. Gorgeous day here, a tad nippy...and I thoroughly enjoyed wasting it, doing as little as possible. Bob watched the Datona races...I could hear it, so would check the tv when the great bang-ups happened...Ain't gonna lie, I love the exciting wrecks. That cutie Jeff G won again....oh, to be 30 years younger... YAHOO on the great DH birthday trip, Barb...love waterfalls, large or small...mezmerizing... Wow, Gal...y'all must have great leg muscles to go on that snowshoe jaunt. I'll suggest a friendly 4 x 4 St. Bernard with requisite likker neck attachment as a companion. Have you noticed how difficult it is to find an absolutely, totally quiet place to enjoy? The glorious sounds of Nature being an exception... Montana, fellow squatter ...Thank you, the glutes recovered after telling me they needed more attention, less lollygagging.Aw, poor Nick too? Almost an epidemic of ear problems. SuSUN, how did your afternoon of Mall shopping go? More a togetherness thing that actual shopping? Fun, either way. Clean floors = good feeling! ![]() Ginny, will you have tomorrow off? Are the Pups settling down yet? ...or still keeping a close eye on DH? Zip.....come out, come out...whever you are..... Hey Jacki...saw your DH overhauling the Rider; its that time again.
