Saturday 2/19 for MVM

Hey all,

Took a vacation day yesterday so that I could spend time with DH after picking him up from the airport. He had been up in MN helping to sort through everything, but it was finally under control enough so he's BACK HOME!!! Our middle child, Tyke, got to make the run to the airport with me since she's SUCH a daddy's girl. One pretty excited pup! We just stayed home, called in pizza and lazed around the house. He was sure glad to get away from the MN winter....prolly as glad for that as he was to see ME LOL (he hates cold weather)

Linda, glad your DB is doing so well! Has he been sprung yet? Best to recouperate OUTSIDE the hospital, much less germs!

Loretta, how's li'l Leah doing with the tubes? Poor thing, hate for them to have to have that, but better in the long run without the ear infections and problems that could arise from them.

Zip, I love Chinese too. We have a really good buffet fairly close to us (1/2 hour away) and it has the grill where you can choose your meat/veggies for them to do on the spot. Can be as LC as we want there!

Shawnee, sounds like your mower has a MUCH better personality than ours does LOL!! I don't use the pushmower, but will do the rider. DH does all the trim up work with the weedwhacker (and usually mows too, I escape that unless I take allergy meds!). I've tried to weedeat, but it's too hard on my rt. arm with the tendonitis. Our yard is typical country--lotsa weeds--but it does look nice after a grooming!

Julie, so sorry Jana had a bad wrap causing a bad run for her. That has to be so very frustrating! Does she just vault or was that the part that she qualified for State on? I love watching gymnastics, it's amazing what they can do! Also enjoy watching ice skating for the same reasons!

Barb, sounds like you're feeling better enjoy your long weekend!

Susan, Hope you had a good night's babysitting. When the weather is warmer, will you have DD bring Ella to you? That sure is a long wait for your DH to have in seeing the neurologist. If you go to Florida, will you have health coverage and be able to see someone here in the states sooner?

Off to lurk for a bit....hope everyone has a fun day!

Hi Ya!

Good Saturday mornin to y'all. Had a wonderful evening with my lil Ella last night, they were home for 10ish, so I was home for about 11ish.

I see the BB was busy last night, great to see everyone responding.

DSil has set up some kind of phone line on DD's internet she wants me to get it too, seems a neat way to communicate without any long distance charges looking into that.

Ginny,
The health coverage we buy for visiting DS is for emergency stuff not pre-existing conditions. So he will just have to wait it out. His family doc has been seeing him weekly and doesnt seem to think it is an emergency.
Any remedies up your PUP sleeve for Oliver's itchies? poor thing. I apply the cream it soothes for a short while. I was wondering about Bendryl, have you ever used that? Baby strength that is?
Glad you took a day off yesterday, we all need that eh?

Shawnee,
The sealing wax, thing was just an expression looking at my options.

Later,
SuSUN

Well the boat. But it is not ready in any way, no motor, no seats, no wiring. Well DH is not sure he can wait for the final. The people here are not in ANY hurry. Besides that the dealer wants to have it to show for a while. It is almost time to fish for those crappie. I am thinking he will just get the old boat tuned up and use it.

I messed up with Leah's tubes. She will get them next Thursday. Better because last night she was sick with some virus.

Julie 4x for tubes, yikes. Was Jana very upset about not doing that well? There is always another.

Ginny I know it was great to get DH back home again. What a nice welcome to bring Tyke along to greet him. Bet he got lots of kisses from the both of you.

Susun glad you had a nice evening with Ella. They grow up so fast. If I don't get to see Leah for 2 weeks, I sure see lots of changes.

Will check back later. Waving to the rest of our MVMs.

Loretta

Morning,

Sunny here again! I could get use to this stuff! No plans for today, maybe a run to Barnes and Noble. Anybody ever read Geneen Roth about eating compulsions etc?

Shawnee, Ginny and I would be interested to know a question for your vet tech. First of all write me and tell me how that pill works to kill the worms. I wondered why he wasn't eating for 2 days. Ginny and I would like to know how the heck they get them? My vet just tells me he either eats flea's, which he is free of, or eats rodents. Now, if he was doing the later, I would think we would find some remants of it in the fenced back yard. If you happen to see her again, you might ask her her opinion.

Loretta, does Leah drink her bottle laying down in bed? They say now, that is one cause of ear problems. Sure hope the tubes help and am sure they will. My son one time came home from the hospital after having them put in and went to the bathroom, started screaming and I went a running...seems he flushed the toilet and it was too loud for those little ears. I felt so sorry for him.
Nice boat, bet DH is really anxious to get it done. I would be. At least he has another boat to go out and get those crappies.

SuSun, my DD has a mobil phone over the internet but haven't a clue how it works or the cost. If you have to call long distance, it might be worth looking into.

Ginny, don't ya love reunions?? Glad your hubby is home safe and sound. The kids must be in 7th heaven too!!

No, Jana competes in all events but only qualified for the vault this year. It's her come back year..she's been out of it for 3 years. She use to compete with a private club and went all over the northwest competing. We even went to Las Vegas one year to a Internations meet and she came in 4th in her division. She also started out with a sprained ankle right off the bat, and has been struggling with that all year. So we were happy she even got to state this year. Next year I'm sure she'll do much better and her team will be one of the best. She is changing high schools. She moved to her dad's house in August and was unable to get in the school she wanted. The other school has a very good team.
Enough rambing.......

Off to get more coffee and breakie. Have a good one.

WOW! LORETTA, THAT BOAT IS JUST GORGEOUS! Do you have a name for her yet?
LOVE the colours, electric blues!

DH said if he ever got a boat, he would call it "Yes Dear." He has a sense of humour too!

Glad Leah didn't have to get the tubes while she has that virus, bless her. I know what ya mean 'bout them changing so fast. Ella is so alert now, sitting alone and entertains herself. I said to DD that she is so easy now, of course DD said try doing it 24 x 7...nuf said! LOL!

I betch can't wait for that special delivery! Thanks for sharing the pic with us.

Julie,
I am so jealous of your weather. I gotta plan a move to a sunnier clim! I love the flowers and you mentioned your roses...ouch that hurts...still covered in white up here, SO ready for a splash of colour!
DD has a slender microphone on a little stand at the side of the 'puter. I too am not sure how all this works. If DSIL sets me up with it, then I can use it to those that are connected.
It is good that Jana is back at it again. They can so easily become discouraged, that is what makes a champion, perseverance!

Ginny,
How was your re-connecting day? Must have been heavenly for DH to get back to normal and some decent temps.
That is so cute that Tyke is a Daddy's girl!
TLC, and Kisses all round, now a member of the pack has returned!

Booked our trip to Florida today....at least I know I am going somewhere warm soon!

Hi Y'all

Another nice but nippy day here. Sun is bright, I'll trade some for snow if ya send it to my mountains

Dang, Loretta...I can see why your DH would drool all over that boat. (Bob said WOW!) Must be a b*tch for him, with the Owner dangling it like a carrot...and won't do a timely delivery!

SuSUN...LOL, egg on my face; I had not heard that expression before...I was actually visualizing the real stuff.
YEY! for you, mapping out the FL. plans...counting the days, huh?

My butt muscles are sore, I did some weeding yesterday...too lazy to get on my knees, so the ol' hindquarters got a good stretching.

Julie and Ginny, I have sent y'all E mails bout the wonderful world of tapeworms, as per Julie's request. Unless you pin a Vet down and ask lots of questions, ...just like a regular Doc, they give minimum info and pass out the pills, cause their time is money.

Ginny, enjoy your reunion...hope the Pups don't wear out their tongues and tails

...and don't you wear out your DH!

Julie, its true..those tubes can direct sounds, and create them too...like "pops" and gurgles..whistles.

To all following, HEY..and have a good one.
