Hi everybody!

Another sunny day and I'm not complaining!! Feels so good to get out there and walk in the fresh air.

Taking dog to Vet today. Seems he has tape worms again. Why do these dogs eat fleas anyway? any of you know if there is something we can spray the lawn with to get rid of these little critters. Bo takes "Program" for himself and doesn't have any on him.

Another Taxi day but thats it for this week.

Tomorrow is the day my DGD, Jana, will compete in the State Gymnastics meet in Tacoma. She qualified in the Vault! So excited for her.

Off to get my 2nd cup of coffee.......

Nothing much happening: going through the 5 tiered INBOX (the one with REAL PAPER) and getting crapola cleared out...and giving myself a super short haircut because the cold weather is moving in again. If I need a chapeau to go out I want short hair.
Tomorrow, Bob and I will have a frolic in town.

Sunny but colder today, however the gh is nice and warm. Cooling even kicked in

Julie, you can put diazanon granules on the yard, but be sure to water them in before humans/critters return to the yard. We use Advantix on our gang and have no trouble with fleas at all. We live in the 'flea belt' too. The problem with Program is that it only keeps fleas from reproducing, but Advantix works as soon as the mangy bug bites your dog~~instant death to fleas. We tried Program and it didn't work for us since our dogs are indoor/outdoor.

Zip, have fun with the real paper inbox. I go through my stacks periodically and keep them to a minimum. I do have to go through my file cabinet and shred some stuff tho. That will be a big job as I'm pretty O/C about keeping statements etc.

Linda, how's DB doing? Hopefully the recovery process is quick for him!

HI to all

We have a nice sunny day but very cold with lots of wind making it seem worse. We have been busy, DH has a great spurt of energy lately. We got a new mower tire and put that back on the riding mower and he sharpened up the blades the other day. We are getting some estimates for vinly siding on the house. That painter never showed last year and we have not heard from him this year at all.

Ginny I think I will get around to trying that flat bread this evening. I'm going to use my string cheese on top of it so it will be like cheese bread. (One of my all time favorites from Pizza Hut)
Will start small. I don't keep many papers anymore. I seem to never to back and need them. We do keep DH's medicare and EBO from the health insurance for about a year and then out they go.

Julie best of luck to Jana in her gymnastics competition. Will you be able to go to the competition?

Shawnee I think we might have a later growing season here too. Are your daffodils up yet? We have lots blooming along the roadsides. Did not see many crocus this year. Maybe I have too many in the pot. You know I am going to worry until I see some action. I have been waiting for this.

Linda hope Larry continues nicely on his road to recovery.

Susun glad you enjoyed your day out with your gals. How nice to have the grandkids so close by. My other two are a distance with 2 busy parents. Not much time for visiting.

Hi everybody,

Had a mini blizzard blow through here an hour or so ago and more to come. It got real cold again too. Darn it all.
Talked to my DD in Fla and it's in the 80's

Brother is doing well and has been moved to another room. I'm going to call him pretty soon and find out when exactly he will be discharged to the hotel.


Julie, Poor pup. What does the vet say about preventing those tape worms? There must be something he/she can suggest unless they just like the money from all of your visits.

Best of luck to Jana. I bet she is just thrilled to be able to participate. You must be so proud too.

Junk mail is what gets me. Generally I open the mail and put all the crap including the extraneous stuff that comes with the bills in the burn bag.

I agree with you Linda on that sterilized at birth stuff..... too many fall into that category!!

Is everyone shredding? They had a report on a while ago about shredding your personal papers, etc. I always shread!! It's my favorite activity for the weekend!!

Report on Bo! They get these worms from eating a flea or eating a ...........rodent!!! My Gawd! He doesn't ever have flea's on him and he certainly hasn't eaten any rodents that we know of. Unless he ate the WHOLE THING!! ~~~sick~~sick~~sick~~~~
Gave him a pill and thats it!!!!

SuSun, Jana is 15 yo. She use to belong to a gym club, private but now is doing it with the high school. She told me today the coach is having her do a more complicated vault or else she wouldn't have a chance of advancing. Geez...what pressure and she isn't use to doing this one. Hope she doesn't fall on her head!!

So when are you going to wise up and retire kiddo!!!

Julie, no you aren't paranoid at all. We burn too. Humm, maybe we are both paranoid. We have mandatory recycling of all paper, metal, plastic, glass, etc and I'll be damned if I'll throw my personal information in the recycle bin EVEN shredded.

Poor Bo. Guess there isn't much you can do to prevent the tape worm unless you confine him to the house at all times. LOL I can just see you trying to "potty train" him.

Barb, I thought about shredding but then read about some of these defective products produced by those who should have been sterilized at birth, putting the stuff back together. Can you imagine. Now those newer cross cut shredders may be OK but still, I would rather burn.

Don't' have a clue as to the gestation period of cats. Hope someone can help.

I talked to Larry tonight and he sounded fine and said he felt not too bad considering.. He finally got to eat and will most likely be discharged to the hotel tomorrow afternoon. He just has to , ummm how do I say this nicely???poop Then he can get out of there.

We have one of the cross-shredders...it does a great job...plus I give the paper bits a good stir....add nasty stuff like coffee grounds, etc... Burning is frowned upon in town...even fireplaces if ya have an alternative heat source, because of the pollution factor. The Info I worry about is ALL the various Businesses thant have info on us: Docs, Insurances, Banks, etc.
One of the H & R Block Tax joints got broken into...computers swiped...lots of personal info on em

Cats gestation is approx. 2 months. Litters show up around here in Mar-April...usually again in July...
