Tuesday 15th for MVM

Hi Y'all

.....................everyone still recovering from Valentine's Day???

Barb, hope you are improving!

Loretta, here's the Tulips Pots overwintered from last year...don't expect as much bloom this time around, but the leaves are sure willing to grow. Gave them a good shot of bone meal.

Our nights are in the 20's...Brrr!

More later

Shawnee

Shawnee,

It looks like they'll bloom. You didn't force them did you? I've read you can only do THAT once.

Julie,
I'm here too. Forty minutes on the stationary bike and then 20 minutes on the treadmill seemed to ease the depression a bit...but I'm POOPED! Susun, how's your spirits?

Barb,
I hope you're feeling better but nobody gets over these things that fast. Take your sick days and watch TV, humble fare that it IS during the day.

We have mid-50's here and almost moist April weather...waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Bob dining with 2 cousins so I bought myself 2/3 of a pound of Tilapia for dinner...I wasn't thinking when he weighed it up. It's too much for one and not enough for two!

Linda,
ShopRite has the Carlo Rossi line on sale for $8.99 for the 4 liter bottle AND had a pile of $2 REBATES. You can't get much cheaper than that- $1.75 a liter!

Just getting here after running around all day. Had a visit with my Allergist and a PFT then off to my moms for a visit, THEN to DD's to let the pup out. Darn it all, I forgot to pick up my prescription. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Brother Larry left for Baltimore and will have surgery at 6AM tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Shawnee, What makes you think they won't bloom? They look pretty healthy to this brown thumb person

LOL the 20's eh? It's been nice here but temps will drop again tomorrow. Maybe into the upper teens at night.

Hi ya Julie, what's keeping you so busy today?

Roger, Oh eat all that talapia. It's good for you. With a big salad, it's a perfect low carb meal.

Odd how a 100 plus miles south east makes such a difference in the temperatures. We got up to 47. AND yes the other shoe is going to drop. Don't we usually get a St. Pat's Day blizzard?

Heck, the closest Shop Rite is over 30 miles from here. That is a really good price. I usually buy it by the case, 4 bottles, for $34.61.

Off to catch up.

HI again

Glad to see more of y'all stragglin' in

I swear, this Maintainer Board was waaay too quiet; scarey when its all EMPTY here.

Julie, you're here...where???
Oh, I see your shadow running thru....

Montana, ya had a day of Tail-chasing, huh?
Best wishes and good thoughts for your Bro.
How's dakota doing? Bet he loves to see you show up.

Wow, Zip...at those prices, I could really be a cheap drunk !
(what am I saying..LOL..sniff a cork and I'm halfway snockered)

Naw, the tulips aren't forced. After blooming last Spring, I parked them in a sheltered area behind the garage to let the green parts get ugly and die down. For Winter, just heaped compost on the pots.
I do expect some bloom, just not as profuse as last year's.
We'll know the results in the weeks to come.

Hope the rest of the Gang drops in.

Nice sun today...made the dirty windows really look bad. I washed a few, but didn't wanna get carried away and turn it into a habit.

We had a beautiful warm day here close to 70 degrees. We have been out and about and Dh was fired up today getting the lawn mower ready for spring. Guess he doesn't want anything to interfer with his fishing once he gets that boat. It is at the shop and we will go over Friday and get a look at it, if the owner is there. We will call first since they don't keep regular hours in the winter.

Geesh Shawnee that tulip foilage is way up. I just have one bulb showing up about 1/2 inch above the ground. I am going to get worried if they don't start showing more growth.

for Larry tomorrow Linda. Hope all goes well for him and he has a speedy recovery.
We will start colder temps starting tomorrow but not that cold.

Zip that's quite a workout. I'd be more than pooped.
You could cook all that fish and eat the rest for leftovers. I frequently fix more fish than we will eat so I have some nice leftovers.

Barb hope you are better.

Hey to Ginny, Julie, Jackie and our favorite lurker.

I'll have you know that there is just about NOTHING to watch on TV during the day -- no wonder I work! Actually I like the History channel -- I have seen "The Big House" shows on every big prison in the US. You know where the expression "being sent up the river" comes from? All the easterners should know! Zip, our school counselor just flew out to New Jersey, bought a car for $800 and drove it back (33 hrs.). He met him on the internet -- Plymouth Neon, 1998. This guy deals with cars all the time.

I like your DH, Loretta, a man with a mission!! Let's get the lawn clipped so we can go fishing!!

Julie........ where are you running to...........

Linda, winter is NOT over yet -- it WILL rear it's ulgy head ONCE more! My FIL used to plant peas every year by St. Paddy's day just to have to re-plant or they would rot!! (Oregon) Fingers crossed for brother Larry......

Shawnee, we are reading "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" for Am. Lit. class. These kiddos have no experiences except for the Utes living in southern CO. Now, when we lived in NM, we had lots of experiences!! Did I ever mentioned how when we were going on our honeymoon ( many moons ago) the car broke down and we had to hitchhike back to town to get the other vehicle and got a ride in the back of a Navajo truck with the bale of hay and the dog? LOL

Hi to everyone missing here tonight, have a good one.....

Barb -- taking more pills......

HI Ya Gang!

Up at 6a.m. Did the pg moms group this morning, back to the office for a couple of hours, way behind on clearning the email, then off to do a presentation at 4p.m. got out of there at 5:30p.m. Home 6:30p.m. supper, then crashed...lovely nap for about an hour!

Off tomorrow! Just may visit DD & Ella later in the afternoon.
Thursday I have a workshop to do in a workplace back to the office for a about an hour then my workweek is over.

Roger,
I managed to do 15 minutes on the Treadmill for 2 days running, yes I do think it picks the mood up. I didn't manage it yesterday or today bin too busy!
Wow, you certainly put your time in. I admire that! Do you listen to motivating music?
I am feeling much better I think it was last week I was slipping cuz doing too much in such a compressed time frame.
How did you have your fish supper? Do you have a favourite sauce?

Loretta,
Love the new Avatar, "A host of Golden Daffodils!" Yes, bring on Spring!
Glad to hear your DH is looking forward to his fishing and his new boat. Hope the mower does cost too much to repair!

Linda,
Sending all positive thoughts to Larry for tomorrow's Sx. He will probably have a little struggle walking at first but I am sure he will bounce back after that!
Yes, we had warmer temps up here too! I heard it was +6Celsius this aft. I was too busy to enjoy it, slushy in the parking lots.

Shawnee,
Lovely pic of your Tulips. "A Sprig of Green, it must be spring!"
Hope Julie's fly doesnt get into the compost!
Gotta keep those Nuns away from ya windows, they do have a tendency to turn into a habit!

Julie,
I think Shawnee is right, just your shadow. We had better get tinkerbell to sew it back on, or Wendy Darling? Now what was the name of that big dog.....? Senior moments, lots of them these days!

Barb,
How are you doing after a days rest? Asthma's not a fun thing, my mother suffered with it all her life. I used to take care of respiratory patients on one of my stretches in the hospital. Emphysema, COPD, asthmatics, a scarey thing if ya cant breathe eh?

Ginny,
Whatsup? Recovering after the shifts?
Did they ever catch the nut that was roaming in your area?

Waving to Jacki and All!

SuSUN
