SUNday for MVMs

Good Sunday Morning Gang!

Feeling brighter this morning, so going to tackle a few jobs then I can settle that uneasiness - overwhelmed feeling!

The SUN is shinning and blue skies at the moment, so need to grab me some of that with Oliver, if it warms up for him.

Sounds like a great trip Linda, already planned for you!
DH's brother lives in Melbourne, we visited a few years back, the long flight is a big put off for me. We were invited to his last daughters wedding in NZ about 3 years ago but couldnt go as DD was going thru a rough time with the fertility stuff.

Later!

SuSUN

Well, I made it through the night -- just can't talk!! Some will consider this a blessing when I return to work!!

Linda, what a marvy trip! Hope you have figured out a way to pay for it!!

I sure could use a pup to curl up with --- we lost ours just about a year ago and now we only have 2 cats left!! The longer we go without a dog the more settled we are with not replacing him. Now these cats---- anyone interested? they are suppose to be outside but my DH keeps sneaking them in. Calico's are the only cat I'm NOT allergic to-

Sun is shining -- warm today...... but I think I'll just read a book.

Take care and have a nice one. Barb

Gosh do I come in here with all you sickies?????? Glad SuSun is feeling beter today. BArb, I can remember last fall when I couldn't talk, DH was in heaven!!

Survived the kids last night. Only one woke crying but went right back to sleep. Slept til 7:00 this morn. Not bad, could've been a lot earlier. So feeling good today.
We have fog clearing up early today. Looks to be a sunny day here too.

Have 9 gals coming for coffee tomorrow morning so after the kids are safely back home, Chuck and I'll be racing through this house cleaning up. So best go for now. Chuck's at church and Logan is running through the house trying to find something else he can reach!!

Hi to all

Barb, sorry to hear about the sickness you have acquired, probably from Dh. How about gargeling with some salt water for that sore throat?
Sometimes the simple cures work best for me. But then again I have not had a lung problem. That has got to make it much worse.

Susun hope you can make some headway on those small jobs. Tackeling them one by one will get the job done. Sometimes I just have to have a talk with myself to get organized.
Hope you find some time for relaxing today. It is a day of REST.

Shawnee thanks for that idea about smuggleing my own food into the fish fry. My kids are always laughing at me for bringing my own food. I like getting Dh out though and visiting with the people. Maybe I'll eat before we go and just put some things on my plate and move them around. We have some daffodils showing around here, no flowers yet though. Only one tulip in my pot showing so far.

Linda I'll look in Dana's book for that recipe. I like the Yummy chicken recipe too. How about that Linda's vacation? Sounds like a very nice place. Food for thought. Odd how you ended up with her email. Bet you were wondering about that.

Ginny glad you enjoyed that Gals Day out. So good to just go and visit and shop and come home tired out from enjoyment.
Find any bargains?

Julie is little Logan climbing yet? I am beginning to think it works better for all to baby sit at their house instead of mine. As long as DH agrees with that I will go that direction. DH has a heck of a time recovering from respiratory ills.

Jackie WHEN will that list be completed?

Zip how are things in the city today? You sure get a big turnover in neighbors there. Don't they have to sign a lease for a year? How is the rage problem? Better I hope. My blood pressure is FINALLY getting better on the 10/20 of the Lotrel. THis is the 3rd rx try. A was about to try another doc. No untoward symptoms of the new rx. Yet!!!!

Later folks

Loretta

Linda,

I think as long as you are going to Queensland and spending $18,000 on the plane tickets, you might as well go for 5 nights.

Barb,
You won't CONSIDER going to work with laryngitis...DEATH is too high a price to pay for a paycheck.

Loretta,
I'm glad your Lotrel is working for you...some salt restriction is always a good idea with the benazapril part.

Susun,
Well ONE of us has beaten the big D, congrats. I've got to get the *******ed light rig out tomorrow to stop thinking about the sweet peace of DEATH. (I think this Social Security upon me has triggered the abyss.)

Oh well, the circle goes round and round!

At least SHE'S brightening the room (and the VERY nice weather):

A nice day to you all...let's hope for an early Spring.

Roger, turn on every light you have in the house!! Do you have sunshine today? If so get out in it and stay there for awhile. Remenber all the advice I got? You can pull yourself out of it. SS?? Well it's inevitable so go with the flow.......

Phonecia is showing just beautiful! Thanks for the eye candy!!

Loretta, Logan is climbing everywhere. No place is sacred!!
I put up a pic of the kids on the GY Sunday roll call if you want to see them. Don't they look like angels???

Hey all,

A nice stay at home day for me. Got a few projects done, so now it's just relax and enjoy. Rainy here, guess the left coasters have sent us a present LOL

Those of you who are battling colds, etc, please feel better soon!

Off to gag some lollies,

Hi Guys!

Just checking in again. I managed a 30-minute walk with Oliver in the SUNshine, I looked directly at the SUN, no sunglasses to get the full benefit.
Did a few errrands the mall was so busy I didn't linger. Treated myself to a 1/2 regular and 1/2 decaf coffee while I was out.

Roger,
I am not sure I have it beat yet! You know how it goes, some days are better than others.
Miss P is just gorgeous, spreading out all those blooms for all to see! You've done an excellent job with her!
Anything ethnic on the menu tonight. I made a chicken korma last night added peas and raisins, it was a treat.
I have some lamb leg steaks thawing for tonight, probably with brussels and mint of course.

Julie,
How old is Logan now? I am guessing around 14 -18months can't recall his birthday I know he was before Leah, then Nikolas, then Ella. It is hard to keep track of all this cutties!
Enjoy the gals tomorrow!

Loretta,
I agree one thing at a time. It is mostly paperwork, takes so long to complete, then preparing for the next groups this week, different topics and handouts.
Feeling I can tackle it all now I have made some headway. I dread that overwhelmed feeling. I dont get it often but when I do...too many balls in the air! Thanks for the encouragement.

Barb,
That warm salt water gargle is a winner in my book! Great advice from Loretta, some of the more simple home remedies do work. Lemon and honey hot tea are a good combo too, except the Carbs!
Do you have a couple of puffers? Keep them coming to clear those airways and resting is the best thing for you this weekend. What are you reading?

Shawnee,
Thank you for posting the Spiced Cupcakes last night. I copied that to my recipe collection. I dont have all the ingredients. I've got the almond flour but dont have the gluten stuff.
5-WEEKS TO SPRING and Palm Sunday! Not too long to wait for your gardening now!

Jacki,
Bang, knock, saw, sweep...it will be completed soon!

Ginny,
Glad you had a great weekend off!

Later hopefully,

SuSUN

Hi everyone, I just took Dakota back home because my son should be there this week. Now I'm a nervous wreck! Hope the jerk can be responsible enough to take good care of him. I'll be checking every day and if one little thing is wrong, I'll lock David out and take the dog back home with me. Rant over.

Should get baking some low carb treats to help fill up that new freezer. AND there are several good sales at our local grocery stores. Time to really stock up on meats and poultry. Wally world had turkeys for $.58 lb.

Susan, sorry you are in a funk too. You should really learn how to say NO and cut back your hours at work.

Recipe please for that chicken Korma.

Ginny, hope you are thoroughly enjoying that much needed R & R.

Barb, do watch those lungs. Run, don't walk to the doctors if there is one little bit of yucky colored mucous. Asthmatic bronchitis can be deadly for us asthmatics.

Loretta, It's a good idea to either eat before an event or carry your own food. I do that often. But in any event, it's more important to get out and enjoy life.

Julie, LOL those little ones are sure a handful. Checked the pictures you posted on the golden and they are soooo cute. Don't they look like little angels though?

Roger, Phonecia is just spectacular!!! Wow you must be doing something right.

SS bothering you? Not me. Just think of the extra monthly income. It will come in handy for both of us. Did you apply yet? Let us know cause I want to know how difficult it is.
End of March is my turn.

Hi ya Shawnee, what's up with you today?

Jackie, don't work too hard.

Oh and gang. The air fare isn't all that much but that is one hell of a long flight.

Zip Phonecia is just one beautiful gal. To think we have know her since when. She sure is basking in your wonderful care.
SS is GREAT What is your problem?? Those extra bucks are wonderful. I do think that getting my MEDICARE card was a bittersweet event though. But I might think otherwise when I go to the doc next month.

Julie I did get a glimpse of those DGKs over on the Golden thread. What C U T I E S!!!!! Look like Granny.

What a long and detailed flight Linda. That would be just too much stress for me. Think of all of the connections I could miss. Reminds me of a nightmere or two.

Did not care for the peanut sauce on my wings but liked DH's wings with the Frank's hot sauce a lot better.
