Good morning kids,

Does anybody except me have an entire past life on SLIDES. Here's the prize winning entry on how to deal with them. I'm going to buy a fluorescent "flashlight" and try my hand at the method:

Oh, the pain though of rethinking the ravages of time on poor zip that the slides so clearly show!

Oh well, corpsedom wouldn't have been much of an alternative.

Bob is doing volunteer work at a senior citizens joint this morning and working this afternoon...I'll join him for a sushi dinner after the gym and then we have tickets for a show tonight. Weather is a bit overcasr but in the 50's (pretty good for early February.) I'll probably go into town early and nosy about!
(Funny how I can talk about "going into town" and clearly mean going into NYC...Jersey City has a QUARTER MILLION PEOPLE and most would consider it TOWN enough to qualify

...I guess it's all relative!)

Ok, so we have 2 posts going for the day............

No news on the nutjob in town (the town where I work, not live) so it will be fairly easy to avoid the problem. There's usually guys leaving the same time I'm going out the door at work, so that's the only time I'd be out after dark. My preferences would be to carry a gun, but I don't have that permit.....yet. I always carry my knife.

All is going well here, Bub's kidneys were active 2x last night, so my sleep was a bit broken up but I did total enough to make it through the day well.

Not much going on here this morning. Upper 50's today, then a cooling trend coming in.

I was getting used to the nicer weather! At least there won't be too much more of the cold stuff!

Zip, me too!!! All my kids are on slides and I hate it. I should get them put on a CD but hmmmmm am I that ambitious????

I think I would like to play Tuxracer before I download it. First link didn't work.

Ginny, a knife is better than nothing. I probably fumble around with it and drop it. Guns? I swear they kill more Innocent people than bad. JMHO Glad you have fellow coworkers to walk you out.

Did poorly at bowling this morning. Now, I'm trying to motivate Nick to go get another job. Boy is that a tough job. He has all the good intentions but following through is hard.

Another nice warm day here but tonight it's going to get colder. Tomorrow is a winter storm watch. UGH.

Visited my DD and then my oldest son. Today is his birthday.

G. just went to go do laps around Wally world and found that we have an ALARM in the RAV4. It went off in the driveway and scared the chit out of us. We had no idea it was there. LOL Now to find out how it works.

Roger, I have tons of slides but I'm too lazy to do anything with them.

Where the heck does Bob get all of his energy? Send me some of what he is taking. Bless his heart for volunteering.

Ginny, how come you don't have a pistol permit? It has to be easier than getting one in NYS. I had to jump through hoops, pay a fortune and get every kind of background check from criminal to mental health before I could get one.. Guess I was OK because I got it.

Hope Bub's bladder slows down tonight so you can sleep.

Julie, Guns in the hands of bad guys kill more people. In states where most people are issued permits to carry, it's a fact that crime rates are lower....Except for tourists. They usually can't carry guns so the criminals go after them. This is courtesy of my BIL, a probation officer, who learned that at a conference a couple of years ago.

Nick needs another job? Did he lose the last one or are you wanting him to work two. Two is good sometimes. Keeps them out of mischief.

The molar is still holding fast, the inside is rough and my tongue gets a little sore when talking. Did the pg moms group this morning. Lots of talking for 2 hours. I am always beat after that group. I got back to the office to 71 emails. This has to be a crazy way to live.

What a good Mom you are getting up in the night. Could you restrict his water intake a few hour before bedtime? I know that is tough when the bowl is out for evening and night drinking.

What kind of work is Nick interested in? That would be a motivator. What does he value? fixing cars, anything medical?
Hospitals are bigtime employers, a whole range of work.
