The VERY LAST MVM Thursday (Well, almost)

Good morning everybody,

Loretta,
Your skycam this morning looked a bit of a grayout...I gess it will brighten as the day goes on.

Linda,
For real about going to the deep dark South for retirement...NAAAH!

We are having falling light SLOP with themperature about 36. It's supposed to stop this morning without any accumulation.

MAXIMO Coffee needed this morning. No plans for today other than an aerobic day at the gym.

Susun,
I've started adding my nightly situps in front of the TV again. Doing 50.

Crawling to coffee pot from hard anaerobic yesterday...
"Don't touch my bod, my Achey-Breaky bod."

More Later (Phonecia has 4 flowers...You GO, girl!)

Barb,
Here's a good article from yesterday's New York Times about Colorado water; give a read:

LOVE Thursdays -- it's the last day of the work week for me!!

That article on water , Zip, hit the nail on the head. That's actually the problem -- Now I live over the mountain and am in the aesthetics stage. But it's true that everyone west of us wants water from the Colorado River. We have agreements to ship so much through Utah to CA. Where I live we get enough run-off from the San Miguel river, but over in Aurora (outside of Denver) their lawns will be brown.

I bet Julie is sleeping in anticipating a water fast!! But then, she probably had a better time than the rest of us.

Allergies are weird Linda. Different seasons bring on different reactions. I've had two scratch tests in my life time -- did you know I was allergic to corn products???

Heading for some coffee as I speak.............

Barb

TGIF!

I guess that phrase doesn't work here! Just another....Thursday!

Ouch Roger,
on those achey breaky muscles!
I dont need any coffee today, as I am off work. I have a physio appointment at 1p.m. for my R. wrist then a "FREE" day!

Shawnee,
I know whatch mean bout the repeating Thursday, like a strong cuke!

Barb,
I guess no natchos or tacos for you eh?
Sounds like a good allergy, so you avoid all those nasty carbs!

Hugs to y'all!

Still haven't read all the past threads this week so bear with me.

Now what the hell is going on with Thursdays? You have me totally messed up. I assume this is the right thread for today?

Roger, Phonecia is blooming again? Seems winter is her time huh? You are so lucky. I know my window is too cold for mine. I'm down to 3 plants now. poor me!!

Barb, water fast??? Are you kidding? I love my food and this past week has me screaming for eating right! Man, my GERD has kicked in and I'm the only one I can kick in the a$$. BAck on plan and try and get the lbs off. No fasting though!! Wish I loved vegi's but I don't like them Anyone have any way to fix them that is good and EASY! I add a little shredded cheese to them sometimes and that helps.
Yep, we are going to be in trouble with not much rain and warm temps this summer. Can we have some of your water too???

SuSun, to you too!!

Need to get on the treadmill and get my bu!! off this computer chair!! That will help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi kiddies, It's amazing!! We have SUN again which is almost unheard of in this valley.

I'm off in a few minutes to do a few things and then go see my grand brat, Carlie. Today is her 10th birthday. My gosh were does the time go?

Roger, Tennessee is nice as is Va. but with this asthma, I just don't know. NYS is killing us with taxes.

Enjoy the gym. Wish I had the energy to go.

Shawnee, LOL yeah COFFEE will help that brain. I did a double take at the thought of one more Thurs.

Barb, corn is a good allergy to have, I guess. At least you will stay away from it. Fortunately I don't have a food allergy, just pollens, mold, dust mites yada yada.

Susan, what?? You don't NEED coffee I don't even know my own name until I have at least two cups in.

Don't work too hard.

Julie, there has to be a vegetable or two that you really like isn't there? Turnips, green beans, spinach?? something??? I just like them with butter or occasionally some cooked greens with olive oil and garlic.

More later. I still can't function totally yet. Off for one more cup of coffee.

Loretta, if ya sent me a pic of your plastic bag thingies, I dodn't get it...did see a pic on the site ya sent. Glad your new "tough" shoes are working out so well.

Is your DH up to Boat shopping? That's a lot of work, getting in and out, at the Boat shows.

Yeah, SuSUN, the repeating Thursday... just won't go away...

I took advantage of the warm clim and took DD's dog for a walk, Oliver still wont venture out for long. It was quite pleasant with the SUN and thawing that's taking place. Got some fresh air and it got me movin!

ROLMA at Julie, what the hell is going on with the Thursdays! Yep, we have surely slipped into senility on here!
Julie, sorry to here your GERD is back. You will soon cure that with your expertise.
Sounds like a "veggie challenge" is brewing for the MVM's 5-10 servings a day! Sheesh not sure bout that?
I have never made it but I hear sliced eggplant with parmasen cheese and garlic is tasty.

Shawnee,
Great stuff eating at salad bars me too! Yummy!
Do watch out for those cukes though, repeat just like the Thursday on the BB!

Linda,
I drink gallons of tea though! I only drink coffee on my work days and occassionally at the shopping malls as a treat.
I guess that's why I go at a laid-back-pace, I hate the rush on workdays!
[color=red]HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY to Carlie! /COLOR] I guess the years just fly by. Congrats for surviving a decade Gramma!

Barb,
Are you enjoying your day off? Reading anything good?

Waving again to y'all!

I wonder what tomorrow (Thursday, of course) will bring?

I'm with everyone else...I would eat a salad with every lunch and dinner for my whole life IF SOMEBODY WOULD MAKE IT FOR ME.
I DESPISE making them.
I'm also getting tired of thinking of vegetables; more trouble than my entree.
Second FRESH Alaskan cod meal this week: First was Cajun, second Oreganato...boy, was it GOOD. ($4.99/lb.)

I'm doing so-so with no BP meds for 3 weeks now...strictly borderline at about a 140/87 average. Not wonderful but acceptable. Water weight is stabilizing.

Tonight is SciFi Channel all night...ready for blast off Captain Video (in my best Ed Norton.)

I really like salads too and most veggies. I wish the squashes were not so much work. The butternut and acorn. They are favorites of mine. I nuke them first for about 5 min after putting some knife slits in them. Then cut them.

Shawnee we did not go to a boat show but to a local dealer who has boats in his showroom. Dh cannot walk a lot. Most of the boats there were bass boats with big motors. They could order up something to his liking but the price was more than he wants to spend. He wants a crappie fishing boat which is deeper than the bass boats and about a 90 horse motor. But I am glad we spend some time looking. The one that he wants is still being made but the fellow called today and it will be ready soon. We took the old boat him today for his appraisal and left it there.

Susun glad you had some sun and thawing temps today. Oliver is just too close to that cold ground to be comfortable.

Happy Birthday to your Carlie Linda. Is she your oldest grandchild?

Gee Zip that bp does not sound too terrible high for no meds. I sure would have a stroke without my meds. Hope you let us off of these Thursdays soon.

Julie I guess we sure got you confused just coming back from vacation like that and all those Thursdays staring at you. Glad you had fun and enjoyed getting away for a while.

Later folks,
Loretta
