MONDAY for the MVM

Hi gang,

Just opening the thread...not much on tap today.
Bob is working M,W,F so those will be my HARD gym days.

We bought some foam mattress liners...the eqq-crate type. God are they comfy, I recommend them heartily. THey were cheap at Target ($11 for the Full and $ 7 something for the twin.) The mattresses feel like NEW.

Linda,
The .pdf link to DINOSAURS menu in NYC was geflummoxed and after several notices from Adobe about "bad imagery" I got part of only one page...sandwiches. The location on West 131st Street in Harlem isn't too appealing either...so I'll have to try good old KRAFT BBQ Sauce...which I like.

We're having GORGEOUS but nippy (30's) weather all week...not too bad: bright sun in February is always welcome, even if Punxatawney Phil sees his shadow on Wed.

Guess I'll join you Zip.

Not much on tap today either. Want to make some more bird food. Glad you are enjoying your "egg crate" mattresses. We used those a lot at the hopsital. Has all of that snow melted off?

We had a fine time out Saturday night celebrating DH's birthday. There was a large crowd there at the State Park Resturant too and seems like there were many "Happy Birthday" songs being sung. I filled up on some great tasting roast beef off the buffet. They were a friendly bunch of people. Dh was taken by surprise at his little party. Today is his actual BD and he is wanting to enjoy a fine cigar. We will see.

Will check back later.

Loretta

Loretta,

Tell your DH Happy Birthday for me.
THe snow is mostly gone...it's just the crunch, crunch, crunch of salt underfoot (not a time for good leather shoes!.)
I am going to crash soon...workout was short (1 hour weights, 1 hour pamper) but furious with some high weights...
A nap on the egg crates is in the offing this afternoon.
DInner will be Cambells Chunky Soup (Chicken-Broccoli-Cheese-Potato) with leftover pork cubes thrown in to boost the protein.

Breakfast shake was YUMMY.

Just got home from running around with my mom...after I paid our town and county real estate taxes at the town hall. YIKES!!!...

Took a trip to wally world which was a HUGE mistake. I forgot it's Tax free week on clothing in NYS and the place was mobbed. So was target. Gave up and came home.

Oh dear Roger, sorry the BBQ place is THERE Do any of your local grocery stores carry their brand? They do market their sauce to our local stores.

Those egg crate thingys are nice. We have one that I bought for the pull out sofa and might use it on the futon when my brother comes to visit. I like those high density, memory foam things too, but they are a tad bit pricy.

Loretta, Happy Birthday to your DH. AWW let the poor guy have that cigar. We only live once and if it makes him happy, why not let him enjoy?

Off to get dinner and then hit the shower.
Later gang.

Linda I sure would let him have that cigar. I was all set to get him one too but he seemed to have forgotten about it. He has a rapid resp rate to begin with and I did not want him to have any uneccesary resp problems from a cigar. But if he was insistent I would have gone to get it for him.

He sure had a nice day talking with his kids and received several presents thru the mail and from the florist.
Too bad about that crowded shopping. WoW a tax free day. What is your tax rate there in NY? I think ours is about 6% but not on groceries. They are tax free.

Zip sounds like quite a workout for a fellow your age.

Loretta to your DH !! Linda is right -- we only live once!

Of course in my next life I'm coming back as a lawyer -- I'll make more money also -- I sometimes think I'm Judge Judy!!

Well, no pictures on the trip Saturday - fine going over the mountain but snow all the way back -- sure was pretty even though you can't see too much.

We went to this small mountain town and had lunch -- so much snow it covers the windows, etc. first floor that is - most of the people board up and come back for the tourist season but a number stay -- you can tell, they have a shovel at the front door and a path about a foot wide, five ft. tall to get to the curb.

Tomorrow February already!! WOW!
