MVM Friday, Jan 28

Surprise, I'm up early for a change.

Just put some beef ribs in the oven to cook for at least 6 hrs. on low. I found some lc bbq sauce in the freezer, so I thought I better use it up. It's very easy and pretty darn good. ...

Bottle of lc ketchup
can of Diet Rite cola
spices as desired. I use onion and garlic

Off to get more caffeine.
I can't think yet.

Hi Linda,

Two questions:
1. How low is the oven...
2. How low is it OUTSIDE <brrrr, we have 8°>

Pork roast was really good last night and I cut the roast into 7 pieces and froze 6 separately.

Poker tonight...it's a good thing we play or this pig-sty would NEVER get cleaned.

I'm not going out any further than the gym today.

To all a good day.

Hi Roger,

Oven temp is 250 and the outside temp right now is minus 1.

That must have been one huge pork roast.

More coffee

Yeah, the boneless loin was 11 pounds (and $10.)

I heard that Binghamton hit an all time record for January snow...you must ALL be SO proud!

Today I see the first real ice in the Hudson...coming down nearly the whole width (and we're taling over a mile here.) Two more days of this cold and we'll be able to WALK into Greenwich Village.

Awwww, your grandson is so cute!

Just running through again. Been getting groceries, taking Bo to groomers and then meeting Chucks brother for lunch. Getting ready for our trip to the ocean. Leaving Sunday til Thursday. Nick will be home to house sit.
I bought $100.00 worth of groceries and I only have to fix one meal!!!!
Chuck is making homemade pizza crust and we'll put our own toppings on. They'll be six of us. Renting a 3 bedroom house and it should be a blast.

Linda, that avatar is so adorable! I keep meaning to make that recipe and keep forgetting about it.

Zip, enjoy the poker game. Do you play Texas Hold em??

Hi SuSun!!!

Thanks Linda for sharing your new pic of Nicky for your avitar.
Nice to see him. Thanks too for the recipe for the lc bbq sauce. What size bottle of ketchup is that? I keep trying different recipes and still have not found one I really like except for SWEET BABY RAYS that is loaded with carbs.

Julie have a great time and enjoy the company!!! That one meal won't hold those 6 people over for 3 days. Better make some more. Unless each couple has a wack at it.

Barb you've got to get that Dh of yours to do some of that cooking so he can get it the way he wants it. It find it very hard to do without salt.

Zip I heard that it was Boston that had the record snowfall for one month (not sure which month though. I think they said 4 feet or something like that. Hope you get warmer temps soon. Move phonecia away from the window and keep her warm.

Susun you need to slow down a little and prepare for another trip to Fla. Have you had any more mammorgrams? Has DH's rx kicked in??? You are both in my thoughts.

Attended a funeral today for one of our church gals. She was a double amputee (diabetic) But you would not have know it. She took that wheel chair every and any where. She even took care of her dh after he had a leg amputated. He died about 2 yrs ago. She sure did not let her disability slow her down. She was a "gutsy gal" and one to be admired. There was a large turnout of people. She was 74.

Not much else going on here in KY.

Later

Shawnee get well!!!!

Loretta,

That one meal isn't going to feed us for the whole 4 days!!!!!!!!! Guess I didn't state that right. We are all taking turns cooking and going to the casino one day. I'm still laughing....

Hi Y'all

Julie, glad ya clarified bout the "meals at the beach"...I was thinking at first: Man, that must be some kinda HUGE Pizza !

Love going to the Beaches too...Casinos abound!! Have a super time.

Montana, lil Nick is such a future Lady-Killer! Love all that luxurious hair; he's a doll.

Zip, what a deal on the roast(s)...muy yum. Melt in your mouth???

Loretta, don't ya just feel blessed to have known such a Friend ?
Some people have that "nothing keeps me down" attitude.

Hey to Barb, Jacki, SuSUN

Ginny, extra to you and yours.

Bob and I had cabin fever, so took a ride out thru our local "horse country" today...well, we ran across one of the ugliest "ponies" I've ever laid eyes on...

Be warm and safe, Y'all

Shawnee

There is a town called Pacific Beach. It's north of Oceans Shores. It has a military rec area and they rent out houses and cabins. I think there might even be a motel and there is a RV site too. I think you have to be military, civil service or retired from either. Chuck is retired civil service.

Hey Julie, it sounds like you are going to have a wonderful get away. Hope you have a wonderful time and good weather.

Susan, that's an old picture of Nick. I need to get a new one soon.
Busy, eh? Hope you get some R & R this weekend.

Roger, yeah we made the record snow fall for NY in Jan. ...45. something inches. UGH Now don't you go walking across the Hudson. LOL
Our rivers are frozen too but they aren't nearly as wide.
Hope you win some money tonight playing poker.

Loretta, I'm not sure what size the ketchup bottle is but it's the Heinz Low carb one. Sometimes I add in some SF maple syrup to get that sweet flavor.

That woman is someone to be admired. Rest her soul. It's nice to see some not let a disability stand in the way.

Barb, yeah get your DH to cook. In my next life, I'm not telling anyone I can so they can cook for me.

Shawnee, That's sure some pony.

Glad to see you feeling good enough to post. Hope you are on the mend.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the grand brat. He is the happiest baby I have ever seen. I kind of like him

Waving to Jackie and the other MIA's
