It feels like the twilight zone around here today. Where is everyone and why am I the first one here?

Woke with a strange pain in my rt. upper jaw and can't tell if it's a tooth acting up or my sinus. Darn it all!! This getting old stinks!!

Shawnee, did you take a picture of your new pup friend? It's amazing how dogs just know who likes them and who doesn't.

Enough of my one liners, I need more coffee.

Later.

Me too Linda, ... coffee...........I'm calling you! <wake up Julie>
Trying to wake up, need to get dressed and get to bowling, my favorite day of the week.
Too bad about the pain, let us know if it goes away. You're so right about this growing old. Man, it sucks! But what other alternative do we have????
Keeping you in my thoughts sweetie.
Catch ya later...

Back with our little bit of fog today.

This may change over the day as the fog lifts but this morning it was really socked in.

Hi gang

I'm awake. Been up since about 6. Lots to do for this old retired gal.

Julie that picture with the fog is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I read you comments on the challange over at the Golden thread.
Do you schecule a snack in the evening? I do and find that easier to know that I will have a snack and limit it to one that helps. Guess we all have our weak times. Enjoy the bowling.
I think if you alread have a spy program you surely do not need another.

Linda yes it is painful to get old. Hope you get that pain and the cause of it resolved. Julie's picture looks like a twilight zone. Wonder what problems they were having with the microsoft program? How often to you check for spies? It suggested at 2 am but I turn my pc off at night. It does not take long so I will do in in the am when I turn it on. I am new to this spy stuff.
I used to do a virus scan montly.

Where are you Zip?

Hope the players present a great game for the fans without too much controversy this year with the half time show. Not rooting for any one special. We ususally go to DD for their Super Bowl Party with their friends. We will see.

Will baby sit Leah this evening over there at their place. They will be going out for dinner and to a show. I am prepared and have prepared DH for my absence. He is still recovering from his cold.

Shawnee send that virus away but don't point it this way.
THose nice temps and sunshine with flowers peeking up should be real uplifting. How are your tulip pots. I can hardly wait for mine to present their show.

Later folks

Loretta,
I scan my AdAware at least 2x a week. Depends on how much surfing you do. I also run Norton once a week, sometimes more. My Norton is automatic scheduled.

Hey all,

Just heard the skitter-skitter of Tykes feet which means it's BREAKFAST time LOL. She sure gets into that food thing!

MIL is not doing well, and has said she will no longer accept treatment. There is a conference today, so once we know what will happen we will know what needs done. If she does not do the dialysis, she will most likely be gone within 2 weeks. I don't blame her a bit, if she's done, she's done and she should have the right to go out with as much dignity as she can muster. All I will pray for is that she goes peacefully and painfree. We will miss her, yes, but my beliefs are that we WILL be together again, so it's only 'see you later'.

Other than that, things here are status quo. It's supposed to be warmer here for a few days, and that I will enjoy!

Better run and make us some lunch........

for you and the family Ginny. Those are some very tough decisions to make. Probably the hardest decision to make. Hopefully your MIL can do that for herself without interferrence from family members. Their support is what she needs most. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Julie,

What a GREAT picture of that cat in an asbestos mine

Linda,
I had that last month...I went WHITE with fear that it was either an iffy tooth or worse, my WISDOM TOOTH which lives somewhere near my middle ear. Once the dentist referred to the last tooth in my upper right faw as the Wisdom tooth...I said it was a Molar. Of coursee the guy gave me that "Oh what do non-dentist know about TEETH" look. A couple years later during x-rays, I said take a picture near my right ear. He look aghast when he found MY TOOTH. I just SMILED. I'm planning on the arrival of ONE PERFECT TOOTH on my eightieth birthday.

Anyhoo, to make a long story longer, my pain was sinus from a coming cold. Miserable but at least colds don't cost a $$thousand$$ and up. Pain went away ass soon as I started sneezing.

Ginny,
What is your MIL's major illness? If it's kidney failure, EVERYBODY is getting a new one. A dear friend got a cadaver kidney 20 years ago and is doing just fine. Leads me to believe your MIL is in end stage of something and her kidneys are shutting down?
Has she had dialysis ever before?
(Pardon my memory on this.)

I run AdAware once a week and Norton EVERY NIGHT at 8PM. Yesterday it found a changed boot record. LAST time (and ONLY time) that happened I accepted the change out of ignorance and it was the beginning of a ultimate failure needing a...you guessed it... REFORMAT. Last night I said, Delete the change and keep the OLD boot record.

Did the Mall to find some winter close-outs at Penney's and now down to the gym. First of MANY pork roast dinners tonight.

Ginny, I just want to tell you my MIL did the same thing. She had some serious intestinal surgery and she got infected so they were going to go back and do it again. She had been on dialysis for about 8 years but she decided she had lived a good life (83) and refused surgery and then her dialysis. Yes, she lived another 2 weeks but mostly in a coma. They said she had no pain because of no reflex movement. I hope it all goes well and she gets a chance to say good bye to everybody. It really is up to her if she's in sound mind.

Ginny, I'm sorry about your mother in law. It's very difficult when they get old and frail, but at least she is able to make her own health care decisions. More power to her. Please keep us posted and remember, you are in our thoughts.

Julie, That web cam is great!! I saved it in my "web cam" favorites and check it frequently.
Hope you got your fill of coffee this am. I finally did.

Loretta, what are you doing that keeps you so busy? Sometimes I wonder how I ever found time to work, don't you?

Spy bot and ad aware are run every other night, Tracks Eraser...every night after I delete cookies and files and AVG anti virus runs every morning at 4AM.
I'm still looking at the Microsoft program and trying to decide if I should download it. As I said, some like it and others don't. More research is in order I guess.

Shawnee, you must be getting a touch of spring fever with those warm temps there. Bet you are really, really looking forward to seeing those flowers bloom. Feel better soon.

Roger, so what did you buy at the Mall? Darn it all, don't leave us hanging.
After seeing some good prices on meats around here, I really, really need to buy that little chest freezer for the garage and stock up. Gosh it might even be worth a trip to your area to take advantage of some of the great sales. Hope the pork roast turned out moist and tender.

I would have bought tickets to see the look on your dentist's face when he saw that tooth. Oh that must have been PRECIOUS!

Got right into see my dentist and found that I have a little infection around the root of the tooth I had a root canal done on. UGH!! Antibiotics for 7 days and wait and see. If no improvement, out it comes. Darn it all. Wonder if I can get the money I paid for that root canal back. HA!
