MVM Monday
Good Morning gang o' mine.
We have 11 °F with a wind chill down to Zero...'nuff of that schitt! As the weatherman said: "They can take this snow and SHOVEL it!" (Hey, there's precious little humour on the Wather Channel, so we have to suck the juices out of the few tidbits! )Yes, we made it to the A&P...<remember Zip, that's TWO pair of socks next time for the boots.> My little tootsies went numb! Unfortunately Mr. FISH MONGER didn't make it so we filled up on the saltiest DORITOS I've ever had with Salsa and I gained 5 pounds of water OY, OY and triple OY. Linda, that's quite a heap in your yard..."Gentleman, START YOUR BLOWERS." We watched the first 90 minutes of the 5 part Masterpiece Theater yesterday about life in the Channel Islands of Britain during the Nazi Occupation during the war; I never KNEW about it. It's a good series! BarbCO, Check TOOLS>>INTERNET SECURITY>>PRIVACY TAB, and make sure you have the slider set to MEDIUM Risk. Alternatively, hit the "Edit" button on the bottom of the page and write in any Web Site you want to always allow Cookies; yours is probably not being saved each session. As Frankenstein bellowed: "MUST HAVE COFFEE!"

Remaining Doritos went into the "bird bag." I doubt that pigeons and gulls have much of a problem with hypertension.
We went to Shop-Rite and BJ's...roads are WELL cleared here, almost as well as Manhattan. Anyhoo I got the smallest boneless pork loin...2 feet long and 11 pounds for $ 10.89. I'll cut it into 4 or 5 nice roasts, Saran, and freeze them. Can you BEAT that deal. I tried to price BJ's Heavy Cream but there was no price on the shelf...I guess they didn't want stroke victims cluttering the aisles. I DID spot the butter at $3.99 for ShopRite's brand...that would be the day, I'd ever pay THAT. Forunately butter and heavy cream have been off my shopping list for over a year. I guess the strict Atkinsers are having a RUN on butterfat .Trying to muster the energy for the gym! ![]() Last edited by zip2play : 01-24-2005 at 11:25 AM. |

Maybe that will work. You need to know your product code of authority. It is 25 digits and might be located on the side of your computer box somewhere. I found mine toward the rear on the right hand side of the housing box. Last edited by Loretta V : 01-24-2005 at 05:29 PM. |

I'll try those directions on my computer at work -- they re-did the whole system!
Doritos??? What DO they taste like??? Well, it seems like everyone is dug out by now -- Linda, are you? It doesn't seem to last long and the TV does pile it on -- my sis in Chicago said that just north of them they hardly got any snow. So, what will it be?? Phil. or New England?? Surely you non-football fans have a "hint"!!!! Later, Barb |

Good evening gang.
We are all dug out after that piddly 13.4 inches of crap. Cold as a witch's ^#* right now but should warm up to the 30's by Wed. Back to plan B... Talked my brother out of coming in March and we agreed on the last week of April. At least there shouldn't be any spring blizzards then. Ticket prices are really down considerably. Hey maybe we should all fly someplace, eh? Check out ITA search engine. It checks all of the major airlines and gives you the best prices. It's much better than Orbitz. Roger, you sure do find bargains on meats. Wow!! Store brand of butter is back to $2.29 lb and Land of Lakes brand is $2.49. Just got some heavy cream at $4.29 OUCH! Loretta, I've been looking at that Microsoft security and just don't know. On a "senior" computer bb I visit, some have had problems with it. Julie, are you STILL on the treadmill? Off to catch up and check on motel rates. Later Barb, yeah the weather channel people do pile it on but hey, they need the ratings. |

Hi Y'all
Here in the Banana Belt, AKA Pacific NW, courtesy of the Pineapple Express...we continue the 50-60° stuff. A look in the backyard surprised me: English Daisies and Croci blooming...waaaay too early. Our NW mountains could sure use some of that excess snow the NE is (not) enjoying. LOL, over 13 " of sneaux is piddley????????? Heavy cream, pint size runs bout $2.39 here, Butter $2.49 lb. Unless I'm baking, they last us about 10 days. Have a backlog of $ale butter in freezer. Been mostly house-bound since onset of virus/crud...cabin fever forced a trip to riverbank park on Columbia. Got lucky, a Brindle Pitt was playing stick-fetch with his Mom. She allowed me to get in some Pup Time with him. To all, stay warm and well. ![]() ShawneeLast edited by shawneesioux : 01-25-2005 at 12:54 AM. |
