Monday on Maintain Mountain - 1/10

So........the football season has ended so quickly for me!!

My daughter called and said "What do you do when both of your teams have lost"? Take up another hobby??

Ginny, what's your take on Randy Moss?

All of these jokes do keep us in good humor and I KNOW I have most of those mentioned.

Weather report: rain!!

Later, Barb

Stiff as a board and creaky today<owww.> So I guess I know I'm still alive.

Good morning Barb, good morning kiddies.

Jacki, I've had many a day like the one you described with wheels spinning in every direction...signifying NOTHING! I HOWLED at the old ladies with TATOOS. At least they have SMALL ones. Some old men will just be an even dull Navy Blue all over.
"See, that WAS a ship; and THAT was a dragon...yeah, they sort of mixed together there and got connected where I had that melanoma removed. Oh yeah, and that was Jennifer Anniston...she's long dead now!"

Ginny,
Good news on the meclizine. I'll check my local haunts, just to know who sells them because I think I have 60 in the larder. If I got dizzy enough to need them all, I'd eat a bullet!

Awww Linda,
I'm sorry your 'puter is going from bad to worse, but that's almost always the case with these spooky problems...and we NEVER find out what caused them! Someday you'll have to take 2 valia and learn the loveliness of the C: FORMAT /s/v command.

More later, I think I heard the last perk...well, gurgle!

OK Westerners, how's your weather. The Weather Channel make the West seem pretty WILD. So far so good here, maybe an inch of sneaux total all season and only a couple dips below freezing. Today cloudy in the 40's. A good day for Can-Can!
"Now ShopRite has its Can-Can; everybody Can-Can..." and I forget the rest of the jingle. Must be old age because I've HEARD the goddammed thing ten thousand times.

Later, gaters.

The WEST is getting hit daily Zip. We have rain/snow mix here in the valley, but "feet" of snow in the mountains. Roads are closed and avalanche warnings here in this area. Reno and that area is really getting socked. Rock slides, flooding, people killed in avalanches (you know, those stupid enough to go skiing or snowmobling in the high country).

Lost my car keys this morning because I put them in a different place!! The joys of getting old!

Mornin' y'all,

All's well here, not much going on.

Barb, stay safe! Sorry your Denver lost, but I just CAN'T be sorry the Packers did As far as the Randy Incident, I don't have a problem with it. Goofy stuff like that on the field, especially in a game that was extremely intense doesn't bother me. I know the GBP fans were giving him and the rest of the team a hard time. What irks me about players is when they do drugs, get DUI's, or do anything illegal off the field, and they they are excused because of their fame. Thinking back to when Moss came into the league, everyone was down on him from the get-go because of his wild side and non-conformity and they will never back off and just let the guy be. I think he's grown up quite a bit (off the field) over the years. He is a very intense player and it shows. Heck, at least he only did a pretend moon! IMO it was just a 'neener-neener-neener' manoever.

Zip, did you work out hard yesterday to get the 'creakies'? Not sure which manufacturers of meclizine are OTC, but I sure am glad it is now!

Well, all, off to lurk for a bit. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi

Zip why have you given me this cold? Actually I so happy that the cough was not from the Ace that I will take the cold. Did you hear that Martha Stewart's team in prison lost the holiday decorating contest? Some other gals one. That must have been a blow for Martha. Didn't see any pics of it though.
Creaky hope you get it fixed soon.

Linda hope that pc does not need too much of a transfusion.

No football comments here but those players seem to demand a lot of money for their skills. But some lack intregrity and seem to think they can be excused from wrongdoing because of who they are. Those bad apples always seem to spoil the bunch. Like the greedy heads of the big investment companies. Hard to trust people any more.

Jackie I'll vote with the gal who took her raw eggs home. Savvy girl.

Julie my pansies came from Meri over on the Golden. She posted them a while back and I stole them.

Hey going to try to give blood today and not mention the cold or blow my nose too much. According to the Red cross site you can give blood if you have a cold as long as you are not on a bunch of rx or feel poorly. We will see what those gals say.

Later
Be careful and enjoy life.

Shawnee and anybody else, I NEED HELP!!!
I tried installing the Service Pack 2 last night. I have XP, cable set up. It was 2 1/2 hours later and it the bar hadn't moved in over an hour so I quit installing it. Don't know why it was taking so long. I had installed it last fall and then Linda scared me off and told me to uninstall it. Now, do you suppose I didn't have all my programs shut down or do you have a clue why it wouldn't finish? I know you installed it last Oct. about the time I did the first time. Do you remember how long it takes? I'm scared to try again as when I quit, I screwed up a lot of drivers trying to shut this thing down. Alls well now...I think! Chuck just reinstalled my printer.
Should I just try again?

Loretta, sorry Zip gave you that awful cold!!

Hi y'all

Just a quick check in, to say I'm still around and kicking...

LOL, I saw the Moss incident on the Sports News...thought it was maybe not in great taste, but innocent enough...no skin showing

Julie, I cannot begin to be of any help with Puter stuff, being of unsound mind and body.

I installed it late one night, fell asleep...so don't know how long it took.
Here's some help/clues

Ohhh God, ShopRite was a nutsy mad scene. I got most of what I was after.

Ginny,
I stopped at BJ's Warehouse for my milk and a roasted Roaster. Scoped out the DRAMAMIN LESS DROWSY. It was a 3-pack of plastic dispensers with 24 meclizine each. THat's 72 pills for $6.90. Can't beat it. No I can't blame the gym on my creaks...yesterday was a lollogag, but maybe the day BEFORE!

Ohhh Julie,
Whenever you put in a major section of Windows or I.E., you really are wedded to it for life...pulling it out only messes things up. If you are still running OK today, I'd leave well enough alone. The only way I deal with major Windows problems is, you guessed it, REFORMAT. Once it's farschmeldt, it's FARSCHMELDT!
If you ever do a format THEN install SP2 right after Windows XP and your modem software. That way it will work exactly the way it's supposed to.

Loretta, Please consider my cold an outright GIFT, most definitely NOT a loan. Oh dear, I saw a couple pictures of Martha in prison in PEOPLE MAGAZINE, that I;m sure she'd like to buy back! Hint: prison food must be VERY good!

Sunny here now and almost 50.

Julie,

A reformat wipes your hard drive clean, removing EVERYTHING, operating system all data, all viruses, worms, and accumulated errors. When you start from scratch and reinstall everything, all is as it was the day it was shipped to you, maybe better if you leave out some programs you don't use. It's like a new computer is reborn.

Yeah Julie, Whatever you can't get back online or you don't have a disc for (but then that's almost everything) you have to put on a disc and load back. Address Book and Internet FAVORITES ar crucial.
Nope, Ginny and I have Windows ME and we NEVER have to download SP2.
