MVM Monday
Good Morning Everyone,
OK, Time to get the bull by the horns and get the weight moving down those last 5 pounds. Calendar 2004 saw me drop the 20# that I'd picked up after my ear surgery in 2003 and its resulting antibiotic reactions and 6 weeks of prednisone. I'm pretty sure that 205# is where I want to be (with weightlifting) so it's time to get the last 7 pounds that I need. I've been remiss on my calorie counting for the last 10 days and overdoing EVERYTHING. Nice, but now it's OVER! Shawnee, I like the Indian with a horn avatar. More when I get the old head screwed on. Crawling for JAVA!

HAPPY MONDAY MORNING
Back to work for me!! It's always difficult until one gets there. Will find out if Miss Meth made it through the holidays and if my new teenage mom comes back to school and has her mom take care of the baby and my paranoid psycho is still on meds!! ZIP -- count those calories -- keep a journal -- and exercise!! do you still have a membership to the gym? out the door to the salt mines for me!! Now, if it was a gold mine I could make some real money. Will check on everyone else later! Barb

Getting here early today waiting for the rain to stop so I can get my walk in. Got to see DS and family yesterday for a little while. DIL is sick with some virus. We did not stay long but did get those presents opened up. Long enough to get some shots of Leah.
![]() Zip you know how to get those #$% pounds off so get to it. 5 pounds sometimes feels like a mountain. I like your African Violet avitar. Beautiful picture. I like changing the avitars and looking for new ones. Barb hope you are making GOOD money at that job. Sounds on the very stressful side to me. Will be waiting for an update on Miss Meth and the new mom. Ginny glad to hear that Bub is making progress albiet slow. It sure is some strange weather. More warm stuff this week. Susun thanks for the news on DH. When will he see that neurologist? Guess he is not able to go to work for now. Hope they are able to give him some help. It does take time to learn stuff in the computer. There are so many capabilities that we probobably never even touch on. Back later folks. Loretta |

Good Morning Maintainers!
Yes, I agree, it does seem like a mountain to get going agin! Together WE can lick it! Wow, you guys have been busy with the new avatars! I am just catching up to winter and you are giving us all that gorgeous eye candy, the cuddly teddies and now the "action" horn player! You have raised the bar agin! Loretta, Gorgeous pic of Leah, look at those eyes and that expression with her hand gesture is just priceless. She looks like a proper little lady! DH is waiting to hear, probably today about an appointment with the neurologist. In the meantime, he is home and getting bored and a bit down grieving the loss of his mobility. We are hoping that it is just temporary. Now how did you post a pic on the BB? Yes, I am sure there are lots we dont know, that we dont know about the puter stuff. Roger, Just put your great mind toward those 7#s and you will do it! Do you want to think up a New Years challenge for those of us that indulged! The cheese one was a good one but may need several and the energy expending too!DD had bought me a pilates ball with those resistance rubber things for my arms, so I gotta watch the video and give that a good try too. (One of my Christmas gifts) Barb, Poor you! I feel the pain of this mornings return. Yes I too wish it was a gold mine. I am just panning for rocks I think! Shawnee, Glad to see ya posting agin! Cool avatar! Wavin to y'all. SuSUN Last edited by SuSUN : 01-03-2005 at 08:58 AM. |

Good morning everyone,
Boy it's dreary here today. Rain but no snow yet. From what the local radio news said, we are going to have and "event" Wed and Thursday. That could mean anything from 1" to three feet of that white crap!! I'm running off to take my mom to Sam's club and make a stop at Gander Mountain Sporting Goods store. I hear they have some pretty good sales going on. Roger, YOU CAN DO IT!! That last 5-7 lbs will come off quickly. So are you going to apply for SS on line today? I'm anxiously awaiting news on how difficult it is. Barb Miss Meth, new mom and paranoid psycho. Ah the old days of the work a day world. Can't wait to hear all about your day. Loretta, oh my gosh Leah is getting so big!! My goodness.. Glad you got to see your DS and family but I sincerely hope you didn't bring the "bug" home with you. I don't think I'll ever learn about this darn computer, but one of these days, I'll really have to try a reformat if I can't get damned "Don" to get his butt up here. This seems to be working somewhat OK except for the Bitmap crap and far too many error msgs. Susan, wishing your DH the very best. Hopefully the neurologist will have some good news for him. Congrats on getting that new avatar up. I like it. No really new avatars for me because I can't save anything as a jpeg, so it's old stuff for now. Shawnee, it's great to see you pop in. Oh and thank you for the instructions for making the book marks. I'm going to give it a real good try. Ginny, continued good thoughts for Bub. How is our guy doing today? Julie, what's up with you today? Waving to everyone else. |

Hey gang,
Still nice and warm here. Can't remember another January where I've been able to sleep with the window open for THREE NIGHTS in a row, and maybe MORE!!! I could get used to this! Saves us a ton on heating the house and gh too DH had to move the riding mower, and actually mowed a little strip when he had it fired up. Still have green grass, but it's not actually growing.Bub's doing about the same. He seems happier now that he can be out with everyone, and we have Bull stay in the back room with him at night so he has some company. Unless the gang gets really excited, they are very good about not being to energetic right by him. Loretta, Leah sure seems to have grown a lot! What a cutie! Did you get your walk in? Barb, hope everyone did well over the holidays, especially Miss Meth--poor kid hardly stands a chance with a home like that! Keep us posted! Susan, back to the mines for me today too. It's going to be a long week after having so much time off recently. Always a challenge to get through January, but with our mild temps now it will be a bit easier! Linda, ewwwwww on the white chit headed your way. But, you never know! It may escape y'all. Seems like if you're prepared for it, it's never as bad? We've done reformatting very few times on our system, for us it's just a disc we pop in and it wipes the 'puter clean. So long as you save everything you want to keep to disc before you do it, it's not a problem. Then you have to reinstall any programs and/or new hardware. It can take a little time, but once it's done and you have a 'new' machine, you'll be pretty tickled. You will have to re-download any programs you got from online, so if you know what you want to put back on, make notes as to what they are and where you got them so you can find them again. Zip, ok--get the last of the weight off! You know what to do Will you re-up your membership to the gym when yours expires?Well, all, off to get moving for the day. Everyone have a content day!

Well, I'm hurting tonight and my first thought was not to post.
My DD was in a car accident this morning in Minneapolis. She was hit by someone running a red light. She says she's ok but tonight her neck is hurting, etc. The car is totaled and it's just a vehicle. She saw it comming and sped up but was hit on her side in the rear door. I told here she must seek medical attention even though she doesn't feel hurt. She has a doctor appointment for tomorrow and I told not to sign any insurance forms until she sees a doctor. Nevertheless, it's difficult to take when you are at a distance. Barb |

OMG Barb,
you must be so very worried. I'm so sorry about your DD. Hopefully she will go and get immediate medical attention. It's so very difficult when you are so far away. Please keep us informed.Ginny, it's amazing how animals just know when to be careful around others. I'm sure they know not to bother Bub too much. How amazing they are,eh? Hi ya Julie. What's up? Ran into Don the computer guy today at Home Depot and he called tonight. Said he will be here sometime tomorrow, yeah RIGHT! LOL We shall see. Guess he thought everything was OK since I hadn't bugged him too much after I did the system restore. I'm off to bed. Night all. |

Linda, I'm doing fine. Just hanging.....relaxing....
I did go for a walk the last 2 days and am taking it very slow. No repercussions from it so will increase the mileage tomorrow. This retirement is not what it's cracked up to be I'll tell you. Now, my son has asked for a favor, picking up DGD from preschool. Only til May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't they all know, we should be enjoying our retirement years? Guess we are just too available. Have thought about moving to another state though. Oh well, just call us "grandparents van pool!!" Between driving Nick to school and back.....now Madison from preschool. What would I do without them? Need to take up Shawnee's new resolution!!! Just say "NO!!!!!!!!"
