Cheeseless Friday for some MVM's

"Where's the beef?".....to Hell with THAT quote. "WHERE'S THE CHEESE?"
(How's that for a gentle reminder?)

Show last night was REALLY good...Fritz Weaver in TRYING, the story of the relationship of Francis Biddle and his new secretary in the last year of his life. I've never seen Weaver so wonderfully, cantankerously, superb. (Price was right too.)
Newark Museum after Xmas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Biddle

After the show I had two ALMOST-midnight snacks. Need you ask? 2 ounces of sharp cheddar (220 calories) and 150 grams of RICOTTA...(260 calories.) Dinner was LASAGNA! 'Nuff said?

Bob off on his own today so I'm going to do the Mall and a hard chest and arms workout at the gym. I'm proud of yesterdays 35 minutes on the stationary bike with heartrate between 110-120 almost the whole time.

Later gaters.

Hi to all and Happy Friday, in about a week it will be on the countdown for Christmas. I feel so relieved that I am not cooking. Not even sure what we are doing except for Christmas day when we go to DH's daughters in the city.

Zip glad that you enjoyed the show and got to see it for the right price. That is some workout on that bike at such a sustained high heart rate. I would be on the floor. WTG that burns more calories too than prodding along. Do you get a calorie used readout on the machine?

Julie hope that injection helps your knee. Do you take any glucosamine. DH takes that for his arthritis, but does have pain some day smore than others.

Got my packages mailed off without too much of a line at the post office. Now I need to wrap some for the locals.

to Ginny, SHawnee, LInda Jackie Lurkie, Susun.

Hope I can get back here later today.

Loretta

I'm not having any withdrawals YET -- because I'm afraid to tell you two about it !! And......I did not go hog wild on cheese last night either! Chciken tonight with salad.

I wish I wasn't cooking for Christmas -- it's such a waste of time when one could be having fun. I cooked for Thanksgiving and that was enough of an experience. But we have company and............ the paty season begins!!

I hate exercise bikes but you sure did a great workout Zip. Do you read , watch TV, or stare out into space during that time?

Loretta, did you know about the fire in IL with UPS and all of those pkg. burning? I think they were coming this way. They say that Monday is the last day to guarantee anything -- as if they ever do!!

Later,..........

BARB

Hi every body,

We picked up the Rav4 today. Not bad at all for a used vehicle. It's very clean and everything works. LOL I'm just a little concerned about all the computer operated things in it though. It's supposed to "know" when the road is bad and turn on the 4WD. It does have a button to do it manually in an emergency ONLY, but one is not supposed to use it very often.

Tonight we stopped at the new Gander Mountain Sporting goods Store and WOW!! it's quite something and HUGE. It even has all those REAL stuffed animals and fish hanging on the walls. After the holidays I'm going to go and check out some jackets, fleece shirts and foot wear. It's too busy now to really poke around.

Roger, SATAN, eh?
It's about time you began to enjoy some of the shows you and Bob have been to. You can't beat the price though.

Hell my asthma meds get my heart rate up near 100 and I don't have to get on the evil stationary bike.

Loretta, Glad you don't have to cook for a crowd. At this stage in our lives, we shouldn't have to. It's time for the younger crowd to step up to the plate and take over.

Julie, You and Roger are hysterical!! At least you got your last "cheese fix" in before midnight.
It's not so difficult. You can substitute something for it. Raw vegetables dipped in ranch or some natural, fresh ground BP maybe?

Susan, Babysitting AGAIN OY! You sure started something.
It's darn cold here too and will go down to 11 degrees tonight.
Watch yourself on the road tonight.

Barb, OMG a fire in Ill. that burned up UPS packages? Wow!
Poor people are going to be stressed out wondering if their packages were involved.

I'm with you, I HATE the exercise bike. It sits in the basement utility room and G. hangs his jackets on it.

Waving to the rest of the gang.

Hi Y'all

Congrats Montana, on your new zippy rig! Hope it behaves well, and minds ya! Heheee, all the computerized stuff in the newer rigs is what made Bob procrastinate for so many years...the very idea, some damned chips taking the mechanical aspects right out of his control.

ExCheeseHeads....Best wishes for your continued successes. What are the Rewards and Penalties y'all plan on inflicting/awarding each other???

I will be cooking the majority of the Christmas feast. Have already forewarned everyone it will be laid -back buffet...and I plan on hitting the wine jug...(about 2x annually, I imbibe)

DGBrat abd her DH just returned from a few days at the OR coast. BurkPup boarded at day care. I visited him there yesterday; fell in love with about 20 of his playmates...who can resist moist noses, brown eyes, and poochie smooches?
GBrat Kaci returned this AM, in time for us to spend the afternon together, our annual honor to her Mom (passover date). We shopped and ate and gabbed. Our local Bon Macy's has a temp Outlet store, some prices at 1/2 off, then 40% off the half price.

Ginny, thinking of you and Bub...... and

Loretta, I'd say that you did a year's worth of cooking at Thanksgiving...all that company, coming and going.

SuSUN, enjoy your time with Ella, and be SAFE coming home!

Hey to Zip, Barb, Jacki.

Everyone, hope ya find some Contentment and Blessings in your weekend.

Shawnee
