Monday Dec 6 for MVM

Mornin' y'all,

A bit moist here for us, will have to check the weather to see how long this will last! Impromptu creek in pasture, so I know we got a bit of rain last night!

Julie, to Nick! Hope he enjoys his day...last of the teenage years Also hope YOU enjoy the day too....just roll with it and you'll be fine!

Shawnee, so where do you get that 'roll of tp'? I know some that need it! Those poor dogs getting poisoned--those responsible would definitely need God's help were I to catch them! Hope they are stopped soon! We're quite protective of our gang, I've even stepped outside with an attitude adjuster when some teenagers were aggravating them in their yard from the road.

Zip, hope you get some heat loving downstairs neighbors soon! Cold floors are no fun (know the drill, our house doesn't have a basement so the rugless areas get pretty chilly) and your supplemental heat source is worrisome! Just be careful! Do your Christmas cacti blast blooms like Phonecia will?

Loretta, how is your visit going? I bet y'all are having a great time since you're not lurking here with us! Enjoy!

Linda, ick yuck on the sneaux! I bet you're glad to be fully retired now and don't have to worry about getting down that hill! I've heard cats are quite fussy about their humans going away for a couple days....glad my pups aren't! They are excited to see us WHENEVER we are around them!

Barb, sure glad you like your white stuff on the ground, I'm glad we escaped the worst of it by moving here. Not much for winter, I reckon! Do you plug up your vehicles?

Susan, glad your DD and her DH are getting out a bit, I'm sure they need some 'adult socialization' time! Now you'll have to make sure and plan your excursions in advance and let her know YOUR scedule too! Enjoy your grandma time--we know you will!

Well, all, off to lurk for a while, then start my day. All be well and content!

Morning Ginny girl!

Yep, Nick's 19th birthday is today. He has group tonight so dinner will be about 7:45 and rushed as he did ask his mom and little sister to dinner. Sis usually goes to bed by 8. Keeping my fingers crossed the evening will go by smoothly.

Zip, the light therapy so far is flunking. I don't think it's helping one bit. Our weather has been kind of miserable the last 3 or 4 days though. Very dark and rainy/cloudy. Maybe I need to be more patient!

Not much decorating going on here yet. We did buy the tree yesterday and it's sitting in a bucket of water until the weekend. Made a list of things left to buy for presents. At least I know what to get so one good day of shopping and I should be done. Just not sure about stocking gifts yet. DH is impossible to buy for. Ha...he probably says the same about me. Got the cards done yesterday. So I'm up on everything.

Have to work a long day for me today. Probably about 6 hours! Now don't laugh...that's all standing in a small area. Ok, it's a not that hard but tiring on my back.

Catch ya all later.

Honies, I'm home.

My sister left this morning. We had a GREAT time together. She sewed up a Titan's scrub shirt for me for my DIL for a Christmas present. Plus we did the craft show. I made a whole $2.00 after paying the fee for the table. We had fun and the ladies there were so accommodating. I have a pic and will post it later.
I sold 3 "burp" cloths and 1 baby wash cloth with rattle. I spent a dollar on a bracelet for my teen age granddaugher. My sis did better and sold about $25 worth of sewed items.

Julie hope Nick has a super birthday party!!!! What happened with his girlfriend situation? Sorry to hear that the light is not helping you. I have not started to decorate or even shop for Chirstmas yet. I will get a move on soon. Our tree too is out in a bucket of water.

Ginny we have that moisture here too. My leaves need burning but they are soaked. Lots of rain days but warm temps. 60s today. Glad it is not SNOW>

Shawnee LOL on that tp. I might need to buy several rolls for gifts. Sorry to hear about the poisoing of those dogs. They deserve more than that toilet paper.

Linda when do you see the doctor again? Something like that can consume us with worry.

Barb send me some of that Christmas Spirit please. I need to shake a leg and get items in the mail too for about 11 people. I have lots of craft items I need to pass along. I won't have to worry about that type of present for a few years.

Susun thanks for that quote from Tom Brokaw. I like his thinking on that subject. I love retirement.

Loretta, gee did I forget to tell you about the gf? She came home and guess is staying here for the moment anyway. She too is coming for dinner.

I sold at craft fairs too a few years. I loved it and saw so many of long lost friends but not much profit in it. DH made beautiful boxes with lids. All different shapes and inlaid other kinds of wood. One time I made $100.00 but then it dwindled and I bagged it. Besides if he HAD to make them, it took the fun away. LOL

back Loretta and anyone else who has been gone!!

I made lap quilts once for a craft fair for the church and never again. I would rather make some homemade pies and make money for my effort.

We have to work up until Dec. 21st for break -- then my DD flies home and is bringing "someone" home for a few days. Gee whiz, I hope it's not some homeless person. The last time this happened (without knowing the person) it was a guy whose parents had kicked him out of the house.

Linda, thinking about you and the rest also!!

Hi everybody,

Ginny, YIKES I guess you did get a lot of rain there. Keep your feet dry.

We got about 2 or 3 inches of the white slop. Rain tomorrow will wash it all away.

Hey I can pick you up on the way to Shawnee's to get those dog @%$#& . The three of us can kick some scumbag butt.

Julie, my back would KILL me if I stood in one spot for 6 hrs. OUCH!

Hope that Nick's birthday party went well and the gf decides to stay around. That should make him happy.

Loretta, back....We missed you.
I will be calling my primary doc tomorrow to ask him to change the Atenolol to a calcium channel blocker. Seems that Beta blockers are contraindicated for people with asthma or those taking ibuprofen. Crap!!

Glad you and your sister had such a good time so it really doesn't matter how much money you made. How about a picture of the scrub shirt?

Shawnee,
back at ya.

Ginny and I will be more than happy to come and help with the Indian Justice for the scumbags.

Barb, LOL don't ya love it when kids want to bring some "stray" home? Hoping it's just a potential mate and not a stray.

I'm with you and crafts. Can't do it and would rather bake and sell that.

Thanks again for everyone's concern. It is wearing on me but the more I learn, the better I feel. What will be will be, eh?

Dr. Roger, you can step in and give your opinion on BP meds. I have asthma and use a steroid inhaler as well as Provental and notice that some of the BP meds cant' be used with one or both of them. Any ideas?

Hello Gang!

Brrrrrr! It was a cold one up here today! Lots of frozen stuff in between the white stuff! DD and I did manage to get out for a brisk walk with the dogs and Ella well wrapped up in her stoller and see through windbreaker over top. I guess we had some much needed fresh air. The air is so dry in the heated homes now.

I have filled the Rx for Tamoxifen today, not started it yet. Many side effects, hot flashes, clots, weight gain to name a few. I may wait till after the holidays to experience all that it has to offer! LOL!

LORETTA! Good to have you back with us agin! Sorry the sale didn't do well for you.
I have many a time like that.

HAPPY 19TH TO NICK!
Julie, sending positive vibes for the dinner party tonight.

Linda, that is a good saying, "What will be, will be!" I have used it often.

Ginny, Love the "attitude adjuster" for those teenagers.

Barb, Hope you get a positive friend at your dinner table.

Shawnee, Thank you for those sites. Now I just have to choose one and manouvre it over to the BB!

Roger,
Where is the doc today?

Wavin to the rest of the gang!
