SATURDAY for the MVM

Hi gang,

Just opening the thread. Not much NEW has happened...except another el-cheapo Xmas cactus has just bloomed...beautiful flame red.
I hope Phonecia appreciates the electric heat...we certainly don't!

Welcome back SHAWNEE. I put the Boiler Bay pic on my desktop. It's beautiful!

Linda,
Looks like you got the cold record on the board with your 20° overnight...we did 34°F but it will be warming up to the 50's...and the heaters will be GOING OFF!

Pancakes this morning...yumm.

So are we all taking our SS at 62?

Later (when something HAPPENS!)

Hey gang,

Just checking in, working at being lazy today! I think this will be a predominantly hibernation weekend I think I need one!

Good morning gang.

Yes Roger, it was darned cold last night but we didn't get the show showers predicted.

We want more pictures of your Phonecia and the Christmas Cactus PLEASE.

I have always intended to take my SS at age 62 because that's three more years of collecting. It seems logical since none of us know how long we are going to live, and I want SOME of that money. Especially now.
So are you signing up Dec. 31?

Hi Ginny, Get some much needed R & R this weekend.

Off to get more coffee and wake up.

Later.

Hi Ya Gang!

We are covered in the white stuff again this morning. Looks like it is here for the duration......April/May??????

IPS was down this morning, recording on the help phone line saying they were fixing it. Up and running now, so catching up.

I played Christmas music this morning and started my huge pile of Christmas Cards, double load cuz of the UK ones.
I managed to mop all my floors this morning, so nice fresh floors at least. Did some windexing too, so some shine around too.

My doc's visit yesterday, went well. I had an U/S on the suspect, will know the results in about a week. Radiologist has to read it along with the Oncologist.
Doc gave me a script for Tamoxifen to start on 10mg and then increase to 20mg after 30 days. This seems the less drastic of all my choices and is temporary and can be reversed if I dont like the side effects......which are, thrown into menopause as it blocks the estrogen! Evening Primrose Oil here I come!

Roger,
I saw Liam Neilson (sp) on the Leno show last night re: promoting the Kingsley movie. It showed a short clip, looks interesting. Glad you liked it. We will probably rent it when it comes out on video. DD asked me if I would like to go to see Neverland, just her and I. Have you heard anything about this??

Linda,
Glad to see you up and at 'em this morning.
Glad you mentioned the pension stuff. Up here we have the optiong to take it early at 60 and take a small penalty or take the full pension at 65 and get more. Sheesh! decisions eh? I would love to take it at 60 and then work part time too!
Hope all is well on the health front for you.

I have sent a little pic of Ella to those on email.
Barb, sorry I dont have yours.

Wavin to y'all.

Loretta is right ever since I "passed the babysitting test" she has us booked every Friday and Saturday. Sheesh! I am not complaining YET! The novelty is still there, so it is my pleasure!

Hi Susun,

FINDING NEVERLAND garnered good reviews ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308644/ ) but the thought of Peter Pan crapola would keep me from the theater. See KINSEY instead; you'll both like it immensely.

Linda,
As ordered (pardon the lack of perfect focus...a quickie)

Howdy!!

About the ss question....dang, I haven't even thought about it yet. DH hasn't taken his but with civil service retirement, they reduce most of his ss. I won't get enough to worry about. Hmmm what to do? I got til April I guess.

All I did was try to change my email on profiles and I had to get re-activated!!

We went to DH's Xmas party and then stayed to dance. They had a live band (since it was saturday night) Dancing IS exercise! Haven't done that for a while. I rec'd a real nice centerpeice and a fleece cover-up for the couch or wahtever.

We are still cold and the white stuff stayed and now it was snowing on the way home.

SuSUN -- I have AOL email and it probably won't let you in -- Julie gets in and she's NOT SPAM!! Sometime I don't recognize the email and just delete.

Better get to be before it's too late.

Susan, LOL once the kids trust you it's going to be babysitting for a few years.
I had to put my foot down and only do it on occasion now.

Go for the earlier SS pension or what ever it's called in Canada. I hate the thought of leaving all the money I put in.

Oh Roger, that Christmas Cactus is lovely. Wow! Thanks.

Julie, I'm going to apply in March and take the SS early at age 62. Think about it. We need to apply 3 months before our 62nd birthday.

Barb, I have a yahoo and hotmail account to receive the e mail from the bbs and friends and also my out look express which I don't use too much. OE doesn't always cooperate. Don't blame you for deleting because of all the viruses out there.

Snow expected on Monday. UGH!!

Oh heck, Just heard on the news that there is a wolf that escaped from our local zoo roaming around. LOL Hope people keep their kids and small animals inside.
