MVM FRIDAY

Good morning,

Finally on...Symantec decided I needed a new "redirectroe update" to continue getting my updates. Took several reboots and some considerable time. All AOK now.

Barb,
I take 100mg. CoQ10 because I've taken Lipitor for the last 5 years. THe manufacturers of one of the statins (Merck, I believe) has even petitioned for a patent to allow CoQ10's inclusion with it's statin. If you're not taking a statin for cholesterol I wouldn't spend the money: it's not cheap.
I take 250 mg. Mg++ in a MgO that looks to be about 500 mg total weight. You never need to worry about taking too much considering a dose of epsom salts contains several THOUSAND mg. of magnesium and only results in a QUICK BATHROOM VISIT!

Linda,
Thanks for the nice link...LOTS of info in one place, always nice but ya GOTTA love lines like this:
Quote:
Q. Does the effectiveness of Co Q10 matter if it is taken in capsule form or if emulsified in an oil like alpha tocopherol. I read an advertising leaflet that said not to waste money on CoQ10 tablets or capsules, because they cannot be absorbed into blood stream.
A. There are probably differences in absorption between different CoQ10 products, and perhaps oil emulsified products are better absorbed, however, most CoQ10 supplements contain 30, 60 or 100 mg which are dosages far greater than normally needed by the body. Hence, even if 100 percent of the CoQ10 is not absorbed, practically speaking it should not make too much difference.
I would think that being deprived of 100% of the dose would be a SOMEWHAT serious matter!
Can you send me a snap of your scan showing the appropriate "bulge?"

Bob is taking the day OFF (From me: he's doing shows, movies, galleries...gotta, LOVE the energy of these young kids) !
I am going to have a HARD muscle day at the gym...one day a week I like to p[ush the envelope (a little.)

Phonecia BLOOMED last night...I hope she appreciates how much it costs to run the electric wall-heaters. As long as it's over 32 and not TOO humid, the unit will stay in HEAT PUMP mode but it will freeze up if we go lower...the resistance heaters are 5000 Watts each...that's $.60/hour EACH. Too much: that gets the $300 electric bills! THank God for electric blankets!

Later kids.

Hi to all

I am here. My sister arrived yesterday and we have been catching up and getting ready for our craft show on Sat.

Linda you sure are in my thoughts and best wishes for that "time bomb" of yours. Waiting is so difficult to do. on the way.

Will probably not be posting all that much for a few days. We will see.

Hi Roger and Loretta,

Loretta, I guess you will be busy with your sister.

Roger, enjoy our Pump the Muscles day at the Gym. I should get back to that stuff.....(guilty).

Linda, do check in when you can. Sending positive thoughts and tender hugs.

TGIF! Whew! I am always glad when my work week is over. I do have some stuff to fiddle around with at home but I can take my time over that. At least I dont have to be up in the dark at 6:30a.m. with the alarm! Then, getting ready to look suitable for the public.....sheesh, that takes quite a bit! LOL!

I have a doc's appt. this aft at the Breast Clinic, gotta keep on top of this thing!

Babysitting for a few hours, over supper tonight while they go out for a short supper, they will be back for 8:30p.m. Tomorrow, they have a Christmas Party from DSIL's work. I hope they can dance and enjoy themselves!

I remember last Christmas DD was just 3 months on the 25th and just a bit unsure to start to tell others. Whew, all that is over with now and Ella is here safe and sound. A true Blessing to our Family!

Later,

SuSUN

Hi everyone,

Roger, how about a picture of phonecia's new baby.

100 percent of the CoQ10 is not absorbed, practically speaking it should not make too much difference.
except to our pocket books.

Loretta, enjoy every minute of your sister's visit. We will keep the light on for ya.

Susan, glad you are keeping up with things at the Breast Clinic. Keep us posted.

Hi ya Julie, busy, eh?

Waving to Barb, Jackie, Shawnee, Ginny and lurkers.

Back later. I'm off to hit the shower and do more research.

Hey, Guess who???

I'm HOME, and glad of it...lovely to go away for a bit, but missed my bed and my cat....and Y'ALL !

Been on the North and Central Oregon Coast...also two Indian Casinos mixed in with the sightseeing. (the answer is NO, we didn't win big)

Time for we sun-deprived spirits to head 'em up, move 'em out to the warm 'n bright climes of Ginny's Glass OrKid Patch.
HANTA YO, as the Lakota would say..."let's split."

Geez, Montana...
to the 10th power (make that to the Highest Power!) for correct Dx and fix..Bless your boney butt.

Loretta, hope you and DSis are having a ball together. What are y'all making?

Zip, ALL of Phonecia's parts are lover-ly. Good luck with her blooms.

Oh, and THANK YOU ALL for the sweet Anniv. wishes...greatly appreciated.

Hey to GoddessGinny ( what's check-in time at t the greenhouse?) and HappyGramma SuSUN, and SneauxQueen Barb, and extra hugs to Julie (Sometimes better than meds)...and Jacki (I have a new seed catalog with exotic stuff I've never seen before! You'll love it)

I'm putting together a sack of stuff for our local Walk 'n Knock: the BoyScouts will canvass the neighborhoods tomorrow, collecting for the Food Drive. I am all for "food for the body, food for the soul"...so I add in some other things, like fragrant body wash, etc.
Another thing I'd kinda let slip my mind, til I read an Editorial in the paper: some of our Elders in the Nursing Homes have NO one to buy clothing for them. (families all deceased, or don't give a crap)...and they live on exceedingly limited resources. Time to clean out my bulging closets....
I sometimes give clothing to the Homeless Shelter, but the forgotten Elders don't get the donations like the Homeless do.

(hmmm, off my soapbox now; guess 'tis the Season that's goosed my "giving" gene.)

Have a stupendeous (?) and content weekend.

Shawnee

Hey y'all,

Welcome home, Shawnee! I know the feeling, nothing like your own bed and critter(s) to snuggle with!

Work has really been busy these last couple days. Pretty well drained here, glad it's the weekend!

Not much else from here, but hugs to all!

Welcome Home Shawnee!!! Gosh we missed you.

OMG what a lovely spot you were in, but I know how not sleeping in our own beds is. UGH! Poor Chuckster must have missed you as much as you missed him.
Is he acting "mad" at you? Mine always ignored me for a few days after a trip away. Funny and strange critters they are.

Yeah, those poor nursing home residents need more attention from the public just as much, or more so. Kudos to you for remembering.

Ginny better look out. She is going to have a greenhouse full of guests, eh?
