New Maintainers - Wk of 11/28

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I am at 107.25 this morning. I am glad I took off the extra lbs before Thanksgiving and I plan to go back down to 104 or 105 and maintain that until Christmas. I ate only legal foods for Atkins for Life at Thanksgiving but some of the foods were heavy on sodium so I picked up some water weight. I will do the same for Christmas. Our church has a live Nativity the week before Christmas and we have cookies/cocoa/coffee/apple cidar for those who stop by. I plan to make some sugar free/low carb cookies. Vickie

I am back to 126 after a temporary increase to 127 yesterday. I am amazed how stable my weight is even though calories can vary wildly from day to day.
Having started to log in fitday again, I became concerned that I do not eat enough protein. I average 55 grams and I don't think this is enough so I have started with a daily protein drink. I found one with 42(!) grams/20 oz from netrition, but it is so sweet (Splenda) I have to mix it with water. Maybe a good thing, I managed to drink some 80 oz of water today in addition to the drink! These drinks are expensive though; I'll try to find some powder instead.

WOE: Lost it with Atkins / RUNNING to keep it off!

Great job you guys!

I am holding my own at 98.5............the turkey trot on Thanksgiving was a great way to burn those calories!! Then I ran another 6.2 on Saturday which gave me 21.2 miles last week! WOOHOO!

I never cease to be amazed how easy it is to maintain if you exercise enough! Gotta love it!

Still gnawing away at Thanksgiving leftovers........!

Mariasol, I use whey protein powder sometimes in a drink but mostly in low carb pancakes to get the extra protein.
Betty, I am still eating turkey but that's ok because I really like it. You are amazing to get in all that running! No wonder you are so small!!
Have a great Tuesday. Vickie
