Hi Susun and Ginny

IT feels so good to be comany free and not having any meals to plan. My oldest son is here from Ill helping son #2 work on the new house. They helped me pick out my christmas tree this am so we can get it in a bucket of water for now. We had an enjoyable breakfast out.

Good morning...... roads were bad this morning, too bad they didn't cancel and I could go back to bed and read!!

Add me to that list Loretta:

I will stick to basics -- till Xmas, absolutely no cheesecake!!

I would like to get down to 120, but am afraid to weigh from this past week because my favorites are tight!

Advice, Julie?? Sounds like you got some good stuff there... I ditto!! I don't know your family situation at all, so......... sounds like listening is the best way to go and then distance yourself or you lose sleep!!

Back later......

Barb

Hi Susun, Ginny, Loretta, Barb and the nightowls.

Me too on the GET GOOD CAMPAIGN. I did a test with 3 weeks no BP meds (went to the 140's/90ish). It is soooo easy to drop weight that way, but now I am medicating for the last 10 days and the weight is piling back on...that SUCKS BIG TIME!

Pulled a costo joint yesterday reaching up to the spider plant...in bed the whole day. THise rib joints can REALLY hurt: I couldn't even get my pants off...missed the play as a result .

Nice afternoon at the pool with my new portable CD player.

Tonight is my big STARGATE festival on SciFi...I love Monday TV!

Making burritos tonight (Los Campanas brand gussied with salsa, cheese and olives.)

I too am in the Challenge to drop a few lbs. and not gain. Unfortunately I don't even care right now. I went to the mental health Dr. today and she put me Wellbutrin and hope my RLS will tolerate it. I think she said it wouldn't make me gain weight either. Also told me to get one of those lights for SAD. I guess she thinks that might be contributing. I'm really in a funk right now. Worked 6 hours and that helped get my mind off family. I need to give myself a swift kick. Dammmmm

Zip, darn ole medications anyway. But if you need it, thats important.
Don't you realize age has a way of keeping us imformed about our bodies not cooperating with the brain. Wow, did that make sense? Just ignore me, ok?
Burritos sound so good!!

Barb, don't ya hate those lbs. creeping up on us? Best to get it off before it becomes a "real" problem.

SuSun, nice to see you early in the morn....

Loretta, are you going to STAY company free over Xmas?

Ginny, thanks for all the help. You are quite good at counsoling. Ok, get over to our Challenge on the GY. We won't tell how young you are... Maybe if you did get on the scale, it would shake you up!

Where is our Linda???
Later...

Good Evening All!

Sounds like we are all up for the challenge!

Everyone is almost here and accounted fer!

I am proud of myself, I did keep my nose to the grindstone today to get the work at home done! Self-discipline is key. I REALLY LOVE WORKING FROM HOME! So I want to do a good job to keep them happy.

Julie,
That Wellbutrin is a mild one from what I have heard, and hope it does the trick for you. You deserve a break!

Roger,
I hear ya on those Meds. DH has taken the coenzyme Q10 and is not taking his other meds till he gets his bloodwork back on Thursday.
Sorry you missed the play. How are those intracostals today?

Ginny,
So glad to have you back with us. I hear ya on the few llbs up.

Loretta,
Wonderful quotes to live by for the next few weeks before Christmas.

Barb,
Yeah, the worst days on the road, they seem to carry on as normal. Then, some days are not so bad and everything is cancelled.

Waving to Shawnee, Jacki and Linda.

Finally getting here. Mom and I spent the day trying to get my daughter's financial house in order and prod her into getting some much needed psych. help. Both her primary care doctor and her Drug rehab doc want her to see a counselor, preferably a psychiatrist, to get that ADD, depression, anxiety and what ever under control.
She dropped a huge bomb on me about what caused her drug problem and the resulting mental/emotional problems. Poor thing, at least now I understand.

Anyway, Sorry about the extra lbs some have gained over the holiday. Ya gotta keep it under control because it's just not worth it to indulge in those tempting treats and gain those lbs back. You have all done so very well and should be proud, but knock it off, OK Keep those hands out of the cookie jar.

to all who are suffering family and SAD problems.

Running off to catch up with a ton of e mail.
See you later

Hi Y'all

Brrr, cold here with a few sneaux-drops mixed in the rain.

Barb, guess your winter wonderland roads are a price to pay for the beauty of that country. Our price here is lotza rain and sometimes flooding, but worth it.

Ginny, read more confirmation re your Mom's need to avoid sugar: new AARP bulletin states Researchers at U of C, 'Frisco reports post meno women with diabetes or elevated blood sugar levels were almost twice as likely to suffer dementia or mild cognitive impairment as women with healthy BS levels.

Guess I better jump on the BE GOOD Wagon too...pants feel tight in the waistband...

To ALL, hoping that family situations improve, and contentment is just around the corner. Hoping for a brighter New Year for all of us.

Shawnee

Forgot to mention. Doc said for me to get a SAD light as it may be contibuting to my depression. Anybody have one?? Roger did I remember you have one? Where the heck can I get one that doesn't cost so darn much. Looked on ebay but am afraid to buy there as I have never even seen one before. Lots of different ones to pick from too. So any input would be appreciated.
