RUBY MVM TUESDAY
Shawnee,
I am going to say a prayer to SAINT EXPEDITE this very moment. Maybe I'll wait a bit because I'm typing now...no, then we're going museum hopping. Well, I'll say the prayer tomorrow,,,or the week after that. By Christmas FOR SURE! Hi Everybody, Like I said, a BIG toddle around Manhattan culminating in either Chinatown or Indiantown. It's a gray day but not cold (mid-50's) so it should be pleasant. I skipped gym yesterday and today so I owe BIG TIME tomorrow. Damn trigger finger isn't going away by itself and I'm getting tired of"clicking" pills into the toilet. I'll have to get a cortisone shot soon...certainly by Christmas...or Easter!! Oh, and there's a tooth that I've been "having done" SINCE January! Julie, Get on that boat's internet connection and fill us in on the island native boys! Loretta, So that's 7 gigabytes? free. That should be more than enough. Linda, Any sneaux in our cards? Have a nice day kids.

Hey y'all,
Last couple days rainy here for us, but better than the white stuff! Staying busy here with mom, work and the regular stuff, so not much 'puter time lately--also doing without a whole lot of sleep since I have to be up earlier and make sure showers are taken etc. *yawn* Mom goes home on Friday, so this weekend will be hibernation. Not much else going on here......T-day will be the oh-so-traditional lazagne, per DH's request , so I will be doing the cooking, but not near so much as if I were to do a turkey. Maybe after The Day I'll see turkey breast on sale and will pick some up!To all, hugs and a content happy day!

Hi to all
Yes Zip that is GB free I guess that means gigibytes. You could get that finger fixed. Have you checked out the scope procedure for it? Thanks Shawnee that Saint Expedite sounds like the one I am looking for too. I might change my mind about that tablecloth. The pattern I found has you making squares and them putting them together. At least that way if I screw up I won't have yards to rip apart. Ginny you sure will get some sound sleeping in after your mom goes back home. Hard to juggle both. Lasagne sounds fine. Do you make it low carb? How?? Hi to Barb, Linda, Jackie and Julie. Best news I wanted to tell you is that I got an old barbeque grill for free. I just asked the neighbor if I could buy it from him. I want it for my spring flowers. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Company has arrived early. Will check back later, I hope. Loretta |

We are home!!!!!!!! Our trip was filled with lots of activity thank God. I took the stairs instead of the elevator but my knee screamed at me by the end of the day so did take it down when possible.
We spent most of our time with my sister and niece. She had her 75 th birthday on board and has a bad back now. Already has had knee and hip relplacement so she was slow. She is almost 14 years older than me so we never were very close but this trip has helped bond our sisterhood. If nothing else, I'm grateful for that. The first day at the airport our flight was cancelled so they flew us into another airport and shuttled us to the one we were suppose to be at. It took 12 hours and should've only taken about 6. Grrrr The cruise was wonderful of course. Buffets and restaurants everywhere you walk. To get to the pool from our cabin you had to walk right through one and it had a dessert bar within my reach. OMG you can't imagine how hard that is to keep on walking. I am human gang!! I admit I ate waaaaay tooooo much and some bad things. I'm just not going to beat myself up about it though. I was up 5 lbs. but I know darn well most of it is water. Besides the FREE food everywhere there was entertainment a couple times a day, music in several lounges, dancing, severl pools of course, casino, which I did leave some money for them!! We were at sea a total of 3 days but at ports the rest. My sister loves to shop so we did a lot of that. Bought myself a fire opal ring which is gorgeous. My brother and wife liked to snorkle and lay on the beach. We did that one day. Took tours of the towns. In Acapulco we saw some cliff divers, diving 115 feet into the water. Unbelievable to watch. I didn't lay in the sun much. I'm chicken to get skin cancer!! LOL We got together for diners with everybody, all 13 of us!! We spent most of the evenings with one couple we grew up and went to school with. Trying to spread our time with all of them was difficult at times but we were never bored!!! There is so much to do even on the ship that wwe now know what life in the fast lane is. I loved it but sure am happy to be back home. Guess I'm just a homebody and thats ok. Sorry I have to run this morning gang. I sure did miss all of you. Oh yeah, they had an "Internet Cafe" on board but it was $4.50 to log on and 65 cents a minute. I decided to not even try it. I get carried away and I really would've been broke by the time I stepped ashore. Haven't read all the posts yet. Been running in every direction since Sunday night. Had to drive north about 1 1/4 hours yesterday to get the dog and then I worked one of my acounts for a couple of hours. Today is bowling, massage and groceries. Was thinking of doing my other account but think i'll skip it til tomorrow. Gained 5#'s but already lost 1 1/2 of them. Am sure most of it is water but I'm back to cutting it waaaay back. Will be back to my original very soon. Catch ya later...

YEAH! Welcome Home Julie! Glad you had a great time and that you kept active. I have so much catching up to do. I lost another 1/2lb today, so glad about that! This WOL is amazing when you apply it correctly eh? Back to the Salt Mines tomorrow after a long furlough. Wonder what is waiting for me! A zillion emails for sure! Went to the Mall with DD this aft and Ella. It was so wonderful to be Christmas Shopping with them. The Christmas music made me so emotional but happy emotional now! There was always so much saddness for DD at this time of year for a few years. Now all the lights and tinsel shine much brighter! DH went for a doppler on his legs today. The tech said nothing wrong at all. So we are relieved to hear that. DH still has weakness in his legs behind the knees. Must be his immune system still fighting the shingles and pneumonia. I hope his doc orders some blood work soon! Ginny, Enjoy that Hibernation! You sure have earned it! Do you heat the GH. Parafin heaters are fairly cheap to run but can be a fire hazard. I am sure Gerard can tell us all about the safety precautions. Roger, I guess the gym must be paid! Double time or double quick? Sounds like a delightful day for toddling around. It was around 6C today up here. It is about 3C right now. Waving to Y'all! SuSUN ![]() |

Hi everybody,
Spent the day getting out my 6 ft., skinny, alpine Christmas tree and checking the lights. I'm ready to downsize trees again. LOL Holiday prep wears thin the older I get and I wonder why the hell I bother. Lights are pretty but..... Roger, there is a possibility of snow around here this weekend. So far they say it could be either rain or snow. Hope your toddle around Manhattan and dinner went well. Ginny, You must be looking forward to lots of R & R this weekend. Enjoy every minute of it. We cooked a turkey today so will have some leftovers for a few days. I really, really want some Little Venice Spaghetti sauce on either spaghetti squash or maybe some Dreamfields pasta. We shall see. Loretta, so the company arrived early, eh? Hope it isn't too stressful. on the free BBQ grill/plant stand. Can't wait to see some pictures of the finished project this spring, in about 4 months LOLJulie, heck a 5 lb gain isn't bad at all for all the temptations that were around. Congrats on getting off that 1 1/2 lbs. The rest will be easy. It sounds like a wonderful trip and yes we all want pictures and the web site. Shawnee, LOL on St. Expedite. Maybe this old agnostic/ heathen will take up praying to see if it works. Waving to Barb, Jackie and Susan. Like my new holiday card? ![]() Last edited by LoveMontana : 11-23-2004 at 07:37 PM. |
