Good Morning MVM!

It is quite cool and blustery up here today! Just a few chores on the agenda for me today. I have a pedicure this aft at 1p.m. a gift from DD, it is an hour long with parrafin wax treatment. I only wanted my nails painting! Anyhoo, I expect I will enjoy the treat and pampering.

Waving to y'all as you arrive here today!

I hope to check in later.

WE HAVE SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!

Linda that rash looks horrible. Poor Gerard. Have you tried a baking soda bath for him like they do for chicken pox?
How about witch hazel. I used that on my poisen ivy. I'm sure you two have thought of about everything. Thanks for the pic.

Barb hope you enjoy your weekend and can get some relaxing time in. Leave that work stress there. Will there be a foot ball game to watch?

Susun I didn't know that a pedicure went up that high. Yikes!!!!!
Is that wax going to be hot I'm not sure if I would find that relaxing. Enjoy it if you can.

Julie rest up today and get rid of that bug.

Going to plant my tulip bucket today. Dh has gone fishing.

Later folks,
Lretta

Sun, enjoy the pedicure. I'm with you though and just would've liked a manicure.

Barb, ok where and what time do you want to meet? I'd love a long shopping spree and lunch. Does the body/mind some good.

Loretta, glad you have sunshine. Ours is suppose to break through this fog today but not yet.
How's DH doing?

I am resting today but first I had the Dr. appt for my knee. (also got my flu shot because of my asthma)
Knee was xrayed and twisted and tuned every which way. Yep, off to see an orthopedist for probably arthroscopic surgery. Not sure is they will first do an MRI or CAT scan or not. Hopefully it will wait til after New Years. I'm limited to walking short distances and start taking some Glucosamine. Not too bad a DX though. Bones look good. Just some degenerative arthritis which I can live with now.

I think I saw Roger posting on another bb so guess he's ok. Maybe he got sick of us for awhile. I hope not, after all, look at us...such nice looking gals!!!

Julie thanks for the report on your knee. When is your appointment with the orth man? I guess you will know more then about what comes first. Did you doc reccommend the glucosamine? DH takes that for his arthritis.

Shawnee glad you got a chance to see your DS and his DD for lunch. Got my tulip bucket planted but am worried about the squirrels getting them so I covered the pots with netting. Pic later.

Loretta, did you get my email about my sore arm from the flu shot?

First I have to wait for an authorization from Group Health and then I can make an appt. So it'll be awhile and this ortho is a busy man.

Hi everyone,

Just read Beget's post and e mail about her test results. It seems that her rash problems were a reaction to steroid meds of all things.

Roger sends his apologies and will be back when he can.
Roger, remember we are concerned about you and love ya We will be here when you are ready to come back.

Barb, so what are you going to buy this weekend? Retail therapy always makes me feel so much better.

If they can't find out what's wrong here, we will go to Philadelphia to see Begete's specialist. However, I do think Dr. Dhillon will get to the bottom of it. We are just waiting for the next batch of blood test results which should be here on Monday.

Susan, hope you enjoyed the pedicure and pampering. Sigh... I could use that right about now. Nothing like a good foot massage either.

Loretta, you have SUNSHINE Lucky girl. It was rather cold, rainy and so very windy here today.

Which Hazel, eh? It may be worth a try. It will burn like the devil though but that's better than the darn itch.

Julie, lol why are you whispering about your flu shot? Asthma can be a deadly disease so there is no shame in getting that very necessary vaccine.

Oh dear heaven. Sorry about the up coming surgery. I had extensive arthroscopic knee surgery after my ski accident and got to watch the TV monitor. Yup, I refused a general anesthesia.

Shawnee, my goodness. I never thought of Maalox. Anything to stop the vicious itch is worth a try. Thanks.

Glad you got to visit with your DS and his DD. So tell us about lunch. Where did you go and what did you have.

More later.

I wispered because so many people waited in lines t get their flu shot and some never got them. I don't feel bad though. My cold settled in my voice box again and am so relieved it didn't go to my lungs. Am coughing some but it's dry. My coice completely gave out today so had to write my messages to the Dr. He got a kick out of that. I feel so much better today.

Checking in like a good maintainer here!

Yes, I loved the down time having the foot massage, soaking, filing, clipping, parrafin wax, moisturizing and finally painting.
I got my fingers done too! So it was an extravegant use of time spent on pampering but now as I get older I am thinkin it is time to do that more often.

Time to slow down and smell the roses, instead of wake up and smell the coffee!

Julie, I too got my flu shot yesterday. I always take tylenol every 4hrs for the first 12 hours, then it settles down. You can even pre-medicate so you dont feel the arm problem. Sorry you were feeling the pain
I have looked after patients after the knee Sx and hip Sx replacements, just a couple of days finding your way and good physio exercises to get you up and walking and you will be a new woman; so quick! It is probably even quicker these days.

Linda, DH found relief for his shingles itch from Cortizone-10 anti itch cream, 1% hydrocortisone. He has all kinds of stuff on Rx that didnt hold a candle to this cream. Hope it helps Gerard.

Shawnee,
Glad to hear you are one of his fav gals! You are one of ours here on this BB!

Roger,Is doing fine, so not to worry. He still has his sense of humour and has sent me a couple of emails. He will probably settle down soon and return to the fold!

Loretta,
The wax was warm to hot. I could stand it and it was in plastic bags and wrapped with towels for a warm soak, a nice treat.
It just made me slow down, much needed.
Good for you planting tulips. DD has had a couple of hundred waiting for us to plant. We have always had good intentions and then got too busy. It is far too cold now.

Barb,
Yep, TGIF and time for YOU! Let us know what you found while practising RT at the Malls.

Waving to y'all.
