Mornin' y'all!

It's a good day here!

Shawnee, that pup is flat out adorable! What a mess! He's really in the running with ours for the most 'rotten' baby alive!!!

Zip, forgot to mention, I don't know how much a beef actually costs, since we had this one coming to us as part of a trade for a cow our friends wanted when we quit keeping cows. If memory serves me correctly, the going rate is a dollar a pound live weight, plus you pay the processing fee.

Loretta, no line for me either at our little polling place--local community center. I was in and out in about 5 minutes, including paperwork! I left for work about an hour earlier than normal just in case there was a line, but no problems here!

Barb, your temps make ME cold, and it's 60 degrees here!

Julie, have fun doing your change over, but don't let them tire you out too much.

Linda, any word on G's new dr yet? A new perspective?

Susan, congrats on another group completed. What is the recidivism rate? Does your DS in FL know that he can get a 5 cent a minute rate to call Canada through MCI? A friend of ours was calling a lot to Canada for a while, and he found out that for a nominal monthly fee (like $5 or so) he could get that low international rate. Think it was just for US to Canada tho.........

Well, all, off to lurk for a bit, then get movin'......hi to our lurkers!

Had a busy day here for a change.

Babysat with Leah for a while. She has been sick again and will have to see an ear specialist. She might need to have tubes in her ears. 2 weeks before they go. She also has had a fever and a rash. Viral, contagion of some sort. When I got home I went straight to the shower for decontamination. Her rash is fading though and she was cheerful and ready to walk with me holding her hands.

SOOOOOO glad that the election is over with. But not even sure I want to watch the news tonight. Enough is enough.

Later folks

Loretta

Hi Guys!

I was at the Salt Mines today! The usual tiredness has overcome me, my eyes are burning looking at the computer all day.

It was sunny but very cool today. DD was out around 1ish this aft and said it was gorgeous sheltered in the woods. She walked her dog and the baby in her stroller on her own for the first time today. Yeah!Sh She is getting there. The rountine is great too.

Shawnee,
LOVE THAT PUP Does he just pose like that for the camera or do you have to coax him with treats? He looks a natural. I love the middle pic in his fancy collar!

Loretta,
Good for you babysitting today. I have not had that privilige yet. Just in the house while she goes down the basement for a work out. Too bad for lil' Leah those pesky head colds, that ear ache is not much fun either. I had lots as a child. Wonder what the rash was? Did it look like measles, chicken pox? They all have to get thru them sooner of later eh? Sending lots of and Kisses!

Ginny,
The recidivism rate is around 55% but then they go at it again and eventually end up quiting for good. WE have our smoking rate down to 16% of the population now. Just 5 years ago it was 22%, so we are making progress.
THANK YOU so much for that info on the 5 cent rate. I have sent the info to DS. Not sure who he is with. I know he never takes the time to check the best deals cuz he is always so busy with his store.

Roger,
Hope you join us again sooooon!
I will try to gather that information that you requested.

Will try to relax this evening, hope I dont fall asleep in front of the TV cuz up again at 6a.m tomorrow. Then that's it for this week!

SuSUN

Zip, we are going to miss you!!

SuSun, you sound so tired. I hope you take care of yourself. One of these days you'll get to babysit little Ella.

Loretta, my oldest son had ear tubes put in 4 x's. Very unusual as he was 10 I think his last time. Small head and smalll estachun (sp?) tubes. That fever and rash seem strange. Fever yes, but what's with the rash. 5th disease maybe?

Ginny, I guess the changeover or just plain working has tired me out. Started getting a sore throat on monday. Today it's hard to swallow. I need to eat MORE fruits and vegi's!! Not push myself and just work my 2 little stores. I've been on the go every minute and it's coming to a stop. So please no bashing....I know I've been overdoing.

So rest I'm doing ......
Hi to the rest.

The rash was viral and contageous. I am thinking more along the lines of scarletina or measels, but not the chicken pox.

Susun you will get a chance at it and the first time is a little scary.

Julie I have not heard of 5th disease. What is that?

Loretta, I think I remember correctly as it's just a high fever and a rash. Very contageous but not serious. Viral too. I think that is the name of it. My DD had it when she was less than 1 year. I'll see if I can find some info on it.

Here is a link to it.

Good evening.....

The audit interviews went very well (for me) and my "idiot" went and lied and I kill him the next time I see him!!!

We have the results tomorrow and should know what we need to improve and what plans need to be written. But all in all, it was an enjoyable day.

I've heard of fifth disease -- rash, etc. Take care!

Shawnee, what neat pictures !! What did you do to have him pose like that ? treats? back massage? a run in the field? a new bone?

Julie, we all know our bodies and what we can take and when to rest!! I constantly remind my DH because he goes on so little sleep and I need more!!

Ginny, we are in the typical mountain climate - cold nights and warm days. It's been about 22-30 degrees at night and close to 50 -55 during the day. It always makes clothes choice difficult!! I just wear a sweater or jacket that I can take off.

Loretta, ear infections (as you well know) are common at this age -- but keep good records because it might be important down the road if she has problems with hearing and auditory processing in school. Good records of time and duration are so helpful.

Jacki, Linda, where are thou?

Zip, take your time alone and lets hear from you soon. I hope it's not the election that has gotten you down -- it's not worth the stress!!

Hi everyone, Haven't been on the bb at all today. Gerard is having a hell of a time with this new "rash". it almost looks like Chicken Pox and itches like hell. Poor guy. He's on all kinds of antihistamines and prednisone which isn't doing a thing.

Roger, I sincerely hope every thing is OK with you. Are you feeling sick or something? Please don't stay away too long. We all love ya.

Barb, glad you survived the feds. What do you mean your "idiot" lied?

Oh Shawnee, I loved the pictures of Burk too and forgot to mention them yesterday.

Ginny, Oh yes, I remember buying beef on the hoof years ago and almost forgot about the processing fee. Can't remember what it was per lb. back then though.

DH is having an awful time!! Hopefully he can get back into see my allergist/immunologist tomorrow.

Loretta, poor little Leah. I wonder why these little ones get so many ear infections. Nick is on his second in a month.
Hope she can avoid those tubes.

Julie, I've heard of 5ths disease. Two of the girls had it when they were younger.
No bashing hun. Just rest up and do what you feel like doing.

Susan, I hope you get to baby sit soon. It's really fun once in a great while.

Going to go catch up a bit.
Be well everyone.

Hi Y'all

Oh, MY! ....so many ill ones...Blessings to the lil GrandBabies, how sad for Loretta's Leah and Montana's Nick...and Julie's big Nick...
and poor Gerard with his damn rashes!

Zip, hoping your time away is not health-related for you and/or Bob.

Second night of below freezing for us, daytimes of around mid-fifties. Did a tiny bit of yardwork today...had to putt right along to stay warm.

Thanks Y'all for the praise of spoiled rotten GrandPup Burk...he's just a natural ham and showoff. The pics are his response to being told how precious he is...he understands flattery, that's his reward. (Burk's mommy took the pics at her house, he does love his mommy)

Jacki and I grabbed a few minutes of Gab time this afternoon...she brought me a sample of her stew (YUM) and she tried out the Pumpkin cookies...

Barb, glad your interview went well...maybe the jacka$$ will eventually get tripped up over his lying lip.

Ginny, how's the floor project coming along? Ready for a house party yet? (maybe a virtual one?)

SuSUN, hoping you and Loretta get lots of time with those precious lil gals.

To ALL, sending positive thoughts for HEALTH and contentment.

Shawnee
