VOTING VINTAGE MAINTAINERS

GO VOTE!

Lines still small in lobby....gonna vote as soon as I dress.
Gee, can anyone guess my vote?

Barb,
I will be nailing "95 THESES" to your front door for selling those indulgences without sending a kickback to the Vatican...I'll be dressed in a brown wool robe<itching> and go by the name Brother Martin.

Ohhh Susun...I think I got a Plenary from old Pius too!

We are going to do a Wall Street area 2 mile toddle (some nice big junk stores and a great Department Store called Century 21) and finish with a linner at Wo Hops in Chinatown. If any steam left we'll do the lower Bowery where they have a JILLION wholesale kitchen supply outlets with the most beautiful cooking stuff on the planet...do you think we could haul a Viking Stove home on the PATH train? Maybe we should settle for a $600 MANDOLIN slicer...yeah, right?

Julie,
Cutting the off vessels that feed a tumor seems to be the next level of cancer treatment. It seems so logical really (and not as invasive as hacking and chemo!)

Taking no BP meds this second week now is letting me eat more without gaining and more importantly, giving me SCADS of energy.
BP is running 135-150/95-95, a level that's not too good but within my realm of tolerance. Let's see what 5 pounds more loss does.

OK...off to the electronic voting screen without a paper trail.

Morning....

The country is one step closer to being safe -- I voted at 7 am. The first one in line -- I must say that 22 degrees is cold.

Zip, after you burn your books, get summoned to Rome to appear before the Diet of Worms -- go after one of those former nuns!!

Julie, I never heard of a procedure like that -- sounds like it should make sense. Starve the tumor - isn't that the same idea of giving up sugar so that cancer cells will NOT to grow?

Julie, since you have been so nice to me while losing weight, I'll put in a good word for you with the "woman" up above!!

Linda,

Congratulations on the early vote. Things are NUTS her...90 mimutes in two lines snaking there way out the building into the garden.

All done though. Judging from the chatter, Hudson County will go 90% for Kerry.

Gonna sit for awhile to build up energy for the long walk after a 90 minute crawl...fun people though!

TWENTY TWO DEGREES We've got 60°. I guess that means we have parka weather a'comin'.

There will be INTERESTING sstories on the news about today's balloting accross the country. I'm sure some areas are facing chaos!

Mornin' all,

Looks like rain/storms for us today. Had a long night last night--worked till 1:00 this a.m. The 3rd shift loader was out and the other 3rd shift guy has virtually no training on what and how to load out on our trucks. Ah the joys of longevity and experience. I really don't mind helping out, and I've had good success as a 'trainer'. The hard part about last night was that I'm not yet acclimated to the dang time change, so my body was saying 2:00 a.m. while my brain was saying 'it's not that late!'.

Julie, haven't heard of that proceedure before, but sure hope it works! Don't you dare catch that cold so close to your cruise...suck down that vit C, get lotsa sleep and fresh air, and if you have one, run that air purifier!

Zip, we vote at a local community center, and it's never busy during the day when I go. Will have to leave early as I have a few other errands to run, but first stop will be the VOTING BOOTH!

Barb, y'all sure got me tickled with the Catholic stuff, even if I don't understand half of it LOL How did things go with the inspection?

Linda, sheesh, poor G! Hope this next dr. can figure something out! Down here we don't have to go through emissions in our county, just go and spend the $24 for tags and away we drive.

Loretta, I need to get my eyes checked too. Been a number of years between exams, and I will probably need bifocals now but we'll see. Just gotta get the $ set aside and DO IT. I reckon I'm really fortunate with my BP, even at the dr. it runs only around 90-100 over 60-70. The higher numbers if I'm stressed out!

Becca, sneak in as you can At least you have internet access at work LOL I have to do all this from the house!

Shawnee, Jacki, Susan, and all, have a wonderful content day! Off to lurk for a minute then get this butt in gear!

Thanks for the good laugh Barb! You and only you lost the weight!!

Glad I'm going to be gone all day as I'm not sure I can hack turning on the TV. Want to know who won (maybe in 6 months it'll be final) but don't want to hear all the other crap.

22!!! Sounds like winter is upon you guys!

Ginny, sounds like you live in the pacific northwest!!!
I swear it must have rained 4 inches last night. Probably only 1 but it seemed like it. I'm lucky and never have a problem with the time change.
Thanks for the suggestions to keep that virus away. He caught it from his gf but hopefully it's the same one I had. I've tried everything in the past but I think sleep is the best antidote.

Zip, bp still a little high but get that weight off and you never know, maybe it'll be in managable stats. You do worry me though doing this on your own. Enjoy the long walk....thats probably good for you!!!

Off to bowling and a few hours at work. Changeover at Dollar Tree today.

Got the voting job done. No lines at all but they say it has been very busy all day. We went right at lunch time. Got right in and out. Rainy day here. Zip glad you had a good time waiting inline. At least that is a comfort. Some people have waited as long as 2 hours. My sister is an election judge up in Ill today. A very long day for her. Their polls are open until 7 pm. Most states are closed at 6PM. She cast her vote by mail so she would not have to leave the polling station. She did not want to lose her parking spot.

Julie sure hope your friends DD is going to be fine after this procedure. Prayers sure help too. Hope your bowling goes well.

Barb 22 degrees is sure cold to be standing in line waiting to vote. on getting the job done. You did say that the inspection was finished right? AT the hospital we had 2 inspections to deal with the state and the JACH (hospital accredition board). Very tense situation for several weeks.

Ginny I guess I need to get my eyes checked every 2 yrs now. Guess I got away with that 7 yrs. I did not even realize myself how long it has been. Good you were able to help that next shift out for a while. You are truly a Dock Goddess.

Guess the rest of our crew is out voting. I wonder if Jackie's school closed. I think ours were out.

Later Folks
Loretta

Hello Gang!

Just a quick run thru, as I am preparing for the last Group tonight. They have had their 8 weeks, so celebration for them tonight and pink carnations.

Gotta get ready!

Hugs to the Voters today, keep warm!

Hi everyone,

Got my voting done early today at the utility shed in our village park. I was the only one there besides the 4 elderly polling place workers. Funny, not a lawyer in site though.

Roger, I should have had you pick up a 30" drop- in, white, glass top, Electric range for me in the Bowery. I think you could get that through the Path train doors. LOL

Glad you had some fun in line at your polling place.

It's amazing what a difference in the BP a 5 lb loss can make. Glad you feel better off the darn meds.

You and Barb had me in hysterics with your catholic banter. Brought back memories of when I was Catholic.

Gosh, 22 degrees Barb? Does it warm up nicely during the afternoon? I know in Missoula, it would be in the upper 20's at night and by noon, it could be 75 - 80.

Julie, starving a tumor makes a lot of sense and as Barb said, glucose feeds cancer too. They did a study of brain tumors at John's Hopkins and saw the results on PET scans.
We will all be thinking of the poor girl.
Stopped in at our local Dollar Tree today and the Christmas Cards were already in.

Ginny, hope tonight at work goes better. It takes me a month to adjust to the time changes. UGH!

Loretta, give me a kick in the butt will ya? I need to get my eyes checked.
Gee our polling places are open until 9PM. Wouldn't you think polling hrs. and voting machines should be the same country wide?

Hi ya Susan, Shawnee, Becca, Jackie and lurkers.

Off to catch up on news.
Later.

Hi Guys,

Back from the group that is the last one for me this year. New ones in January!

Hi Linda,
May the best man win, it seems a tough decision this time, for all of you.
The old joke goes, "I prefer your eyes brown so dont get them checked!"

Waving to y'all, gonna settle down with a relaxing show. Back at the salt mines tomorrow, just for two days.

Hi Y'all

Lucky to have the Mail-in Vote here, so that was taken care of several weeks back.

Wondering, why all Polling places aren't open til Midnight,( equal opportunity for shift workers, long lines, inadequate number of poll places etc.)..After, the DAY isn't over til then.
And wouldn't it be more fair if ALL states had the same voting format, like ALL mail-in...

Certainly hope all the "after" crap is settled by at least Inauguration Day...
