MVM THURSDAY, 8/26

Good morning all.

Well last night was a mixed bag...gorgeous evening and a DELICIOUS meal: SEAFOOD AU GRATIN for all. Lovely chunks of lobster, shrimp, scallops, and crab ina divine cream sauce over linguini (Bob chose rice.) With a big salad and good bread, we all ate to BURSTING. But then a BAD boring musical (LULU) which was a ruination of the old Louise Brooks movie of the same name. Stupid songs, badly sung, and poorly scored had us running for the exit before an interminable Act ONE even ended...crash, boom as we left!
Oh well, half a loaf and all that.

Another lovely day and we'll lollygag after a HARD gym workout (I wish those passports would arrive so we could check out the GREAT WHITE NORTH.)

Had company yesterday and today, former DR stopped in for a visit! It sure was good to see him

Barb, the alternative school principal called yesterday to set up an appt. next Tuesday for an interview. It's moving but slower than this ole broad would like. Keeping our fingers crossed. Thanks for asking.

Running in real quick because I have my brush in the stain bucket. It's nasty out there with the poor air quality advisory on the news for this part of the country so I have my N95 mask on and it's HOT.

Roger, that sea food medley sounds absolutely scrumptious!! Sorry about the bad musical. Hey, at least you have all those wonderful theaters at your fingertips.

Ginny, yes where does DR live now? Hope he is close.

Shawnee, I just read last nights thread. You wanted to know about the dressing. It's a KEEPER for sure. My mom and MIL both liked it a lot and Gerard ate the rest of it up and didn't save me a bit Give it a try.
