My Sister is pregnant!!

I just found out yesterday that my sister is pregnant...she has PCOS and was just about to give up this time (months of fertility drugs weren't working). So it was a great surprise!

Anyway, she has also just recently lost 50 lbs on Atkins and wants to stay lc for this pregnancy. Any great advice for her? I've basically told her to up to Maintanance levels and she should be fine. Eat whole foods as much as possible, lots of veggies, etc. During her last pregnancy, she had gestational diabetes.

So, what else should I let her know?

Also, what are your thoughts on sweeteners during pregnancy?

Thanks!

My OB said she didn't recommend aspartame or sacharin but that splenda was ok in moderation, said of course she preferred I use regular sugar. I had just lost 50 pounds myself before I found out I was pregnant. She needs to be sure to add in fruit too!!
