Monday for MVM

Happy Monday Morning to all

Shawnee I love your new avitar. I also liked your name but could not decided if your name was Carol or Shawneesioux in that art drawing.

Interesting discussion about moving when you all retire. I guess I have lived here so long where I really enjoyed vacationing that I forget that I am on vacation all the time now. I really do like living right here in Ky. Guess I found the right spot. Started to vacation here in the early 70s and moved permanently in 1986.

Dh and I attended the 50th anniversary and I ate some salty fried chicken and had a piece of the cake. IT was good. I cannot remember when I had a piece of cake last.

Hope your Monday's are going well for all of you.
Will check back later.
Loretta

Hi everyone, I haven't been on line much today. Had " stuff" to do and was gone off and on all day.
I cleaned out the trunk of the car and started getting some supplies ready. We always take our GF grill, hot pot, one burner table top thingy and some pots, pans and utensils as well as laundry detergent, clorox wipes and other fiddly stuff.

Loretta, guess it's just you and I eh?
It's good to hear that your DH is finally on the mend under your watchful care. Poor guy has truly been through the mill.

hehehe, I love fried chicken and white cake with butter cream frosting. sigh....On very, very rare occasion we splurge too.

Roger, hows that new laptop coming along? Have you figured out how to connect to the phone line yet?

Susan, bet you really, really enjoyed that head massage. OY I can almost feel it now.

Ginny, I found transfer paper today at K Mart and I'll be off to WW tomorrow to compare prices.
Let us know how you and your DH liked your soaps and lotions.

Shawnee, it's good to hear you are getting some much needed rain. How is that big forest fire I heard about doing? Haven't heard anything today on the news.

Yes the soaring Eagle is very spiritual to me also. Something about the pure "magic" of it.

Love those Avatar's of yours. Mine is only a Picasso.

Barb, why all of those Golden's are moving to Fla is beyond me. Who the heck whats to live where it's so crowded, hot, humid and buggy...not to mention the very real threat of hurricanes.

Julie, we miss you.

My, my, just the two of you hanging out today!! Julie, where are you? I haven't heard from you lately and how's school coming along for DGS?

Nothing much happening here -- just getting ready for school and wondering why some people have kids. Of course, the parents are getting younger -- I now have kids of kids that I had in school -- no...I'm NOT that old, they just have kids when they are teenagers.

I'm glad that the stress is over for DH and you Loretta. Maybe things will calm down to real boredom.

I have never liked cake, so it's no big deal to give up but..... ice-cream is another story. After a while I have lost my taste for some treats and am satisfied with no sugar, no flour products.

Linda, looks like the west has cooled down, maybe you just run into snow instead!!

Till tomorrow...... Barb

Wow,

Small turnout today, Hi Loretta, Linda, Barb and everybody.

Not much for us today... A productive day at the gym...a couple AWFUL steaks (no more George Foreman STEAMED STEAKS...eccch...neighbor's airdale got the bulk of them)
an a PILE of Stargate SG 1's on the Sci Fi Channel.
This weeks weather is the nicest of the summer so far!

Modem still has me flummoxed- must be a special cable that looks like a small USB on one end and a phone jack on the other?) BUUUUTTTTT I see I can get a wireless ROUTER plug in card which will allow me to connect to the VERIZON DSL from anywhere in the apartment...more on that as I work it out but it seems doable and ultimately KEWL and I think I can bring it in for $30!

Tomorrow, a show in the Village called LOULOU and a nice leisurely dinner with a friend...AMERICAN FOOD (how bizarre)

Linda,
I hope you're travelling before or after the Labor Day Weekend...it's usually a nightmare on the roads.

Nighty all.
