SuSun you won the race by 4 min. if the posting times are correct.
Congrats on losing 2 of those 3 pounds. Just wondering if your DH is feeling left out with all of this attention little Ella is stealing from his time with you? Hope you include him in your schedule. Zip sounds like you and Bob have a plan in mind there with your thoughts on Cornwall Ontario. You seem to have covered cost of living, entertainment, health care, etc. Mine and Shawnees Kodaks have 3.1 mega pix. The picture quality is great. Linda hope those new batteries do the trick. How long have you used your old batteries. How is your DD, Dakota's "mom" doing these days? Happy Anniversary to Julie!!!!!! WTG on that 41 years. What a doggie bash that will be. Hope the festivities are going to be held outdoors. Thanks for the pics of Burk Shawnee. Boy he sure has grown too. What a sleek looking dog, so trim and fit. That grass does not look too burned out. Ours is getting its usual August look now with hot temps and less rain also. The grass gets crunchy. I agree with you and those school buses Ginny. IT feels like fall has arrived here already. I think the kids get out toward the end of May. LOL on having 5 dogs instead of 6. Jackie that cole slaw sounds like a great idea. Sometimes great cooks just stumble on ideas and ways to improve. Do you go back in Sept to school there? Hey Barb good plan to get out of the room for a while on those "inservices". Do they sometimes come upwith some new plans or just rehash the old in a different version? Drinking that water sure has its benefits. Thanks all for the compliments on my little Leah. Grandma is just too prejudiced. Her toes ARE cute. I tried to get apic of those teeth and might see what I can cropped to make that look decent. Loretta |

Hi Y'all
....always interesting when we have TWO threads ![]() SuSUN, I'll let Loretta worry about your DH's "neglect"...I'd like to know how Sassy and Oliver are doing...hoping they are getting their share of affection too ...for the Pups : ![]() (Maybe ya need to be cloned, to be two places at once )Sounds like you've found a winner in your Yoggie/blueberry combo. I was eating too much of that for two weeks solid...my new addiction is cucumbers, followed closely by tomatoes and cantaloupe. Loretta, GBratBurk is in good shape, his Mom watches his diet closely, and his snacks are veggies and fruits. He had cucumbers while he visited here. Hope your DH is having fewer "frets" with his new bionic part, and meds. ![]() ANY pics of Leah's precious parts are more than welcome and appreciated. Off to other Thread now, see what the others are up to. Shawnee |

Jacki...great work on the chair...looks ready for a Mediterranian terrace...or MY BACKYARD..(if it mysteriously should disappear...)
![]() Are those white Petunias around the perimeter , to vine over the edges? Very Nice!! Your DD will be so pleased. Zip, Thanks for the suggestion. ![]() I've made sliced or diced cukes in yoggie or sour cream, with simple spices...WOW, it has a name! Mostly we have them au natural, with salt...Bob's fav is marinated in Vinegar with onions, hot peppers and spices. Time to experiment further, here's a few I found: (and I grow mint, so...) Cucumber & Onion Raita Ingrediant 1 cup cucumber, diced in small cubes 1 cup onion, thinly sliced 1 1/2 cup natural yoghurt 3 tbs. Patak's Garlic Pickle (a hot garlicky relish) 1 1/2 tbs. fresh mint, finely chopped 1 green chili, finely chopped salt freshly ground black pepper In a bowl mix the yoghurt and garlic pickle until well combined. Add the cucumber, onion, mint, chillies and mix well. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle a pinch of garam masala over raita. ................................... Cucumber-tomato Raita Ingredients: Yogurt 1/2 kg. Cucumber 250 grams Mint leaves (minced) 1 tbsp. Tomatoes 2 Green chilli (minced) 1 tbsp. Black cumin seed (roasted) 1 tbsp. Black pepper powder 1 tbsp. Salt to taste Method: 1. Grate the peeled cucumbers and keep aside 2. Cut tomatoes into small pieces and keep aside 3. Beat the yogurt to get smooth consistency. Add salt, black pepper powder, paste of green chillies and mint leaves. Mix well. 4. Add grated cucumbers and diced tomatoes. Mix well. 5. Sprinkle roasted cumin seeds on the top. Shawnee |

Good evening folks.....
Jacki, that chair is my favorite -- when you make mine -- I want one like that!!
Pretty neat!I'm with you Shawnee, I've always make cukes in sour cream and so nice to know there is a name one could use!! Loretta, you are so right about school buses and Fall!! It just doesn't seem right about going back so soon. School supplies is another symbol of Fall!! Once I took a class and we all had new pens and notebooks -- the professor lectured all class period and we never got a chance to write anything and he says at the end - Sucks, you didn't get to use your new pens!! Leah sure is a little beauty!! Susan, glad you could lose those pounds -- did you give them to me? Take them back girl!! Julie, did you mentioned that you were trying an antidepressant? Maybe I was dreaming again. How are you doing? I'm sure there is something that can help! We do care, you know? Linda, how's retirement? Got all that time on your hands now and maybe you could do more traveling -- like visiting the western states more......... like Colorado? You probably just need one of those BIG campers that look like buses!! Well Zip, I'm glad that all of the future terrorist attacks are coming YOUR way and won't mess up our beautiful countryside!! I'm also glad we have plenty of warning!Ginny, what's in your world? Later, Barb
