TGIF for the VM
Good morning gang,
Bob is off today...Hoo,hah and his temperature is finally back to his normal 96.8. I've taken 2 profylactic Penicillin-V and got vicious diahrrhea. So strange because I've taken 2 courses of 40 pills during the last 3 years and colon was find....hmm, I wonder if the pharmacy screwed this one up??? This feels more like my reaction to AMPICILLIN or to Clarithromycin? I'm going to stroll to to the Target pharmacist and ask to see the bottle. Loretta, thanks on the OUTLOOK, I may give it a shot and I'll e-mail you with any questions I might have. It shouldn't be TOO different from the freebie OUTLOOK EXPRESS, which I always liked. (I learned all about Paget's this morning.) It looks like the bony anomaly in the skull is more the rule in Pagets than the esception so nothing to worry about. I hope Susan finds our page this morning ...must be all that grandmotherly stress.

Hi Y'all
Bit cooler here today, yippie! Nothing of value to mention yet today; just checking in so I won't get Hen-pecked ![]() Zip, good to hear Bob has gotten back his health...but bummer for you, re your symptoms! I HATE that darn time -expiration feature of Edit... Goddess, sure hope you get some down time this weekend to enjoy the Kritters. Montana, I don't have anything going on in the yard to take pics of, too depressing...some roses doing well, but in general, the apt description would be "scraggley"...about two months of no measurable rain has taken its toll. Too expensive to water all of it, so only the pots and the "favorites" get their share.........got tons of cutting back to do, and that's a crappy chore. Still, I'm grateful not to have the deluge that some States are getting. Loretta ...YOU get some rest too !!!More later, time to move from my slug-mode to semi-human, and face the day. ...more java needed!....Geez, I used to be a morning person... Shawnee |

Hi to all
Just moving on slow speed here today. Sure had to catch up on some baking. Those flaxmeal muffins were a life saver to take to the hospital. Shawnee too bad about your lack of rain. I bet that grass does not need mowing either. We have been fortunate this year with the nice amount of rain fall. August will probably be very dry as usual. My toms are doing well but for some reason slow in ripening. Ginny it is good to be back and I sure am thankful that I was able to be with DH. Retirement sure has some nice benefits. Makes for a lot less worry (about getting time off). Still have not checked out your ebay, but slowly catching up here so I can get to that. Thanks Zip for the reassurance on the Pagets. Dh has not had any symptoms that suggest a problem, ie headaches, seizure type stuff, or any other neurological problem. Aug 11th is our appointment date. Linda the one problem with that new pacemaker is that we have to go in to town to get it checked. Not one of the phone deals there. How are you liking the retirement. You are probably busier now than ever. I find myself doing better if I get on more or less of a schedule. Susun you sure need to get some time for yourself. Do you see a light at the end of your tunnel? How much longer for you to be "on duty". Bet Ella is growing like a weed. She had a nice birth weight for a good start. Hi to Julie if you get to check in here and chat for a while. DH is doing better today and does not complain of a lot of pain even though he has massive bruising on his chest and down his arm. He said the doc spent some time "stuffing" that pacemaker into its pocket. Later folks Loretta |

Hi folks. Not much to report from my end. Spent the day being lazy...reading. Did go visit Carol for a bit this morning. Hightlight of the day.
Loretta, I'm glad to see your DH is home and feeling a bit better. Goodness, what a scare. I do have this to offer all y'all: A fine example of American advertisement ![]() |

Hi everybody,
Roger, yeah it is raining cats and dogs right now with some distant thunder. Talk about monsoon season, Chripes! The ol Susquehanna is high and muddy. Looks rather like chocolate milk. It's good to hear Bob is on the mend. Hopefully you won't get it. Bummer on the intestinal upset from the antibiotic. Glad you are loving that DSL. Funny, I checked the Verizon site and put in our zip code. It said it wasn't available in this area Maybe I'll call and check it out because it is considerably less expensive than Road Runner.Hi ya Ginny, UGH the Friday run to those crowded stores. You have my sympathy. Do what I do and try to go on a Monday. There are far fewer people. Shawnee, sorry you are in such a drought and wish I could send you some of this crap. This has been the wettest summer I can remember. So you have municipal water and not a well? Been baking like an idiot in this heat today but I really needed some of those almond flour cookies. Now to keep Gerard from eating them all. Loretta, hope your dh is well on the way to a complete recovery. Julie, enjoy your trip to Idaho. We want to hear all about it when you return. Susan, are you off baby duty for the weekend? Jackie, That picture is fantastic!!! Thanks for the laugh. I remember seeing a whole page of them some time back and wish I had saved them. Here is a funny for all Catholics, recovering Catholics and anyone else who might like a laugh. As the 98 year old Mother Superior from Ireland was dying, the nuns gathered around her bed, trying to make her comfortable. They gave her some warm milk to drink, but she refused. Then one of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen. Remembering the bottle of Irish whiskey received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened and poured a generous amount into the warm milk. Back at Mother Superior's bed, she held the glass to her lips. Mother drank a little, then a little more, and before they knew it, she had drunk the whole glass down to the last drop. "Mother," one of the nuns asked in earnest, "please give us some wisdom before you die." She raised herself up in bed and, with a pious look on her face, said, "Don't sell that cow." |

Hi again, y'all
Weatherwise, a super day...don't think we broke over 80, and had a nice breeze... ![]() GADZ, love those jokes, Gals! ...and Humor is good for the soul, or some such. ![]() Hey, at mid-morning, while I was knee-deep in paying bills...this wacky LowCarber showed up on my doorstep with a jug! My kind of visitor, bearing gifts.. LOL...a bottle of SF DaVinci, my fav of Dulce de Leche... Thanks, Jacki ![]() Did just enough yard work to get my hands dirty and face sweaty... ( gotta keep up my "farmer" appearances, ya know) ...don't want the neighbors to think I've become a sissy.Loretta, the darn dry and semi-burned lawn grows just enough to look raggedy...kinda the in-between-haircuts look. The weeds in it are thriving, however. My Toms are sure taking their time to ripen too. Hope your DH is feeling better each day. Yeah, Montana....City $$ water for us...at one time, this place was on the outer edge of town, and had 2 septics...then "suburban sprawl" skipped over our area, and built up monsterously....Now, its reversing direction, and our pastures are becoming huge homes and condos. COOKIES???...better keep an eye out for Loretta too, she's a cookie nabber, ya know. Geez, Julie...hope your trip is great, and y'all avoid those darn forest fires. Jacki, I made some of those Zucchini chips we were discussing...well, Bob ate most of them, but the few I got were darn good. OK, who's gonna post some pics ???? I'm holding out til You other Digital owners cough up some ![]() Have a fine and content weekend, everyone. Shawnee |
