Wednesday June 23 for VM

HI to all

Shawnee I am so surprised that the flour company was bogus. I wonder if you will be able to retrieve your flour $$$$$$. I really have not had a problem ordering from the internet. I feel so bad for that happening to you. What recourse is available for you.
We were all set for good foods too. What did Bob say about it. I know DH would say "I told you so" or something like that. Thanks for that article on the HMO s being protected from law suits. Interesting read. Wonder where health care will end up. It is a mess for most and that new medicare drug card business is another joke. Hardly able to figure that one out. If you are on assistance or have another rx provider you are automatically out.
About my mag, I found out today when I visited the web site that I had been mailing my email to the wrong address. Evidently they had changed it. We will see what happens today. I could access my account and it was not credited with my new subscription.

Ginny I had to LOL about you not having chiggers in your back yard. I want to know how you know that. I bet if I came over and took a tour of your back yard they would find me.

Julie you are not being short. Just be your regular self and we love you just as you are. Short of tall Don't plan on stepping around you maybe just step on you

Jackie how will you ever get that pumpkin carved. You will have to put a street light in it to light it up.

Going to sew some today.
Yellow Day Lily Avitar thanks to Corgi Girl (Vickie on the Golden)

Later folks
Loretta

Hey gang,

Cloudy and cooler here today for us. That's a good thing, especially when I have to work in such a warm environment (in the summer).

Loretta, the only bugs we have in our yard (that anyone's found) have been the occasional rare tick and some fleas. Now that we use the Advantix on the dogs, the fleas stay away. I don't know if chiggers are 'picky eaters', but I've only had a couple bites one time before this. Can't imagine getting a whole mess of 'em! A friend of mine has problems with them, but I was never affected, so I reckon it is possible they are here and just don't like us. (No one else has ever had a problem tho...)

Julie, no tiptoeing around here! We're waiting with you for everything to be done with re your DGS, and hoping for the best for him and y'all. Get an air conditioner, at least for your bedroom!

Linda, hope you're having fun!

Shawnee, I've still got that can of whupa$$ put back if you need it. Hope your credit card co. takes care of this to your benefit! Go snuggle the StarPup and recharge the batteries, I don't reckon Jacki will mind

Jacki, recovered from the tiller yet? I can't use the dang thing, pulls me all over and aggravates the elbow/wrist. I let DH have that job

Zip, hope you're getting un-sore quickly after that dive. I wind up with occasional strange bruises from work periodically and wonder where I got them....

Susan, we don't really have mosquitos here but we do the heartworm preventative anyways. At home I may get bit 4 or 5 times during the summer by the dang critters, but other places in our area have them so we continue the shots for the dogs. I do wish I could do most of the shots myself instead of having to carry everyone to the vet--5 dogs is sure a van full!

Well, off to lurk for a bit, then get ready for the day!

These are my chochet items that I have learned how to make, on the left is a dish cloth and on the right is the pot holder. The pot holder is double thickness of 100% cotton. It works great too.
I feel like Grandma Moses learning a new art. (well craft)

I have received an email response from my mag and yes I am updated on my subscription. I wonder why my first email to them did not get that Deamon message?

Morning,

Had one of those nights!!!!!!!! Looked at the clock at 3:30 but must have finally fell asleep after that. Good Lord, my brain just went into overdrive and I couldn't shut it down for life or money. Finally reset my clock for 8:30 instead of 7:30 for Curves. Got up and called my friend and begged off. I just can't do this 9:00 bit. I've gotten spoiled lollygagging around in the mornings since I quit work. Last night I finally decided then why the heck do I do it. Not anymore...will enjoy what life I have left doing what I want. Now does that sound selfish, spoiled or what? LOL

Loretta, I love your new crocheted things. I have a pattern for knitted pot holders and they too are real thick. Forgot about that pattern. It helps to keep the fingers busy. You are doing great. Christmas presents???
Love your new avitar!!
Glad you got that mag sub. taken care of.

Ginny, we are not suppose to have ticks around here either but I have found one on Bo once. Pulled it out without even knowing what it was. Groomer confirmed it and was shocked to see one. We do have lots of fleas which BTW I'm deathly allergic to. I'm not sure about chiggers but haven't heard about them around here either. Now those pesky mosquitos are another thing. We do get lots of those in the summer months especially around water and trees.

Off too cut up some strawberries. for my breakfast. Yummmm Catch the rest of you later.

Hi Y'all

Blessed nice cool morning, and hopefully not gonna get above hi Seventies today...last couple of days, the WeatherGuys have been off the mark over these cloud covers..and I'm so happy about it.

Loretta, those Grandma Moses projects are super. Proud of YOU ! DD used to keep me supplied with the potholders.
Glad ya got that mag thingy settled; seems like the Consumer has to do all the legwork to protect themselves from Companies.
Have ya found a "pain/itch relief" for the chigger bites?
Bob just gave me ''the look" and the headshake, didn't even have to go verbal
He's ok with it now, after I explained we are protected.

My first call to the CC Company, after jumping thru the "press 1/4/6/ blah", I got a goofus gal who talked in fast circles, and would not give me direct answers. I hung up on her, after telling her she needed to read her Company's Policy manual. Called again and luckily got a dude "Darryl"....(yes, documenting again) who explained that the "F-company" had 30 days to deliver (July 17) before action would be taken against it..and any further charges from it would be reversed back to it. My Acc is flagged and protected.

RE the Medicare/ extra coverage crud...I read that those companies offering them can change their Rx coverages weekly!
We did some investigating before this even came about, had already gotten Bob a Supplimental policy, cut and dried, thru State Farm $150 month. It helps with surgical/Dr/Rx expenses, is good anywhere, and is Medicare approved.

Ginny, I could have used your CAN yesterday...I was HOT after I found out some facts. I'd gladly eat my words yet again if the Flour showed up!
Years back, I got a Tick on my waist (side) while out camping in the woods. Bob assured me he could remove it, head and all..well you can guess...so I went to the Dr when we got home, and he picked out the head, and gave me ointment RX.

We have water our for the critters in birdbaths, etc. Must change daily to prevent skeeter larvae. The pond has a pump, so the water is moving in it...plus the few remaining goldfish are EATERS!

Julie , I'm all for doing what I want ...as much as I can get away with, anyway Yum on the strawberries, had 'em last night over yoggie. Brekkie was Yoggie with cant.
Hope you can get back a decent sleep cycle.

Must get off my duff and do a tad of Suzy...or go outside, which I prefer.

later

hello everyone.

Julie, those kind of nights are so frustrating.....you feel so drug out the next day. The lollygagging thing.....it's a good thing!
I hope tonight is more restful for you.

Loretta those crochet dish rags work great. You did good work.

Orchid, my veggie garden isn't all that big anymore and our tiller is a charm to run. Didn't stop my arms and sholders from feeling it although some of that may be from shoveling the dirt into hills to plant the stuff in. And winding up 100' of water hose into a neat coil. It kept getting twisted.

Carol, I'm sorry to hear about the jacka$$es ripping you off on the flour. Dang!! I know I was going to be the recipent of some of those baked good too.

Want to see what I made today??? Nothing special, just quickie job made with copper pipe, a tomato cage, aluminum wire, a small terra cotta pot and a light globe. Oh....and there's some duct tape too I planted my jasmine vine in this:

Hi Gang o' Maintainers!

Another gorgeous day up here today. I left work early today to grab some of it. Felt great tonight not so tired.

DH has dragged all the carpet and underlay out of the living-dining room and put it out for the garbage day tomorrow! He is raring to go! He has already done the family room with the hardwood floors, so he now thinks he is an expert. His old knees are giving him heck lately. He has osteoarthritis and takes Mobicox twice daily.
He loves a project though, so this will keep him busy right on thru the weekend.

Ginny,
Thank you for posting that anti-itch cream. I will try anything to help Oliver, sound like a good product with tea tree oil.
Great FurKid info, thanks for sharing. Yep, too bad you can't give them their injections. I guess the Vet wants to make sure it gets into their blood stream and not into a nerve or another structure.

Loretta,
LOVE your dish cloths. They will also double as face cloths with some home made health store soap for little gifts. You could color co-ordinate the cloth and soap. Okay, that's my contribution to the creative side! LOL!
You are putting me to shame. I really should make the baby something before she is born....or just afterwards.

Linda,
Yes, I am planning on take a longer leave of absence. I was planning on taking July and August returning mid September. I will start to test the waters the next few days. I really want to keep this job cuz they let me take off in the winter months to Flordia.

Jacki,
Our Queen of Creativitiy!
What a delight your creation is and serves a purpose too!
I gotta find me a chair??? LOL!

Julie,
Those kinda a nights we have all had. When I get them, I am usually anxious about something or too much coffee!
I am sure you will sleep like a log tonight!
Great news on Nick and the girlfriend is a bonus. Boosts the self esteem eh? He has probably taken a U turn now.

Shawnee,
I do hope you get some response soon from that Flour company. Sheeesh! We are so trusting and then it shocks us when this kind of thing happens. Then, all as they say, is Buyer Beware! It is a tough one to remember. I like how you document every transaction. Good tip!
Love your Ascot Lady Hat! A real winner for sure!

Roger,
Are you okay? Did ya find more bruises today?
Or, did ya book a flight on that amazing rocket yesterday?
Do they take Visa? LOL!
Get well soon!
How was the Fish last night?

One short walk with Oliver today, so not much physical activity today. Trying!
