SATURDAY VM
Hi everybody,
Well, I misssed the QM2 coming IN to NYC this morning because I slept til 7. It's very murky so no decent pictures would be possible. Maybe after the burnoff, we'll see her leave tonight at 6:30PM. We are doing a bike ride down the waterfront this morning...looking forward to it! Otherwise not much on the boards. I'd very much like to see the new THE HUNTING OF THE PRESIDENT but it's opened in only one theater in New York yesterday and the crowds would be nutsily insane. It's about the hounding of Bill Clinton by the Nazi's now running this country into the ground! Maybe in a couple weeks. Penny's finally has a sale on some Rx sunglasses that look ok ($99)...Best wait til Monday on that too...no sense fighting the weekend mall crouds...hate to pay it but mine are really too strong for me now. Jackie, The flowers on the Angel Trumpet look very much like Moonflowers (but with different leaves)....Ernestine is GORGEOUS; Phonecia would LOVE her...."Mr. Vidal...<snort...snort..>We are the PHONE Company and if you want to experience REAL PAIN we can pull your wires ONE BY ONE ,<snort, snort> Mr. Hoover, Jedger Hoover? Tell your wife I LOVE her vacuum cleaner!"<snort, snort> Loretta, Black coffee, no I didn't see that (maybe it's in the .msn INBOX?). Anyhoo that half and half I use now is COMPLETELY FAT FREE...can't save more on that. Susun, Is the camera straightforward? Shawnee, Ham and Peas....yum, yum...I'll look for a nice Cook's ham too. It's been a month of Sundays! I hope everybody begins the weekend wiith a BANG.

Good Morning Magnificient Maintainers!
A gorgeous Saturday morning percolating! That ole SUNshine is peeping through and no work today, so that's a "Good Thing" in my book! My errands to run today, are to the Vet with Oliver, heartworm Med time and more anti itch cream for his allergy?irritation? They cant seem to find any evidence of anything living on him. It is a complete mystery why he has it under his front armpit areas and now a bit on his chest. His hair is thinning there now too. Hearing test went well, not much of a change in two years! But he did mention that I should get another aid for the other ear. I have to check with our insurance to see if I am covered again. They covered the last one, not sure if it is every two years or three. Roger, Wow, those Rx glasses sound a good deal! I wonder where my nearest Penny's is? LOL!Yes, hope you manage a pic tonight. It is Italian week up here, so we are going to the Italian sector tonight to sit out on the patios for Pizza, of course no crust for me. Everything else will more than replace the bread. I haven't read up on the camera yet, just incase it is going back. Julie, Thanks for the Dogwood suggestion. I will check into that. Shawnee too suggested that as it is so feminine. Gotta get out to the Vet and do some groceries, so will have to return with Oliver first. Have a wonderful Saturday! SuSUN! ![]() |

Hi Zip and SuSUn
I just talked about the cream on the tag end of someother day this week Zip. What about the carbs in the fat free cream? That's why I just went to black coffee. Will you be bike riding by the QM this am? Glad you enjoyed the salmon. I have not ever tried it baked or grilled, just as salmon patties with salmon from the can. Jackie thanks for the "EYE CANDY" with the Angel Trumpet and that lazing cat. The age of technology is great with our cameras and being able to share them with so many people. Susun you are just going to have to start experimenting with your camera and learning how to post the pics. You will surprise yourself at how easy it really is. Poor Oliver I hope he gets some relief. Has he been on steroids for that yet? Julie glad to hear that your Mariners won for a change. Shawnee we had another inch of rain last night. I think next year I might just put some mulch in my containers and plant in that and forget using soil. Those bought hanging baskets are very light when dry. Wonder what they use? I bought some beautiful white impatien baskets for $5 each the other day, to replace my homemade ones. Linda LOL on the duct tape and putting Gerard in the trunk. I have some thoughts along those same lines some days. Ginny we sure have had a cool down here after last nights rain. No humidity to speak of today. How wonderful. Hope you got some of the same there. L8ter Loretta |

Hi everybody,
It's a wonderfully cool but cloudy day here . Weather Bug says it's 59 degrees. That's my kind of weather. Roger, enjoy that bike ride. Wow, that's a great price on prescription sun glasses. Humm, maybe I'll check out our Penny's on Monday since the crowds are awful on weekends. Seems we can't win. Construction delays during the week are awful but the retail places are crowd free. Then on the weekends when the roads are relatively easy to navigate, the shops are a mad house. Hopefully tonight, we will watch that tape. Loretta, Want some of my tape? Susan, Do learn to use that camera. Can't wait to see some more but smaller pictures. Waving to everyone. I'm off and running. L8ter. |

Linda,
I'm looking forward to that cool front that moved through the big B, we can expect it tonight. It's still hot and sunny here. Bike ride was WONDERFUL. All that stationary biking at the gym makes the real thing as easy as pie. On the way back we stopped at Penney's and took advantage of a 4 hour sale to get me 4 alligator-type knit shirts (Regualr $24, SALE $9.99)...it's pretty much all I wear...EVER. I've got every color of the rainbow and THEN some! Loretta, That's 3 grams carbs per ounce of Fat-Free half and Half...as I recall, about the same as the fat-fat cream! Nappy-poo in the cards this afternoon. Tomorrow we will do an Indian buffet Linner in Greenwich Villageand maybe a one-man show afterwards- maybe not- we have dollar tickets ![]() If we time it just right maybe the buffet can be a BERLINNER!!!! ![]() They are always good for my waistline! Jacki, Following the properties of your snapshots, I just signed up for PhotoBucket....I'm hoping for a bit faste than PhotoIsland and that "link for auction nonsense." Thanx. Julie, I added downloaded Ad-aware Ver.6...You're right, it's a LOT more complicated than the old version I had before my last REFORMAT! YAAAWWWN! Last edited by zip2play : 06-19-2004 at 12:44 PM. |

Roger, hope that cold front gets there soon. It got rid of our nasty 90% humidity.
Glad you found some great shirt bargains. Wow, that's really a good price. I'm in the middle of that documentary. It's extremely interesting and I'll watch it again. My mom wants to see it too. Many thanks again to you and Bob. |

Running through tonight. Had a great day 84 and sunny for our picnic with a GY gal and her DH. We were lazy and just brought salads BK and we picked up Subway. Tried the new wrap and wasn't impressed at all. Could've made a much better one at home. Wonderful time though.
Zip, glad it wasn't just stupid me on the AdAware. Spybot is so easy but have been running them both anyway. Thanks for cheering me up by you saying it was cpmplicated too. SuSun, hope Oliver got some meds. Poor dear!! Linda, what tape??????? Loretta, Mariner's won again!!! 3x in a row.

Hi Linda,
Cold front through and temp is well into the middle 60's. Let's try PhotoBucket (clumsy so far): ![]() Thirteen blooms and another main stem a-budding...almost 2 feet high! Hey, it worked...we tried HARD to see the QM sail but she sat upriver and we gave up....3 big boats sailed by though (and while I was snapping them some ******* stole my binoculars from right behind us ![]() Last edited by zip2play : 06-19-2004 at 09:04 PM. |

Hi Y'all
Ninety-ish-something ...just plain HOT ! today...thankfully it had cooled down tonight. Had a T-Boomer storm for about an hour this evening...windy but mostly dry with a just a tad of hail and insuffecient sprinkles...Hmmmm, sounds like I'm describing a weather Martini. The wind WAS suffecient to bring down 3 limbs... about 12 footers...luckily they fell harmlessly. Coons raided the fish pond early this AM...just dime goldfish, and coons gotta eat too (My neighbor however has spendy Koi.) One of the bandits was a bobtail...must be a genetic trait for the local tribe, cause we've been seeing a bobtail every year for almost 20 years...and I know they don't live that long.I'm making Yoggie....either make it or go to the store before I was totally EMPTY....since I'm now addicted, that would be catostrophic, like hearing you're out of potty paper. No Flour Delivery yet! Grrr...maybe I'm rushing it, I placed the order 3 nights ago. Tonight I needed a DESSERT...NOW! So I made my Nuker Bread posted on this Thread Monday for VINTAGE MAINTAINERS But subbed DaVinci for the Water, and added Cardamom, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon...YAY, Yummy. The ol' Finn is a Happy Camper cause he loves Cardamom. ![]() We went South this AM to a small town that was throwing its annual bash. Had a great brekkie of Denver omlettes at a nice restaurant, then found a spot to watch the Parade. My piccies didn't turn out for crap, I was facing the sun..but it was old fashioned and fun. Click on Slideshow http://img59.photobucket.com/albums/v179/shawneesioux/? Then we stopped here to visit our neighbors who were camping on the Columbia. Been a full day. http://www.columbiariverfrontrvpark....=0&ACT=2&pic=0 ZIP, what a Bummer re your binocs...GRRRRrrrrr! Sure is a great pic of HER tho. Hail, Proud Mary ![]() The lovely Phonecia is as gorgeous and graceful as ever. ( I used to do a wicked Edith Ann back in my partying days )Loretta, that's some DEAL on the Impatiens...it costs me that much or more to start from scratch..pot, soil, starter plants. The professional potting mix is light and loamy...vermeculite, compost, peat.. Add some packing peanuts. Really!Jacki, love those Angel Trumpets Hope Ernestine and StarBrat avoid them, all parts are narcotic and poisonous. Your yard looks great after that haircut. ![]() SuSUN, finding the true allergy for Pups is almost impossible, unless ya get lucky...too many possibilities, maybe even your carpet or barkdust, his food, the list is LONG. Poor lil guy. I was playing with an Oliver clone today, her name is SweetPea. Montana, share that duck tape... Still chasing your tail today?Julie, How bout them Mariners!!!!! THREE in a row..scarey! Glad your picnic was fun. Most of those wraps are made with soy, and taste like used cardboard. Ginny, hope you and FurKids are having a lot of bonding time and lollygagging. later ShawneeLast edited by shawneesioux : 06-19-2004 at 10:36 PM. |
