Wish I could help but I never counted any percentages since I am too lazy and couldn't be bothered. I just followed his old book and now just eat lots of protein, legal vegetables, low glycemic fruits, very few grains and an occasional home made treat.

Maintenance is an individual thing and we all have to find our own way.

Congratulations on reaching goal and best of luck maintaining.

I try for a ZONE friendly 40/30/30 with the carbs (the 40%) as sugar free as possible, and the fats only 1/3 saturated.

The hardest part for me is keeping the fat down after a lifetime of eating closer to 50% fat. I try to judiciously apportion my cheeses (which I LOVE.)

I count every calorie!

In most interviews I saw with him, Dr. A said he ate 60-65% fat most days.

That range works well for me as I get close to maintenance. In my main losing phase I was usually 65-70% fat.
