Monday, May 31 Vintage maintainers

Good morning gang.

In about 1/2 hr., we are going to have some Navy fighter Jets fly over our area at an altitude of 1000 ft. It should be spectacular but will scare the chit out of people who aren't aware of it being scheduled. LOL

We are taking my mom and daughter out for a seafood dinner this afternoon for their birthdays. Mom is 80 today and DD is 40.

Hope everyone has a great day.
More later.

Hey y'all,

Had some pretty strong t-boomers last night, but the worst went around us. Still makes one a bit edgy tho! Where we are is a good location as far as severe weather is concerned, the way the land lies pushes the tornado type stuff either north or south of us, but still it will get too close for comfort. What I worry most about is the possibility of hail! Fortunately we did not have that!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Hi Y'all

Been a really busy string of days ...been to cemeteries from Mt St Helens to Salem, OR. Stayed off freeways as much as possible, and enjoyed the country backroads. We tried to combine the "business" of doing graves with the "pleasure" of road trips....since it can get emotionally draining.

Today, its time to play catch-up with home and yard stuff. Bob thinks he needs to go fishing; I think we need to work on a slow drain....damn old pipes! We've replaced a lot, but obviously not enough.

I was reading on the Recipe Help Board that some folk pour grease down the drain....., believing hot water will push it on thru....what are they thinking ? !!

Be safe in the wicked weather.

Be content.

Hi Linda, Ginny, Shawnee...and the other Vintage Queens,

Banged out gym this morning (closed at noon)...On a lark we have a friend (Chuck) comin over...we'll sip a few (trying 2 a day...for my heart , since Friday) and go out to dinner (Bertucci's?)

Show last night was British cabaret....Bob LOVES cabaret but it bores me silly...lot's of SMILE material (It was cheap.)

Clean apartment for Vicki on Friday is fine for Chuck and if I play my cards right it'll keep clean for cards Friday....then bring on the garbage!!!

Quentin Crisp coined a good line to cover his disaster of an apartment: "After the first two years, the dust doesn't get any thicker."...

Enjoy the day (nobody barbecuing in Jersey City...chilly, overcast and threatening!)

Welcome back Shawnee, my gosh we really missed you.

Glad you got to take some pleasure in those side road trips between visits to cemeteries.

OY, people are so ignorant!! I can't imagine pouring grease down a drain. Guess they will learn the hard way.

Roger,
Enjoy your clean apartment , friends and dinner at Bertuccie's. Loved that place and wish there were one near here.

Oh Gerard told me about this so I thought I would share.

Be very careful.

Ginny, glad those tornado's and hail missed you. That front is pushing into NYS now but no tornadoes are predicted.

Hi Guys,

Her but very tired. Had a long day off-site today. Monday is the toughest day of the week but that is over now!

I only have Wednesday to work and that's it for this week.

Preparing for DD's Baby Shower June 6th, this Sunday. Any good suggestions for shower games?

I tried to figure out how to post the pics of the nursery on here.
If I go to insert image it prompts me for an url. I dont have one. It is still a .jpg bit too tired to figure it out tonight.

Linda
I do not have XP so I could not resize the way you told me.

Jacki,
How the heck do you post them gorgeous pics?

Will be more with it tomorrow!

Susan, did you upload the pics to Photobucket? You need to resize them too.
BTW...that nursery is so beautiful! I love the way it's looking.

Gee Susan, sorry about no XP. Perhaps Roger can help with the resizing of those huge picture files. They really take up a tons of space in e mails.
Lovely nursery though. At least my yahoo let me see them this time.
Do you have "MY PICTURES" in your start menu? If so, play around with it and see what you can do.

Jackie, that is one SPECTACULAR GARDEN. WOW!! Thanks for sharing.
Humm, I don't use photobucket but do use photo island. Wonder if they both work the same way.

Julie, where are you girl??? I'm getting worried. Are you OK with DGS there?

Loretta, if you are reading. We MISS you a lot.

Barb, same with you. If you can check in we would love to hear from you.
