Afraid to Try Dreamfields Pasta?

I followed the stampede into Walmart to buy Dreamfields Pasta after reading all of the positive stuff about it on this site, but I can't bring myself to try it. I think I'm afraid of things getting out of control quickly. I've never strayed off of this way of eating and don't want to now that I'm in maintenance.

Have any of you "maintainers" felt the same way, or better yet.... Have any of you been able to exercise portion control with the Dreamfields?

Emmie,

I decided to test my Blood Sugar ( I am not Diabetic) to see just how my body would react to it. Unfortunately it caused quite a spike, so it's not something that I would have very often at all.

I have eaten it one time with no adverse reaction that I know of. At least I didn't gain any weight from eating it.

I'm planning on trying it this week. I haven't had pasta in a looooong time, so I'm a bit nervous too!

So did you try it? Inquiring minds want to know

Next time you are at Wal Mart, pick up a Relion Blood glucose meter and some lancets. It's the most inexpensive unit there is and very good and easy to use.

It's very interesting to check your blood glucose when trying new foods.
Test before you eat then at 1 hr., two hrs and four hrs. See how you react to it.

)LoveMontana-

Nope, I haven't tried it yet. I think I'll wait until the weekend. My neighbor bought some when I did and has been eating it twice a week since. So far, no weight gain. She's on maintenance, too.

Right now with the hot weather, I've been happy with salads and veggies (with cheese and meat, of course .

That is too funny! I looked and looked for it (couldn't find it at the superwalmart on glenwood at 540) and called around to see who carried it. Finally found it at winn dixie on kildaire over a week ago and am scared to try it. I have been pounding the yogurt and don't want to make any room for anything else in my diet right now.

It just sits in the cabinet mocking me

I'm sure I'll try eventually!

I found the Dreamfields with the regular pasta at the Walmart on New Hope Church Road in N. Raleigh.
