Just a quickie before I fly out the door to work.

Thank you Shawnee for the carb count. I have bookmarked that site. 23 carbs for 100g is not too bad when it is dispersed through quite a lot of cream or yogurt.

Good morning Susan and fellow maintainers,
Gee, you're up and out early.

I got my WHOOSH this morning....1 NEW pounds but dammit, Vicki came over last night and she brought a ton of schitte...including a bag of Hershey's "Special Dark" chocolates and after a VERY dietacious day, I spoiled it with that irresestible crap! So I guess the pound won't be immediately joined by her sister. (Down 15 this year.)

Phonecia sporting her first 2 summer blooms...she looks like a happy princess.

It will be good to have Bob home for 3 days after all this steady work. (Getting in a good quarter so the Unemployment Comp 2 years hence will be a good check- complicated method...next year is already determined!)

Gee, just read that the average Manhattan Apartment is now fetching close to $1 million....can you imagine a mortgage from Hell like that?

I think I'll make a pot of pea soup (vegetarian). I've been looking at 3 bags of dried peas for YEARS...with a crusty piece of French bread and some Smart Beat it's always been one of my FAVES.

Long Manhattan bike ride in the cards for us tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be in the sunny 70's!!!

Heard that the ONE condo down here (all others are rental) had a rash of robberies last week...scary stuf: locks were picked, ID's, passports, SS cards, checks were stolen...from the MIDDLE of the checkbooks...of course cash and jewels gone!!!!
...I checked- my diamond tiara is SAFE!

The hit apartments all had their peepholes taped shut...BIZARRO!!!

Hi everyone,

Spent the afternoon at Lourdes Hospital getting my annual ( almost) blood work and mammogram. Boy I hate fasting for 12 hrs! Took a lunch with me and ran out to the car to nosh between appointments.

LOL Susan, you will do just fine when the baby comes and have literally thousands of pictures to share with us. Just cut them down to manageable size.

Humm, how is unemployment figured in NJ? here in NY one must work 20 weeks to be eligible to collect 26 weeks of unemployment right after being laid off.

One million!!! Yikes. Been searching on line for apartments, town houses and condos in various parts of the country and they aren't too bad, especially in Tenn., Va.and SC.

Got my book out and will e mail you a list sometime later tonight.

Off to get something to eat.

I guess the others have gone away for the long weekend.

So glad today is over, got the 3 day weeks done with. My 2 day week next week! That suits me better but if I want paying for 2.5 days gotta do it for now!

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE WHOOSH! 15lbs gone this year! Excellent going!

Funny you should mention a lawsuit! Today at work, a colleague asked, "Did I hear about the class-action lawsuit in England regarding Atkins." Some people try to knock my WOE every chance they get.

DSIL is the one with the digital camera not me. He takes the pics and sends some to me online. I can open them okay but when I send them on a couple of people say they are too big. Dont know how to recognise the size?

When I read your first line, I had to do a double-take! I thought of Loudres in France and the big shrine there to Our Lady of Loudres and St. Bernadette, went there many times as a child with my mother. I thought she must have gone by Concorde for the afternoon! LOL!
I agree, those 12 hour fasts are tough! Are you allowed a cup of coffee at least? Ours Dr. says NO!
