MONDAY, MAINTAINING VETERANS

Hi everybody,

Limping this connection along, but my research into the involvement of BlueLight, Norton, System Restore and redirect errors like "R6025- pure virtual function call" lead me to believe that Bob opened a bomb last month and that the attack blew off part of the Windows system (Kernel32). I'm resigned to the reformat and I don't mind too much. If I can, I'll wait to an all-rain day.

Jacki,
That PDF link to the cicada recipes was GREAT and I will probably try the stir fried over pasta if they come our way. First thing in the morning though, reading the recipes sort of made my stomach do a slight roll...
A chef on TV said to cook the same way as you do escargot, i.e., quick saute in lots of butter and garlic with a splah of white wine near the end. My escargot is always "to die for" so I'll also give that a shot...<skin crawling as I type>

Wet and gooey but cool this morning going to mid 80's. I'll soon slam the windows and trap the cool.

Julie,
Phonecia has sent up a mass of about 50 buds with the flower first due by next week. She has NEVER seen a ray of direct sunlight in her Northern window but very bright light all day long. So I'd shade that Western exposure in the afternoons were I you (You also have phals right?)

Gym and Spring bike reconditioning.... we could have used them yesterday.

Can't WAIT for the huge Target/Greatway (they tell me that means the really BIG version) that will open next month in the back yard.

Only plans for the week is a show called INTIMATE APPAREL tomorrow and getting the place spiffy for Vicki's visit on Friday...her dinner is easy: One POUND of Pasta (Ziti or Fusilli, rinsed of all remaining starch; No sauce. Lot's of crusty bread- no butter. THE PERFECT DINNER GUEST...her meal costs $.96 YES, the pound of pasta is all for HER!

Seize the day!

Good Morning Fellow Veteran Maintainers!

Roger,
Awwwwh! that's the first time I have been called a Veteran!

Rainy day up here too, the deck is soaked, so Oliver will not venture out.

It is very quiet this morning. It is the first long weekend, several of the neighbours are away opening up their cottages. DH is in Florida, so I am enjoying the peacefulness. I will mossie on over to DD's for supper later this aft.

I do have some, yes you guessed it, more paperwork to complete for work. Details, details, sheesh! I really have to get into the zone to complete these. Wish me luck getting there!

Wishing you All a Peaceful Memorial Day!

SuSUN!

Mornin' all,

Looks like another warm one for us today. I reckon the shorts are here to stay as my warm weather work uniform, so I better get a touch of sun on the legs or I'll be blinding people LOL!

Julie, could you email me a pic of the orchids? Different ones bloom at different times, but your phals should be spiking/blooming certainly by now. Also I need to know your minimum/maximum temperature that you keep the house. How often do you water, and do you fertilize?

Susan, have a relaxing holiday! Our Memorial Day is next Monday, and around here it's the traditional kick-off of the barbeque season.

Zip, yikes on the 'opened bomb'! Reckon that would be a necessary reason for a reformat. Since we've had our system, we've only had to wipe it 2 times, so I'll count myself as fortunate!

Everyone have a great day! I'm off to lurk for a bit...

Hi everybody,

I had jury duty this am, Supreme Court, got picked for the initial panel but was "bumped" off. Whew!! It was a case against the City of Bing. involving compensation ( can ya say frivolous law suite) for some missing property. Guess they had second thoughts about me when they found I have three relatives on the City Fire dept.

Oh Roger, sorry about the impending total reformat. I wouldn't even dare do it on my own.

My God, Vickie is a cheap dinner guest. How on earth does she stand eating that way, how's her weight and blood lipids? Just plain nosy here.

Are you REALLY going to try those Cacadias?
Escargot is great but I shudder at the thought of eating BUGS.

Susan, love the avatar. Oliver is so cute. Enjoy your quite time. Nothing like having the house to one's self for a while.

Aww Ginny, I'm sure your blinding white legs are lovely and the guys at the dock enjoy looking at them.
Have you tried the Nurtogena liquid tanner? It works pretty well for me but you won't catch this old broad in shorts anymore.

Julie, my heart goes out to you and your family. ((((hugs)))
These teenagers can really get themselves into some serious trouble without even thinking of the consequences.

Get him into a rehab or serious counseling program ASAP. You can't do it on your own no matter how much you love him. He needs someone highly trained in interdiction and rehab. who isn't emotionally involved, and he needs to learn a lesson and learn it NOW. If a family continually bails them out of trouble, they will never learn to take responsibility for their actions.

Shawnee, I looked around a bit for low carb tapioca but haven't found it yet. I'll keep looking now that I don't have to go to work or jury duty tomorrow.

Hi Barb, just a few more work days, eh?

Loretta, what's up with you today?

Elaine, are you still around?

Waving to everyone else. Off to catch up. LOL I got home from jury duty and took a 5 hr. nap.
