VINTAGE MAINTAINERS' SUNDAY
Hi everyone,
My liver area DEFINITELY feels less congestion sans the stone load. Bob got some out but not nearly my load. He will try again next year. Next MONTH for me. Ukie Festival wasn't so great....lots of psanky (elaborately decorated Easter eggs) and colorful woven things....but too, too, TOO much food. We walked through quickly mainly because it was 88° and in fuull sun. We walked 2 blocks to Indiantown and enjoyed a complete air-conditioned curry lamb lunch fpr $4.95 (Gotta love Indiantown.) Speaking of Indians, Shawnee, you've GOT to get a better corner if you expect any business Linda, Congratulations on granmotherliness! Birthday party for a friend in Washington Heigts this afternoon...theme is 50's but I;ll be damned if I have a clue what to wear except maybe woolen pants and a tie- like THAT'S ever going to happen!!!!! I COULD bring a golf club reminiscent of Dwight Eisenhower....gee if only I'd kept my "ALL THE WAY WITH ADALAI" pin....I really wore one as a child... ![]()

Hey everyone!
Busy couple days here, hardly been on the 'puter even to check emails! Friday was the usual morning run to town, but yesterday was an EXCURSION! All 5 canines had to go to the Dr. for their heartworm shots. They have the 6 month shot now, and that's better for 2 reasons--cheaper and I don't have to remember the pills! Anyways, 5 dogs and us in the van is an experience. Tyke likes to ride on a seat (sure thinks she's SOMEBODY), Bub and Bull are real troopers and load/ride with no troubles. Nitro and Shey need a loading chute! We gotta practice getting in the van with them so we don't have the run-around-the-yard exercise happen. DH was the designated driver and I was the designated snuggler. No accidents and no one got carsick (read as the little squirts did really good!) Now for their weights: Bub--72 Bull--66 Tyke--75 Nitro--66 Shey--64 Do you realize that gives us 343 lbs of dog in the house? YIKES ![]() Zip, glad the flush went well, but can't imagine epsom salts going down the hatch! Shudder. We have a lot of festivals here, but not many are ethnic, mostly music stuff like bluegrass. They are fun, and one of our former drivers is a fiddle player and we see him regularly at the bluegrass ones. Shawnee, YOU look GREAT! We could have used an extra hand yesterday and you could have gotten lots of slurpy puppy kisses--too bad you're not closer! Linda, CONGRATULATIONS on the new grandbaby! I know all are glad for a safe and healthy little one. You've got a great looking family there, girl! Yikes on the length of labor, how is DIL doing? Loretta, your DH is a sweetie letting you have the fish! Are you down to the annoyance part of the cold now? Main part is done, so finish healing up quick! Jacki, most definitely time to get a new weed whacker! I don't know how many calories you burned, but it had to be considered aerobic exercise for all the heart rate went up! I can't use a weedwhacker due to elbow/wrist stuff so DH has to do all that. We finally had to get a new one last year when the old one quit wanting to run regardless of how many times DH adjusted it. His blood pressure went up a bit too then.... Julie, so y'all had a good time at the get-together? Those are fun! I went to one in Nashville a while back and enjoyed it. Only 1/3 of us seemed to be on an eating plan tho, kinda surprised me. Susan, Barb, Elaine and all I've missed--wavin' to all y'all! Everyone have a great day!

Hi to all
CONGRATULATIONS LINDA!!!!!!! what a handsome new grandson. The whole family is beaming with joy. Those older sister's of his are so pround as is daddy of Nicholas. Dil is a real cutie too. Enjoy those girls for the next few days. Zip that is an amazing retrieval rate for the gall bladder flush. If I hear of ANYONE that is interested I will forward them your successes. Thanks for the photos. Howdid you get our warm weather? We are cold here in the 60s and no sunlight. I'm sure that your "ALL THE WAY WITH ADALAI" pin would fetch a tidy sum. Those political buttons are quite the collectors find. Thanks for the pic Shawnee. Your hair looks so dark. What a nice pose sitting there like a youngster on that stump. Your parks area looks similar to some we have here in Ky. Hope you get to use that fishing license. I haven't been for a while, but will go back to it soon. Ginny what a lot of dog weight, 343 pounds. Must have been a headache rounding them up to get into the van. Is each on a leash to go into the vets or does he make a VAN call? Do you ever get their names mixed up??? Dh had 7 kids and he was always getting them called wrong. ie, Marsia, Martha, Marilyn for starters. Had an interesting past 24 hours. DS and DIL have had this cold also but yesterday they developed N & V. Bad I went over there to see if I could help with Leah and ended up bringing her home with me. They were just too ill to cope. Green was their color. We just packed up bottles, clothes, toys diapers and came here. I knew that they were not in for too quick of a recovery. Leah was so good. We took her to church and to the dinner afterwards, she smiled at all. She slept all night from about 10 to 6:30 this am. She has a cough like ours though. DS and DIL are much better this am after a night of rest and no more vomiting. I sent some home made chicken soup home with them. Going to relax and enjoy this Sunday and NO exercising today. More chicken soup tonight. Loretta Last edited by Loretta V : 05-16-2004 at 11:12 AM. |

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the congrats on grand brat #7. He is a little doll at least in my eyes. He and mom are doing well and will be home tomorrow, hopefully.Been a busy day and to top it off, I picked up a Trojan Horse from an e card someone sent me.. Took many hrs. for a complete anti virus scan and clean up, so I'll not be opening any of those again. Ran to see the baby and mom then took my mom out to dinner. DD came up about 7 PM and just left a few minutes ago. Sheesh, I need to unwind. Roger, thanks for the site for Liver and Gall Bladder flush. Gotta work up the courage to just DO it and see what happens. Bummer on the hot and not so good Uki fest, but glad you found an air conditioned Indian place. Boy I wonder just how much that Adalai pin would be worth these days. Ginny, holy cow!! That is a lot of dogie poundage you have there. DIL is fine but very tired. It's going to take some time to get over that long labor. The length surprised everyone because the two girls came fast. Hope it's not an indication of what the little guy is going to be like. Teehee. Bluegrass is fantastic!! Lucky you living in that area. We have one or two around here but wish we had more. Loretta, oh my gosh those poor parents. They are so fortunate to have you near to care for Leah when things like this happen. Glad she was good for you and slept all night. Gee I hope you and DH don't get that bug. <shudder> Julie, oh you are going to have a wonderful week in Reno. Enjoy every minute of it and relax. Win some big bucks too. ![]() Loved the pictures. Thanks so much for posting them. It's always so nice to be able to put a face to a name. Shawnee, <sigh> wish we had those fish filled, clean rivers here in NY. So now we will expect pictures of the huge fish you will catch. Happy Birthday to your "baby". So what did you guys do to celebrate? Off to catch up around here, so I'll just wave to the rest of the gang. Later. Last edited by LoveMontana : 05-16-2004 at 07:46 PM. |

Hello Gang!
So sorry I was MIA yesterday! We have had a busy couple of days. DD and I were at one of her girlfriend's shower this aft, nice weather for it, not too hot. Great to be outdoors again after the long winter! I have a couple of pics that DSIL sent me from DS's visit last week. I know I cannot sent to Linda, Shawnee and Roger, as I may block your email. I have sent on to the others. I hope that you can open them, only two pics but I am never sure how big they are! Shawnee, I am ironing my linen and lace ready for the virtual "TEA." Strawberries and clotted cream ? or have you managed to construct an Old English Victorian Sandwich Cake, low carb of course! My fine china and dollies are ready! DS was speaking about lifeskills at that Landmark Seminar. They are held all over the States. He joined them years ago. He loves to take part in his spare time. You are right the sunshine has brought out all the tulips, all flowering now! The peonies are half grown and the more delicate lillies are shooting out of the ground, not to high yet for flowering. The ground cover is all in flower too! Ginny, That's a lot of poundage of DOG to LOVE! I guess that's why they call it the pound eh? LOL! Sorry could resist that one! All those pounds of unconditional love and 20 paws to shake! Loretta, That Vitamin B complex is Jamison make, not sure if you have the same brands down there? It sure gives me a whollop! That's why I can only take 1/2 a tablet. Ginseng is supposed to be good for extra energy. I tried them a few years back and I just got very irritable and angry. Not sure why? How's the cold, vanishing I hope! Keep the TLC coming, you deserve a rest! HAPPY NURSES WEEK, for last week. I missed the luncheon at work as I had the pg Moms group.CONGRATULATIONS ON A NEW GRANDSON LINDA! Wow! Lots of lovely black hair for Nicholas Peter! I have forwarded him onto DD, she is nesting now, so it shouldn't be long. You were lucky to be tucked up in bed. She has scheduled me for the delivery with her and her DH! I wouldn't miss it for the world!![]() Yep, definitely a family trait going on there with that lovely dark hair. We expect a full report weight and measures etc....LOL! Roger, CONGRATS on passing those GALLstones! Yep, all those are better OUT than IN! Waving to Julie (have a great trip) Jacki, Barb, and All, SuSUN ![]() |
