Well hi to all.
Shawnee your pictures of the flowers are beautiful. You have such a green thumb and all of your tender loving care for those plants sure shows up in a wonderful way. Our regular peonies are blooming away. LOL on that grueling Catholic Reading. I have been reading the Davinci Code and that is an eye opener, glad it is fiction though. Roger glad that your friend is doing fairly well. They just do a marvelous job today with those bypasses. My DBIL had the most problem with his scars healing up. Did the use his own veins for the grafts? Banned????? from the health bbs. You must have been very bad. Linda well at least it is not the gout. Not very pleasant this aging process. But the alternative is sure a lot worse. Company is just for this evening but Leah is going to be here too for a babysitting event while the kid shop for food for Sunday. SuSUn good to see your post. Nice to have time to spend with family and relax just being with them. What are you writing for? L8ter folks Suzy time ![]() |

Hi, all!
Yes, beautiful flowers. I, however, am an herbicidal maniac. I have no luck at all growing flowers or plants. We've lucky there are people like you, Shawnee, to make our world a more beautiful place. Today is the last day of my re-induction. Only a few more hours to go and I'll be asleep for many of them! I'm going to resolve to make my own treats from now on instead of buying them off the rack. That's what Dr. Phil refers to as "high stakes" eating or something. For some reason he thinks if you tire yourself out in the preparation, you won't over-indulge in the finished product. We'll see: This weekend, I'm making Dobie muffins and those Cheddar Bay biscuits for my freezer. Roger: Your friend sounds in good spirits; that's got to go a long way in ensuring a speedy recovery. Linda: Doesn't look like many of us can age with impunity. If it's not the neck wattling, it's the butt drooping. Little aches and pains can really slow us down. Hi, SuSun! I work with some students who have an aversion to writing so I know how deep-seated that fear can be. Like any other uncomfortable task, the more you do of it, the better you can handle having to do it. I said that with the conviction of an avowed hypocrite. I hate housework and avoid it like the plague. No way in the world would I want to do more of it just to make doing any of it less painful!

Hi Loretta and Elaine, and where is everyone else?
Elaine, Glad to learn I'm not the only one with a brown thumb on this thread. LOL I can kill a silk plant. I totally agree that the processed off the rack products are no good. Most have hidden carbs, are mislabeled and contain soy which harms the thyroid. It's best to make your own. On the Golden BB there is a sticky with lots of tried and true low carb recipes. Take a look. Loretta, You are going to have another busy weekend too. Enjoy the christening or what ever the Baptists call it and take lots of pictures of little Leah. Roger, Banned from the health BB's? Oh tell us, what on earth did you do?Hope your friend is feeling better and better each day. Shawnee, that peony tree is stunning! Sure wish you lived closer. I am in desperate need of a knowledgeable gardener. Julie, are you home yet? We are anxiously awaiting news of your trip. How did your poor friend make out with the cast? Ginny, Is you mom still visiting? Susan, what's up with you? Barb, what's the wildfire situation out there? Hopefully it's not going to be too bad for you. Still waiting for little Nicholas Peter to arrive...yeah I know they switched the name because they didn't like the initials PNZ. LOL Off to the memorial service in PA tomorrow but should be back tomorrow evening sometime. |

Hi Gang!
It was a sunny day again up here! I have two tulips that are blooming in colour, the rest are still greeny tight. The peonies are about a foot out of the ground now, still reddish stalks. I have some ground cover flowers in white starting to bloom too, so the sun and the rain have done their job. April shower bring May flowers albeit it tad late this far North.Loretta, DS is reading the same book. He loves it and he keeps saying I am reading a really good book I dont want it to be over. Good point I will remind it that it is fiction! The writing if for work FAQs for Facilitators of the pg Moms groups. Not my area of expertise, so of course I did procrastinate, then I researched lots of info, read it and inserted it all together, now I have to sort out the important bits and trim it down a lot. I also have to change the lingo to be more reader friendly not all facilitators have a Nursing or Medical background. I am finding it tough and scarey! Yane, Thank you for the encouragement regarding the writing! LOVE the comment on the housework, gotta join ya there too! I think that is my aversion therapy every Saturday morning! I too have to get making some more treats. My fav is the coconut pie, yummy all go in the same pan, less fussing! Linda, I have to catch up with the BB, since MIA have lots of days to cover. Sorry to hear you have some pain right now. Hope you can get some effective Meds to help get you mobile. (((HUGS))) What is the EDD for little Nicholas? How many Gbrats is this for you and Gerard? Wishing a smooth and safe delivery! Wavin to Roger, Shawnee, Julie, Jacki, and All! SuSUN! ![]() |

Hi Susan,
Can you share your coconut pie recipe, PLEASE??? It sounds wonderful. I am making Loretta's LC almond cheese cake for our get together Sunday but will leave out the almond extract and cover the thing with strawberries. Try it sometime. It's wonderful! This will make Grand brat #7 for me. LOL poor Gerard doesn't like the term "grandpa". Makes him feel old. He is the step grand dad for them but gets along with them just fine. Wishing you the best with that FAQ's for Facilitators thingy. Boy I don't envy you. Off to catch up around here. |

Hi Y'all
Sorry this will be short... Was at the beach for a major portion of the day. Returned home to welcome a T-Boomer storm. Tonight my GBrat and her DH...plus GPup Burk...and a new addition, a Basset named Ruby!...paid a visit. Ruby yodels like a Bluetick hound...quite vocal. She's one of GBrat's rescues, and I think she will be here a lot. Thanks Guys for the nice flower comments....but truth be told, the Rhodies and the Tree Peony are very self-suffecient. Blessings to all the Babies, already born and / or waiting to be ![]() Have a safe and content weekend. Moms/Grannies...Celebrate your Status! Hi all, we are home from the best camping trip in ages. Had so much fun playing games, gabbing around the campfire, eating of course but legal.
Wow, this is new...have I been gone that long??? We also had a birthday party for my Bo who will be 3 tomorrow. Balloons, cake and candle and presents. 3 dogs with us so had lots of poop to keep picking up. No Curves so had to do something to bend, bend, bend!! Walking on the beach was wonderful. Sunsets were gorgeous. Had some rain the first day but after that was nice and warm. Of course that fire pit was helpful!!!!No Linda, my gf had to stay home and go get a CAT scan. Her foot was broke in 2 places and tore a ligament. She goes to the Ortho next week to see if she needs surgery. Too bad for her. We did call her everyday several times...thank God for cell phones. I see we have a new friend here. Elaine!!! I will have to read this weeks posts so bear with me. I don't have much of a green thumb but I try and make people think I do as I keep trying. Actually, I'm more of an indoor plant enthusiast. Will catch up tomorrow all..
