Buenos Dias SeƱoras,

We just sent a big group of divers off to Belize by boat so life is sort of back to normal for one day. I suspect that my nanny won't be back to work, or if she is I am going to need to replace her. I would like to keep her on because Max likes her but if she has epilepsy and is not receiving any treatment for it....I just won't feel safe leaving Max alone with her. Even if she had a seizure and nothing happened, it would scare the heck out of him. Anyway, she hasn't been too reliable lately. I just feel bad letting her go for something she can't control.

It's almost light enough outside to go walk, better start stretching. See you all in an hour or two.

Saludos,

Suzanne

Hi Suzanne! Thank you for the tips on stopping nosebleeds! I will definitely try that! I would be nice to get them under control quickly!

Not much new today... I'm so happy it's Friday! My parents have been in Honduras for the last 2 weeks on a scuba diving trip and they are coming back tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to seeing them. I've missed them!

M/S definitely seems to be better this week. I'm hoping maybe I'm done with it! I was reading my Mayo Clinic book last night. It's so hard to believe that at 12 weeks your uterus is just starting to come out of your pelvis and by 20 weeks it's already at your belly button!! Holy cow! I can't wait to be showing!

Hi Sarah! That was Chris who had the good advice about nose bleeds. I haven't had one in 35 years. I want to hear all about your parents' trip! Did they go to Roatan? Utila? I have always wanted to dive the Bay Islands off Honduras, so far the farthest south I have been is the Blue Hole in Belize.

Good Morning!

Thanks so much for the prayers and thoughts!!! They really mean a lot to me.

I am still having the facial and upper-body swelling, headaches, and higher bps. According to the dr things have just progressed a bit. My PE panels came back a little elevated from my last bloodwork but still within the high normal range. The swelling somewhat subsides when I get up after a couple of hours (gravity LOL). I am suppose to head to the ER if the swelling stays around for more than a couple of hours, if my bp goes back up to 150/90+, if my nighttime mental confusion continues, etc etc etc.... I hate being in a "wait & see" situation, I like to get things under control and fixed. So here I am just keeping my bp/swelling/feeling log and trying to turn things over to God.

Suzanne: What awful news on your nanny. Not to mention she was watching poor little Max while unmedicated. Geez - I hope she gets some medical attention and I hope you find a new nanny relatively easy!

Sarah: I love that Mayo book and this is my 3rd pregnancy LOL... It is crammed pack with a lot of neat info and not to mention it was FREE - I was so surprised when mine came in, it really is a nice book! Glad the ms is staying away

I haven't finished reading yesterday's post so I will try to catch up - I do like the new smilies though!!!

Oh and the dr did confirm that they will not let me go past 38wks at the latest - so it looks like another induction unless I go into labor before then... I was sooooooo hoping to avoid induction/pitocin..... I am really going to have to gear myself up mentally to handle this again - it was the worst experience of my life. I guess on a positive note it only last 1hr 15min. Definitely going to start the primrose/borage seed oil around 36wks and the raspberry leaf tea!!

Hi Angela, glad to hear you are OK! That must be so scary. I know the next 10 weeks will be really long and hope you don't have to be induced. Is your doctor willing to strip your membranes?

Rosa showed up this morning and said she's decided to go live in Chetumal, our closest big city. She doesn't even know if she has epilepsy! She has had seizures since she was 7 but says that now she can tell when one is going to start. I told her she needed to go see a doctor and that if it is epilepsy, they can treat it. She has NEVER seen a doctor about this. Anyway, she brought a friend with her who is interested in working and I guess we'll try her out for a week and see what happens. Her friend's name is Rosa, too, which makes her the 3rd Rosa in a row. Max must think all teenaged girls are named Rosa. The good news is that Max liked Rosa III right away, sometimes he's a bit shy so that is why I decided to give her a chance instead of interviewing.

Suzanne: its getting a little scary but I trust everything will be fine. The dr's would normally strip my membranes but I am not sure if they will do it before 38wks... seems like I was 37wks last time when the midwife did mine I was around 3cm dialated - so maybe they will again if I am progressed.

Hopefully Rosa III will be the last!! I can't believe that poor girl has never seen a dr regarding her spells!!! I truely hope she decides to go!!

WooHoo it's Friday!!!!! I can't wait until this day is over

DH and I put up new curtains in our Family Room and rearranged the furniture. We both get bored with the way it is set-up so we like to change is every so often!!! Tonight we are planning on changing Madison's room around as well!

I just finished having a Krispy Kreme, and let me tell you how good it was It is one of my co-workers last day and we brought in donuts for her. The one I tried had a cream cheese filling, some new flavor I guess!

I did get some great news from my Grandma this morning, and that she doesn't have to have radiation treatment! She had a biopsy on a growth in her neck that showed it was malignant, however, all the tests came back fine - Thank God! I know she is definitely relieved. She had breast cancer in the early 80's and had a full masectomy and chemo!

Thininmex - Sorry to hear about your nanny! Hope she goes and sees a doctor! At least she helped out and brought someone by that would work for you! That is great Max took a liking to her right away! Hope it works out for you!

Mrs. Sarah - Glad to hear the M/S is going away! I had mine until my 14th week. I bet you are excited to see your parents. My mom is coming out this weekend to watch DD in her dance recital!

Angelhope - Please take care of yourself! I was induced with DD at 38 weeks and thank goodness I didn't have any problems with Pitocin. I have heard from several people that it was the worst experience for them, I pray this time is better for you!!!!

Have a good morning!

Wendy

Morning all,

Just got back from the ultra-sound appointment. Baby looks great! Wriggling around and kept covering face with hands. So cute!! My hubby and mother came with me, and the radiologist told them the sex of the baby. My mother couldn't stop beaming and kept saying to DH "well, it isn't 100% certain". Thanks mom, now I know I'm having a girl!! So much for a surprise! The only slightly negative thing, I may get called back for another ultra-sound. Because of how she was positioned, they didn't get a very good look at her heart. The baby was facing down and had her backside to us. But as I said before, everything looks great. I'll try and scan some photos soon.. and attempt to post them Wish me luck.

I've never had a Crispy Creme, but would love to try one. Great news about your grandma Wendy! My grandpa is battling prostate cancer, but is doing really well. He has those radio-active seeds, and has been able to carry on with his normal routine, including travelling all around the world!! And he's eighty-six years old! My grandparents are such active people!

Suzanne- good luck with the nanny situation. Sound like you've had some bad luck in that department for a while. Do they have au pairs in Mexico?

Angela- glad you checked back with us. I really hope everything goes okay. At least things are reasonably under control. Maybe things will just happen naturally and you won't need to be induced!

Hope the MS stays away Sarah. Mine ended at about twelve or eleven weeks! And I was so glad it ended! Honduras sounds nice! I love swimming in the warm ocean. It is dark and almost raining here today... I'm missing the sun.

have a great Friday everyone

Nicole

Suzanne - I hope Rosa III works out for you and Max. It is sad to see that she never seeked treatment. It must've been sooo scary for her.

Sarah - Hope MS is gone for good! Mine went away for a few weeks and came back. I hope this doesn't happen to you!

Angela - We're all that everything turns out OK.

Wendy - You are evil!! You mentioned Krispy Kremes in front of a bunch of pregnant woman! Now I must have one NOW!!
Glad to hear good news about your grandma.

Nicole - CONGRATS on your baby girl (maybe)!!! If you have another u/s, I hope everything will be OK again!

Did anyone watch ER last night? An 8-month preg woman's baby died because of a knot in an umbilical cord. I wonder how common or uncommon it is. I can watch gory stuff on TLC, but man, why did they have to kill a baby like that! It must've caused thousands of preg women to be paranoid!!

Hi There -

MRs. Sarah - I used to drive my dad nuts because I would change my room every month!

Aphexacid - My little one was doing the same thing during the 20 wk U/S! Kept BA'ing us I had to go back in last week for another U/S so they could get a better look as well. At least you get to see your little one again! My Grandpa (mom's dad) is battling Prostate Cancer as well and just started radiation. He will be 81 in September and looks great!

FluffiB - Sorry to bring up the nasty evil name!!!!!!

Wendy

Morning all.

I did watch ER last night. I knew several weeks ago about the story line and what would happen. It was interesting to me and dh because that's essentially what happened to us 3 years ago. The only difference is that our drs. were not nearly as nice and kind and caring as the ones on TV. But yes, that is a very truthful and realistic account of what can happen (I was 30 weeks at the time my son was stillborn). As they said, though, it was nothing that the mom had done or not done, it just happened.

I have a question. Does anyone else's babies have a super active day followed by a really quiet day? I am a bit paranoid about baby's movement (due to my loss), and so I track it a lot. Still, it seems that whenever I've had a really highly active day of baby olympics, the next day I am straining to feel anything.

Teach2live- So sorry about your previous pregnancy and how the doctors treated you. My little one was very active yesterday, and today he is so quiet.

Friends of ours went through the same thing at term, 4 days before her due date. They now have 3 beautiful children.

Take Care!

Hi Nicole! I am sure they have au pairs in Mexico but not where I live, at the end of the road to nowhere...LOL Cool news about your u/s, I can't wait to have one!

When you ladies talk about shows like ER, I am really glad we don't have TV. Stuff like that always makes me cry these days.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the full moon has passed a few days ago. So I don't know what the excuse is for my employees. First the nanny, now two of my captains are AWOL in my boats. They took a group of divers to Belize at 5:30 AM and should have been home by noon. This has happened once before, and they came home after dark, drunk as skunks. I just wish they wouldn't do it while driving my boats. At least they won't be carrying passengers on the way back here. It's even worse because my husband went to the city today and I am not real good at dealing with employee problems. I get so angry I don't think straight....not the best condition to deal with drunken captains....LOL Wish me luck!

Good Morning Ladies,

The boats and the captains returned safe and sound at 7 PM last night, exactly 7 hours late and they were drunk as could be. I was so mad I couldn't even deal with it so we are having a meeting this morning. I'll let DH think up a suitable punishment. I am just glad nobody got hurt.

How's everyone else today?

Saludos,

Suzanne

Go girl!! I love to rearrange as well!! I did Mac's room last weekend. Not b/c I was bored w/it, but b/c she had a HUGE kitchen set in there that she NEVER played with. I tell ya, it looks SOOOO nice in there now that I was able to spread out some of her other things. I put the kitchen set in the shed and maybe Kendall will like it eventually!

This happens to me, Elaine. Some days she is very active, and other days, she's much more calmed down. I really wouldn't say that she's moving ALL the time or even every hour by any means.
